Patricia May Brezler
Mrs. Patricia Mae Crampton Brezler, age 57, resident of De Queen, died Monday, June 14, 2004 in Brookewood Nursing Center.
She was born Feb. 6, 1947 at Williamsport, Md., to Raymond Henry and Helen Stallmeyer Crampton; was a CNA at Brookewood Nursing Center; and a member of the Lutheran Church.
She is survived by two sons, John Buffington and Billy Buffington, both of Hagerstown, Md.; two daughters, Teresa Mae Loving of Idabel, Okla., and Lorie Ann Taylor of Broken Bow, Okla.; three brothers, Merle Crampton of Baltimore, Md., Wilbur Crampton of Hagers-town, Md., and Raymond Crampton of De Queen; three sisters, Reba Crampton, Helen Lappy and Brenda Miller, all of Hagerstown, Md.; and six grand-children.
A memorial service will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday, June 24 in Chapel Hill Baptist Church with Rev. Homer Frachiseur officiating.
Harley Henry Culp
Harley Henry Culp, age 83, resident of De Queen, died Friday, July 9, 2004 at his home.
He was born March 1, 1921 in De Queen; was a retired maintenance worker for Sevier County Housing Authority; and a retired rancher. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Mattie Elizabeth Chappell Culp; one daughter, Kathy Ann Culp; and two sisters, Inell McClanahan and Madge Dunn.
He is survived by his wife, Fern Rink Culp of De Queen; two sons, Kim Culp and Randy Culp, both of De Queen; two step-children, Terri Steele of De Queen and Allan Avery of Estansia, NM; two brothers, Jim Culp and Michael Culp, both of De Queen; two sisters, Melba Van Voast of De Queen and Roxa Casteel of New Castle, Tex.; and three grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, July 13 in Wilkerson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. J.L. Walker officiating. Burial followed in Chapel Hill cemetery.
The family received friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, July 12 at the funeral home.
Rev. James Enoch
Rev. James “J.W.” Enoch, age 85, resident of Crystal City, Mo., died Monday, June 28, 2004 at his home.
He was born Dec. 18, 1918 at Lockesburg; was a minister; Director of Missions of the Jefferson Baptist Organization from 1952-1984; retired; a member of First Baptist Church of Festus-Crystal City; and was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II. He was preceded in death by his parents, William Dolph and Maude Bennett Enoch; and a brother, Dr. Clayton Enoch.
He is survived by his wife, Robbie L. Young Enoch of Crystal City, Mo.; three daughters, Judith Welch of Houston, Tex., Nancy Williams of Crystal City, Mo., and Jamie Bahr of Valley Park, Mo.; two sisters, Nell Miller of Santa Maria, Calif., and Rosamond McDonald of Los Alamos, NM; two brothers, Aubrey Enoch of Fouke and Frank Enoch of Texarkana; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Thursday, July 1 in First Baptist Church of Festus-Crystal City with Bro. Odell Beauchamp and Dr. Richard Adams officiating. Burial followed in Sandy Baptist cemetery at Hillsboro, Mo., under the direction of Vinyard Funeral Homes, Inc.

Jesse Hearn
Jesse Hearn, age 47, resident of De Queen, died Friday, June 18, 2004 at his home.
He was born June 28, 1956 in Vaiden, Miss., to Henry Aaron and Ethel Grave Ellis Hearn; was an ordained minister; and a member of Lewis Temple Church of God in Christ.
He is survived by Patricia Nelson Hearn of Texarkana, Tex.; one daughter, Brittany Janelle Hearn of Texarkana, Tex.; his mother, Ethel Grace Hearn of Memphis, Tenn.; five brothers, Melvin Hearn of Trenton, NJ, Henry Albert Hearn of St. Louis, Mo., Willie Hearn of Vaiden, Miss., Gerone Hearn of Greenwood, Miss., and Paul Ellis of Jackson, Miss.; two sisters, Grace Keys of St. Clair, Mo., and Annie Hearn of Memphis, Tenn.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, June 24 in the Lewis Temple Church of God in Christ with Rev. E.A. Edwards and Rev. McCoy Murphy officiating. Burial will follow in Sand Hill cemetery under the direction of Chandler Funeral Home.
Visitation was Wednesday, June 23 from 5 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
Ruth Hoyle
Ruth Emmaline Stipe Hoyle, age 93, of De Queen. She was born November 26, 1910 in Simms, Arkansas to Hector and Jessie Hoover Stipe. She had lived in De Queen for the past five years moving from Wickes, Arkansas.
Ruth was a homemaker who loved her children and grandchildren very much. She enjoyed flowers and gardening. Ruth always had a great time hunting with her husband. She was a member of the Hatton Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Benjamin F. Hoyle; daughter, Panzy Gwindolan Hoyle; grandson, Steven Wayne Hoyle; son-in-law, Floyd Fair; two brothers and three sisters.
