Andrew Dowdle, Jr.
Andrew Tilden Dowdle, Jr., went to heaven to be with the Lord on Sunday, May 11, 2003 surrounded by his loving family. He was a devoted husband, father, "Poppa", and friend to many. Those who were blessed to know him will surely miss his kind and gentle spirit.
Andrew was born in Lockesburg, Arkansas on August 7, 1939 to Andrew Sr. and Sarah Ola Wyatt Dowdle. He is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Vir-ginia Shinn Dowdle and three adoring children: daughter Kelly Sikes and hus-band Bob, and their children, Megan and Drew Sikes, of De Queen, Arkansas; son Kevin Dowdle and wife Shannon, and their children, Case and Tess Dowdle of Anacoco, Louisiana; daughter Kimberly Smith and husband Matt, and their children, Luke and Kade Smith of Lockesburg, Arkansas. Surviving him also are his five sisters: Ellen Revels, Audine Butler, and Irma Friday of Lockesburg, Arkansas, Bobbie Butler of Nashville, Arkansas, and Sammy Winton of Dierks, Arkansas; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Andrew graduated from Lockesburg High School in 1957. He was a shipping su-pervisor for Weyerhaeuser for 27 years. He was a self-employed farmer for the past 17 years. Andrew was an active member of Rock Hill Baptist Church where he served as a deacon. He was a board member and past president of the Sevier County Cattleman's Association, Sevier County Farm Bureau board member, a member of the Democratic Central Committee, served on the Sevier County Farm Service Agency Committee, and the Cossatot Conservation District Board of Di-rectors.
A celebration of his life was held Wednesday, May 14th at 2 p.m. in the Wilk-erson Funeral Home Chapel with Reverends Charles Jones and John Henry Williams officiating. Burial followed in the Lockesburg cemetery.
The family was at the Dowdle home in Lockesburg.

Rigo Fernando Reyes
Rigo Fernando Rosas Reyes, age 19, resident of De Queen, died Saturday, May 17, 2003 in Ozan.
Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. Monday, May 19 in Wilkerson Funeral Home Chapel with Father John Kerr officiating. Burial followed in Municipal cemetery at San Martin Sabinillo Oayaca, Mexico.
He was born May 15, 1984 in San Martin Sabinillo Oayaca, Mexico to Cenobia Rosas Chavez and Angela C. Reyes; and was employed at Tyson Foods.

Margaret Adel Brandt
Margaret Adel Nelson Brandt, age 54, resident of Ft. Morgan, Colo., died Tuesday, Jan. 28, 2003 at Magnolia.
Funeral services are pending and will be held by Jaffey Funeral Home in Ft. Morgan, Colo.
She was born Feb. 24, 1948 at De Queen to Dewey H. and Nina Norine Luster Nelson. She was predeceased by her husband; and father.
She is survived by one son, Richard and one daughter, Melany, both of Denver, Colo.; her mother, Norine Nelson of Ft. Morgan, Colo.; two sisters, Marilyn McCoy of Greeley, Colo., and Denise Christenson of Taylor; one brother, Jerry Nelson of Ukiah, Calif.; four grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews. She was the niece of Naydean Pogue of De Queen.

Fay William Wade Jr.
Fay William "Pete" Wade Jr., age 43, resident of Albany, Ore., died Thursday, April 3, 2003 at his home.
A private service was held for family under the direction of AAsum Funeral Home of Albany, Ore.
He was born Nov. 5, 1959 in De Queen to Fay William St. and Martha Jo Wade; was raised and schooled at Gillham; and was a skilled carpenter.
He is survived by three sons, Ricky Wade of Cleburne, Tex., Dalton Gregory Wade and Timothy Jordan Wade, both of Reno. Nev.; three daughters, Andrea Wade Smith of Mena, Lana Wade of Cleburne, Tex., and Kayli Wade of Texas; his mother and father, Betty and Fay William Wade Sr. of Albany, Ore.; two brothers, James Curtis Wade and James Preston Green, both of Salem, Ore.; four sisters, Cindy Peterson of Albany, Ore., Pamela Sue Wilson and Kimberly Wade, both of Beaverton, Ore., and Sherrie Green of Portland, Ore.; one granddaughter; and a number of nieces and nephews.

