Mrs. Flora Harris
Mrs. Flora Mounts Harris, age 77, resident of Daisy, Arkansas, and former resident of De Queen, died Saturday, September 4, 2004 in the Howard County Memorial Hospital, Nashville, Arkansas.
She was born to Tessie W., Sr. and Estella Simmons Mounts in the Burg Community of Howard County, Arkansas, on November 7, 1926.
She was a member of the Church of Christ at Glenwood. She was a retired nurse, as well as a homemaker. She was interested in crocheting, flowers, visiting with people, and especially her church.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her brothers, George, Wilburn, and Dale Mounts; and her sisters, Stacy Bearden, Elva Weems, Hester Kesterson, Maudie Golden, and Nannie Cook.
Flora is survived by her husband of 58 years, Arlis Harris of Daisy, Ark.; one daughter and son-in-law; Vicki and Robert Peek of Mineral Springs, Ark.; one son, Roger Harris of Wisconsin; one brother and sisters-in-law, Roy and Helen Mounts of Dierks, Ark. and Tommie Dean Mounts of Camden, Ark.; four grandchildren; Robin and Roy Perryman of Nash, Texas; Lena Davis of Cleveland, Tenn.; Amanda and Jim Bob Medlock of Hope, Ark.; and Nathan Peek of Mineral Springs, Ark.; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for Mrs. Flora Harris were held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, September 6, 2004 in the Church of Christ at Dierks with Robert Peek and Randy Hughes, ministers, officiating. Burial followed in Redmen cemetery, De Queen, under the direction of Chandler Funeral Home.
The family received friends at Chandler Funeral Home from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m., Sunday, September 5, 2004.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Research, Memorial Chairman, P.O. Box 970, De Queen.

Alice Irene Minor
Mrs. Alice Irene Brooks Minor, age 61 a resident of De Queen, died Thursday, August 5, 2004 in Hot Springs, AR.
She was born February 9, 1943 in Glenwood, AR, to Marion and Nora Brinkley Brooks. She was a homemaker, seamstress and a member of the De Queen Church of Christ.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John Walter Minor on May 2, 2004.
She is survived by three sons: Danny Easlon, Donny Easlon and Richard Easlon, all of De Queen; two daughters: Vickie Dunn of De Queen, and Valorie Minor of Eagletown, OK; a step-son: John James Minor of De Queen; thirteen grandchildren and a number of great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Graveside funeral services for Mrs. Minor were held at 3:00 p.m. Monday, August 9, 2004 in the Chapel Hill cemetery with Paul Hillier, minister officiating, under the direction of Wilkerson Funeral Home.

Patti Sherry
Patti Sherry, age 32, resident of De Queen, died Sunday, August 15, 2004 at her home.
She was born to David L. and Delores Whatley Sherry at Vivian, Louisiana, on October 12, 1971. She was a 1989 graduate of De Queen High School, and was a member of First Baptist Church of De Queen. She was a member of the Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society and was an avid L.S.U. fan. She enjoyed listening to music and spending time with her nephew, Noah Sherry. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Ernest S. Smith, Lillie Mae Smith, and John D. Sherry.
She is survived by her parents, David L. and Delores Sherry of De Queen; one brother and sister-in-law, Kevin L. and Christina Sherry of Eagletown, Okla.; one nephew, Noah Sherry of Eagletown, Okla.; her paternal grandmother, Annie Louise Mason of Bakersfield, Calif.; aunts and uncles: Margaret and Roy Moses of Blanchard, La., Patsy Wilkinson of Vivian, La., and Patricia Harrison of Bakersfield, Calif; as well as cousins.
Viewing for Patti Sherry was from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Monday, August 16 at Chandler Funeral Home.
A memorial service was held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, at the Chandler Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Faron Rogers officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, %First State Bank, P.O. Box 970, De Queen.

Tommy Talley
Mr. Thomas James Talley, age 91, a resident of Horatio, Ark., died Friday, August 13, 2004 in De Queen, Ark.
He was born September 30, 1912 in Lawton, Okla., to Luther Marshall and Willie Mae McCord Talley. He was a farmer, a retired school bus driver and a member of the Williamson Community Church. He was also a 50 year member of the Sweet Home Masonic Lodge.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 74 years, Sarah Rachel Talley; one daughter, Shirley Gill; one son, Wayne Talley; and nine brothers and sisters.
He is survived by three daughters and sons-in-law, Louise and Otis Lay of Atlanta, Texas, Donna and James Mitchell of Horatio and Marie and Lowell Denton of Longview, Texas; two sons-and daughters-in-law; Larry and Glenda Talley of Lewisville, Texas, Kenneth and Angelea Talley of De Queen; one son-in-law, Phillip Gill of Shreveport, and one daughter-in-law, Jayne Talley of Whitesboro, Texas; 19 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for Mr. Talley were held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, August 16, 2004 at the Wilkerson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jimmy Roden officiating. Burial followed in the Clear Creek cemetery, under the direction of Wilkerson Funeral Home.
The family received friends from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

