Albert Daniel Harwood
Albert Daniel Harwood, infant son of Stephen and Rosie Bell Stinson Harwood of Horatio, died Wednesday, Nov. 3, 1999 in De Queen Regional Medical Center.
Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Nov. 5 in Chapel Hill cemetery with Van Ledbetter, minister, officiating, under the direction of Wilkerson Funeral Home of De Queen.
He is survived by his parents; one brother, Stephen Harwood Jr., and one sister, Tiffany Harwood, both of the home; his grandparents, Patsy Stinson of Antlers, Okla., and Frankie and Linda Creekmore of Athens; and his great-grandmother, Pat Butler of Clayton, Okla.
Raymond Rightmire
Raymond Sparks Rightmire, aged 18, resident of Gillham, died Saturday, Oct. 30, 1999 in De Queen.
Memorial services were held at 4 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 4 in First Baptist Church in Gillham, under the direction of Griffin Leggett Healey & Roth of Little Rock.
He is survived by his mother, Lisa Rightmire Meehan of Sacramento, Calif.; his father, Rodger Rightmire of De Queen; a brother, Robert Rightmire; grandmother and step-grandfather, Clifford Swindler of Gillham; and great-grandparents, Woodrow and Ida Lou Cook of Marlow, Okla., and Nora Swindler of Gillham.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First Baptist Church in Gillham.
William Owen Smith
William Owen Smith, aged 88, resident of Elkton, Ore., died Tuesday, Nov. 2, 1999.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Nov. 5 in Smith-Lund-Mills Funeral Home Chapel at Cottage Grove, Ore. Graveside services will be held Monday, Nov. 8 in Daniels cemetery at Wickes.
He was born Oct. 2, 1911 in Haworth, Okla., to Cody and Minnie Smith; was an Army Air Corps veteran of World War II; was affiliated with Owen's Café in Wickes, Owen Smith Lumber Company, and Owen's Mobile Service.
He is survived by his wife, Margie Smith; three sons, Gary Smith of Willis, Tex., Darrell Smith of Pine Bluff, and O. Kent Smith of Los Angles, Calif.; one daughter, Delores Rawls of Pine Bluff; eight grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Michael Vertiz
Michael Vertiz, resident of De Queen, died Wednesday, Nov. 3, 1999 at Welborn Baptist Hospital in Evansville, Ind.
Funeral services are pending and will be announced later by Chandler Funeral Home of De Queen.
Imogene Wheeler
Imogene Edwards Wheeler, aged 92, resident of Haworth, Okla., died Sunday, Oct. 31, 1999 at Texarkana.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 2 in State Line Baptist Church at Cerro Gordo with Rev. J.L. Walker officiating. Burial will follow in Pauley cemetery under the direction of Norwood/Coffey-Leonard Funeral Home of Idabel, Okla.
She was born Oct. 24, 1907 at Waldron; was retired from banking employment; and was a Methodist. She was preceded in death by her husband, Allan H. Wheeler; her parents, Frances Marion and Maud Luella Speer Edwards; her twin sister Pauline Lunsford; and one brother, Hoyt Edwards.
She is survived by three cousins, Anna McCafferty and Madge Fricke, both of Fort Worth, Tex., and Mildred Shirey of Palmo, Tex.; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Joyce Ann Williams
Joyce Ann Kirby Williams, aged 34, resident of Nashville, died Wednesday, Oct. 27, 1999 in Nashville.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 30 in Immanuel Baptist Church in Nashville with Bro. Glen Green and Bro. Randy Hughes officiating. Burial followed in Burg cemetery near Umpire under the direction of Nashville Funeral Home.
She was born May 5, 1965 in De Queen; graduated from Henderson State University in 1985 where she received a B.S. degree in business; returned to Henderson and received her M.S.E. degree in Business Administration; was a business teacher at Nashville High School and sponsored several student classes and the FBLA; and was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her father, Reese D. Kirby.
She is survived by her husband, Randal Williams of Nashville; one daughter, Brandi Williams of Mansfield; her mother, Marjorie Bryan Kirby of Umpire; two sisters, Jan Loyd of Cabot and Kay Adams of Nashville; and two nephews.

Charles Edgar Emerson
Charles Edgar Emerson, aged 73, resident of De Queen, died Monday, Nov. 1, 1999 in De Queen Regional Medical Center.
Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 4 in Chapel Hill cemetery with Norman Brazeal officiating, under the direction of Wilkerson Funeral Home.
He was born April 22, 1926 in Lockesburg; was a veteran of the United States Navy; a diesel mechanic; and a Jehovah's Witness. He was preceded in death by a son, John Emerson, on Jan. 7, 1999.
He is survived by his wife, Louise Lawrence Emerson; one son, Chuck Emerson of Midland, Tex.; two daughters, Lori May of Magnolia, Tex., and Chasidy Emerson of De Queen; three step-sons, Ricky Cannon and Chris Cannon, both of De Queen, and Harold Cannon of Antlers, Okla.; two step-daughters, Becky Liggins of Lockesburg and Debra Mullins of Johnstown, Penn.; four brothers, Woodrow Emerson of Tacoma, Wash., Archie Emerson of Texarkana, Tex., John Emerson of Coos Bay, Ore., and Stanley Emerson of Palm Harbor, Fla.; four sisters, Lynda Monroe of Horatio, Bessie Torgerson of Oak Harbor, Wash., and Della Goins and Francis Yates, both of Texarkana, Tex.; and a number of grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Jimmie Montezuma
Jimmie Montezuma, aged 89, resident of De Queen and formerly of San Bernardino, Calif., died Wednesday, Oct. 27, 199.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 3 in the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witness in De Queen.
He was born Jan. 1, 1910 in Arizona; and was a Jehovah's Witness. He was preceded in death by two sons and two grandsons.
He is survived by his wife, Melba; two sons, Jimmie Glen Montezuma of Glenpool, Okla., and Thomas Wayne Montezuma of Grandview, Ind.; two daughters, Dolores Anguiano of Barstow, Calif., and Deborah Cannon of De Queen; 11 grand-children; and 23 great-grand-children.