Ruth is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Benjamin F. Jr. and WilliaDean Hoyle of Cove Arkansas, Donald D. and Peggy Hoyle of Cove, Arkansas; daughter, Deanna Fair of De Queen; thirteen grandchildren, twenty-two great-grandchildren; eleven great-great grandchildren. Many nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.
Services were held Monday, July 12, 2004 at 2:00 p.m. at the Hatton Baptist Church in Hatton, Arkansas. Interment followed in Witherspoon cemetery in Vandervoort, Arkansas, under the direction of Norwood-Coffey-Leonard Funeral Home in Broken Bow, Oklahoma.
Audrey Meri Glover
Mrs. Audrey Meri Miller Glover, age 55, resident of Grannis, died Friday, June 25, 2004 in De Queen Regional Medical Center.
She was born Oct. 19, 1948 at Salmon, Id., to Adrian Calvin and Marie Antoinette DeSantis Miller; was a member of the Non-Denominational Church; and an employee of Tyson Foods. She was preceded in death by her parents.
She is survived by Lucious Ed Glover of Grannis; one son, Billy Joe Glover of Alexandria, La.; three brothers, James Randolph Helms of Vidalia, La., Joseph Robert Miller of Moss Point, La., and James Ray Wallace of Baltimore, Md.; one sister, Adrian Nance of Grannis; three grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Graveside funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, June 29 in Alexandria Memorial Gardens, Alexandria, La., with Rev. Lee Weems officiating, under the direction of Chandler Funeral Home of De Queen.
The family received friends Monday, June 29 from 4 to 8 p.m. at Chandler Funeral Home.
Leona Janell Kesterson
Mrs. Leona Janell Kesterson, age 71, resident of Dierks, died Sunday, June 20, 2004 in St. Joseph’s Mercy Health Center at Hot Springs.
She was born June 20, 1933 in Pottsboro, Tex.; was a retired restaurant cook; homemaker; and a member of the Holly Creek Missionary Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, Richard and Ollie Smith Beam; her husband, Thurman Kesterson on Feb. 24, 1981; and one grandson, Josh Tedder.
She is survived by one son, Rick Kesterson of Dierks; one daughter, Vanessa Tedder of Langley; one brother, Glenn Beam of Dennison, Tex.; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, June 24 in Holly Creek Missionary Baptist Church in Dierks with Rev. Keith Shewbart and Rev. Bobby Neal officiating. Burial will follow in Dierks cemetery under the direction of Wilkerson Funeral Home in Dierks.

Alma Krudwig
Mrs. Alma (Cantlon) Fears Krudwig, age 101 years, 11 months and 9 days, a lifetime resident of De Queen, died Thursday, July 8, 2004 in Nacogdoches, Texas.
She was born July 29, 1902 in De Queen to Arthur Fletcher and Belle (Sanders) Cantlon. She received her Teacher's Certificate in 1922 in De Queen where she taught school and then became a homemaker. She was a Johovah's Witness. Alma moved to Nacogdoches, July 19, 2002, to be closer to her family.
Mrs. Krudwig was preceded in death by her parents; her husbands, B. G. Fears and Ernest John Krudwig; one brother, Floyd Cantlon; three sisters, Mrs. Reginald Harrison, Mrs. Edwin Stiles, and Mrs. Carl Godwin; and one grandson, William Wade Green, Jr.
She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Blanche (Krudwig) Green of Houston, Texas; three grandchildren, Marc Green and wife, Tona, of Nacogdoches, Texas, Richard Green of Houston, Texas, and Rebecca Rodano of Tomball, Texas; and many loved ones and friends.
Graveside funeral services for Mrs. Krudwig were held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, July 12, 2004 in the Redmen cemetery with C. F. Krudwig, Sr. officiating, under the direction of Wilkerson Funeral Home in De Queen.
The family received friends from 6:00-8:00 p.m., Sunday, July 11 at the funeral home.
Jacob Fletcher DeShazo
Jacob Fletcher DeShazo, age 22, resident of Horatio, died Sunday, June 27, 2004.
He was born April 26, 1982 in De Queen; and was a student at the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Walter Mitchell DeShazo.
He is survived by his parents, Tony DeShazo of Horatio and Deborah DeShazo of Houston, Tex.; two brothers, Henry DeShazo of Fayetteville and Walter L. DeShazo of Horatio; his grandparents, Gretchelynn DeShazo of Horatio and Mr. and Mrs. A.H. Toomagian of Manhattan Beach, Calif.
Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, June 29 in Wilkerson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Coy Arnold and Rev. J.L. Walker officiating. Burial followed in Millwee cemetery.