"J. D." Vaught
Mr. James Dewan "J. D." Vaught, age 66, a resident of Dierks, Arkansas, died Saturday, April 12, 2003 in the Christus St. Michael Healthcare Center in Texarkana, Texas.
He was born on November 11, 1936 in Bethel, Oklahoma to Elbert Taft and Emma Beatrice Graves Vaught. He was a logging contractor for Potlatch Lumber Com-pany, an Army veteran, and a Baptist.
Mr. Vaught was preceded in death by two brothers: Herschel Vaught and Bobby Jack Vaught.
He is survived by his wife: Lynn Jones Vaught of Dierks; three daughters: Carina Tolleson of Kirby, Arkansas, Tammy Hill of Bryant, Arkansas, and Bev-erly Joe of Hot Springs, Arkansas; one step-son: Jamie Vinyard of Dierks; two sisters: Mary Louise Cook of Kirby, and Glenda Lovelace of St. Crois, Virgin Islands; seven grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for Mr. Vaught were held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, April 15, 2003 in the Langley Hall with Rev. Kyle Cowart officiating. Burial followed in the Langley Hall cemetery, under the direction of Wilkerson Funeral Home in Dierks.
Memorials may be made to Log-A-Load for Kids for Arkansas Children's Hospital, 800 Marshall Street, Little Rock, Arkansas 72202.
The family received friends from 6-8 p.m. on Monday, April 14, 2003 at the funeral home in Dierks.

Ned Stephens "Dick" Click
Mr. Ned Stephens "Dick" Click, Sr. of Winthrop, AR, died Tuesday, October 5, 2004 at his residence. Mr. Click was born in Winthrop on August 23, 1906 to Francis Rebecca and Charlie Johnson Click and had been a lifetime resident of Winthrop.
He was a member of the first graduating class of Winthrop and a graduate of the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville. Mr. Click was a Mason, a past member of the Little River County Democratic Committee, the Little River Equalization Board, the Rural Development Authority, and a naval veteran of World War II, Winthrop City Councilman, served on the Winthrop School Board, and taught Veterans after World War II.
He was a prominent businessman, owner and operator of the N.S. Click Hardware and timber broker. He was a Baptist.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 50 years, Loma Lewis Click.
Mr. Click is survived by six children and their spouses: Rod and Wanda Click of Winthrop, Drs. Mary Ellen and B.J. Jenkins of Pine Bluff, Steve and Rosie Click of Winthrop, Sharon and Darrel Oglesby of Foreman, Donna and Jimmy Murry of Winthrop, and Charlie Jean and Anita Click of Winthrop. He is also survived by fifteen grandchildren, twenty six great-grandchildren, and numerous friends.
Funeral Services for Mr. Click were held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, October 7, 2004 in the Winthrop Gym with Rev. Audie Dawson officiating. Burial followed in the Campground cemetery, under the direction of Wilkerson Funeral Home in De Queen.
The family received friends from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, October 6, at the funeral home.
Those wishing to memorialize Mr. Click may make contributions to the Winthrop Library.
Pallbearers were his grandchildren.

Paul Edward Carter
Paul Edward Carter, age 50, resident of Waldron, died Monday, Oct. 4, 2004 in a Waldron hospital.
He was a construction worker and of the Church of Christ faith.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Friday, Oct. 8 in Cedar Creek Church. Burial followed in Parks cemetery at Nola under the direction of Martin Funeral Home of Waldron.
He is survived by his wife, Marilyn Carter; one daughter, Samantha Beth Carter of Mena; two sons, Matthew Gene Carter of Gillham and Paul Edward Carter Jr. of Horatio; two stepsons, Neil Allen Frazier Jr. and Nelson Paul Frazier, both of Waldron; his parents, Charlie and Winnie Carter of Parks; one sister, Brenda Matheson of Danville; one brother, John Carter of Parks; and four grand-children.
Visitation was held from 4 to 9 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 7 at the funeral home.

Joseph Alfred Currence
Joseph Alfred Currence, age 90, resident of Lockesburg, died Wednesday, Oct. 6, 2004 in Christus St. Michael Health Care System at Texarkana.
He was born Jan. 2, 1914 in Broken Bow, Okla., to Almon “Jack” and Emma Lou Singleton Currence; was a retired log cutter for Dierks Weyerhaeuser; and a member of the Lockesburg Church of Christ. He was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Lue Sibert Currence; and one daughter, Carol Mari Currence.
He is survived by two sons, Jody Currence of Walker, La., and Kenneth Currence of Lockesburg; 10 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Oct. 8 in Lockesburg Church of Christ with Danny White, minister officiating. Burial will follow in Lockesburg cemetery under the direction of Wilkerson Funeral Home.
The family will be at 185 W. Main in Lockesburg.

Dixie Madge Dunn
Dixie Madge Dunn, age 84, resident of Arlington, Tex., and formerly of De Queen, died Saturday, March 22, 2003 at her home.
Graveside services were held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, March 25 in Chapel Hill cemetery under the direc-tion of Wilkerson Funeral Home.
She was born July 2, 1918 in Gravelly to James and Alice Culp. She was predeceased by her husband, Rex L. Dunn in 1990.
She is survived by four sons, Bobby Dunn and Sam Dunn, both of Arlington, Tex., Bill Dunn of St. Amant, La., and James Dunn of Sherman, Tex.; three brothers, Harley Culp, Kenneth Culp and Buck Culp, all of De Queen; two sisters, Roxa Casteel of New Castle, Tex., and Melba VanVoast of De Queen; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Visitation with the family was be held from 7 to 8 p.m. Monday, March 24 at the funeral home.