Leddie Jane Knott
Mrs. Leddie Jane Chandler Gibbs Yandell Wesson Knott, age 82, resident of De Queen, died Thurs-day, July 29, 2004 in a Texarkana hospital.
She was born Nov. 26, 1921 in Sevier County to Josh and Rosetta Lingo Chandler; was a retired nurse’s aide; a homemaker; and a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of the Latter Day Saints. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Robert Gibbs, Lum Yandell, Dale Wesson and W.C. Knott; and a daughter, Betty Jane Perkins.
She is survived by a son, Robert “Bobby” Gibbs of Hot Springs; a daughter, Marilyn Jean Pressley of De Queen; a brother, Joe Chandler of De Queen; two sisters, Lyda Ramsey and Lillie Emerson, both of De Queen; 12 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Graveside funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Saturday, July 31 in Chapel Hill cemetery with Presi-dent Tommy Jean Griffith officiating, under the direction of Chandler Funeral Home.

Andrea Aide Zamora
Andrea Aide Sanchez Zamora, age 14, resident of Broken Bow, Okla., died Thursday, Aug. 5, 2004 in Tulsa, Okla.
She was born June 8, 1990 in Panoco, Vera Cruz, Mexico to Isidoro and Olivia Zamora Sanchez; at-tended Broken Bow Junior High School; and was a member of Fuente De Agua Viva.
She is survived by her parents, Isidoro and Olivia Sanchez of Broken Bow, Okla.; two sisters, Candy Sanchez and Mariela Sanchez, both of the home; and one brother, Isidoro Sanchez, of the home.
Graveside services were held at 11 a.m. Monday, Aug. 9 at Broken Bow cemetery with Rene Martinez officiating, under the direction of Norwood-Coffey-Leonard Funeral Home of Broken Bow.

Hazel Stokes Wilson
Mrs. Hazel Elizabeth Stokes Wilson, age 90, a resident of Dierks, died Wednesday, July 28, 2004 at her home.
She was born Friday, July 24, 1914 in Dierks. She was a member of the Dierks Assembly of God Church.
Mrs. Wilson was preceded in death by her parents, Buck and Florence Greenhaw Stokes; her husband, William O. Wilson on March 16, 1979; a great-grand-daughter, Casey Chandler and three sisters, Robbie Nicholas, Denver Cornish and Dottie Bagley and one brother, Harlon Stokes, all of Dierks.
She is survived by four children, Herman Wilson and Majorie Allen, both of Dierks, Bennie Lockwood of Clarksville, and Bonnie Glover of El Dorado; 13 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren; one sister, Olean Efird and two brothers, J.B. Stokes and Vernon Stokes, all of Dierks.
Funeral services were held at 10 a.m., Friday, July 30, in the First Assembly of God Church in Dierks with Bro. Henry Bateman officiating. Burial followed in the Fellowship cemetery, under the direction of Wilkerson Funeral Home in Dierks.
The family received friends from 6-8 p.m., Thursday, July 29, at the Chapel in Dierks.

Kristi Kay Johnson
Kristi Kay Johnson, age 39, resident of Fayetteville, died Friday, Aug. 6, 2004 at her home.
She was born Sept. 17, 1964 at Pecos, Tex., to Bill and Pat Collins; was a homemaker; and a member of Rolling Hills Baptist Church.
She is survived by one son, Jordan Johnson, and one daughter, Jaimisen Johnson, both of the home; her parents, Bill and Pat Collins of Fayetteville; two sisters, Beth Ann Neff of Neosho, Mo., and Julie Randolph of Fayetteville; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Monday, Aug. 9 at Moore’s Chapel Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to The Memorial Fund for the Children of Kristi K. Johnson, Community Bank of North Arkansas, 1685 E. Joyce Blvd., Fayetteville, AR 72703.

Herschel Reinsch Maxwell
Herschel Reinsch Maxwell, age 82, resident of El Dorado Springs, Mo., died Saturday, Aug. 14, 2004.
He was born March 3, 1922 in Belton, Mo.; was a United States Army veteran of World War II serving in Okinawa and Japan; retired from International Paper Company; and was a cattleman. He was preceded in death by his parents, Herschel R. and Bertha Maxwell.
He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Alice Marie Murrell Maxwell; three daughters, Betty Ann Stone of De Queen, Amy Sue Foreman of Jay, Okla., and Treva Jane Foster of Plainfield, Ind.; one sister, Mildred Goodman of Phoenix, Ariz.; nine grandchildren; and 26 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 17 in Hackleman Chapel with Terry Foster officiating. Interment followed in Belton cemetery.
