Frederick Jones, age 68, of Delight, Arkansas died Tuesday, January 27, 2004 at The Pike County Hospital in Murfreesboro, Arkansas. He was born September 17, 1935 in Lewisville, Arkansas. Mr. Jones was a retired superintendent with Gifford Hill Company and was preceded in death by his parents, A.P. and Cephia Jones.
He is survived by: his wife, Helen Jones of Delight; one son, Duke Jones of Plano, TX; one daughter, Angela Parks of Marion, AR; three sisters, JoAnn Sutton of Magnolia, AR, Delliah Cleveland of Plain Dealing, LA and Brenda Beene of Stamps, AR; three grandchildren, Kyle Lee Parks, Marisa Erika Jones and Ashley Paige Jones; several nieces and nephews.
Memorial services will be held at 2:00 pm on Friday, January 30, 2004 at the Smith Funeral Home Chapel in Stamps with Bro. Wallace Alexander officiating and burial in Wilson Cemetery at Lewisville, AR under the direction of Smith Funeral Home, Stamps.
Grace Burton Kilgore
Grace Burton Kilgore, 81, of Bradley, Arkansas died Friday, January 9, 2004 in a Bossier City, Louisiana hospital. Mrs. Kilgore was born August 5, 1922 in Bradley. She was a devoted mother and wife. She was a member of Shady Grove Baptist Church in Bossier City.
Mrs. Kilgore was preceded in death by: her husband of 62 years, William C. Kilgore; her parents, Willie and Jewell Burton; two sisters, Dema Spruell and Bernice Cheney of Bradley, AR; one brother, Haywood Burton of Bossier City.
Survivors include: one son and daughter-in-law, Johnny and Robin Kilgore of Bradley; three daughters and sons-in-law, Carolyn and Kenneth Lamar of Bossier City, Marsha and Lanny Foster of Coushatta, LA, and Billie and Tim Shows of Bossier City; eight grandchildren and eight great grandchildren; two sisters, Billie McCalman of Bradley and Ruth Basile of Houston, TX; one brother, Jay Burton of San Antonio, TX; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Services were held at 10:00 am on Monday, January 12, 2004 at the Bradley Baptist Church with Rev. Earl White officiating and burial in the Walnut Hill Cemetery under the direction of Smith Funeral Home of Stamps.
John W. Adams
John W. Adams, age 67, of Plain Dealing, Louisiana died Wednesday, January 7, 2004 at the Willis Knighton Hospital in Bossier City, Louisiana. He was born November 29, 1936 in Shiloh, Louisiana.
Mr. Adams will always be remembered as a loving, loyal, honest and wonderful husband, bather, brother, grandfather and friend. He worked as a mechanic for most of his life, preferring to work with tractors and farm equipment. He was preceded in death by: his parents, Robert & Louise Adams; sister, Margaret Sue; and a granddaughter, Johanna Gail.
He is survived by: his wife of forty-five years, Lorene Adams of Plain Dealing; two sons & daughters-in-law, Tommy & Diana Adams and Terry & Angela Adams, all of Plain Dealing; two daughters, Tammy Padilla & friend Anthony Soto of Pueblo, CO and Tina Hunt of Bradley, AR; sister, Lucy & Al Lambka; brother, William "Dee" Adams; seven grandchildren, John, Billy, Amber, Patrick, Lindsay, Chaise and Cheridy; special niece, Margie Lambka and special nephew, Alan & Leah Lambka.
Funeral services were held at 4:00 pm on Friday, January 9, 2004 at the Salem Baptist Church with Rev. Bob Phillips officiating and burial in the Salem Cemetery under the direction of Smith Funeral Home, Stamps.
Frank M. Cochran, Jr.
Frank M. Cochran, Jr., age 82, of Bradley, Arkansas died Monday, January 5, 2004 at the Willis Knighton Hospital in Bossier City, Louisiana. He was born June 2, 1921 in Bradley.
Mr. Cochran was a member of the Bradley Baptist Church, Owner of Cochran Hardware in Bradley, member of The Rotary Club, retired from Bradley Fire Department, graduate of Ouachita Baptist College and a Veteran of World War II. He was preceded in death by his first wife of fifty-two years, Virginia Cochran.
He is survived by: his wife, Everlene Cochran of Bradley; two sons, Edward Cochran of Bradley and Glenn Cochran of Ft. Worth, TX; three daughters, Susie Hargis of Monticello, AR, Marion Morgan of Woodbridge, VA and Alice Carlson of Auburn, AL; mother, Hortense Cochran of Stamps, AR; nine grandchildren and one great grandchild.
Funeral services were held at 2:00 pm on Thursday, January 8, 2004 at Bradley Baptist Church with the Rev. Byron Allen and Rev. Paul Bunkhalter officiating and burial in The Walnut Hill Cemetery under the direction of Smith Funeral Home of Stamps.
Henry Lee Flournoy
Mr. Henry Lee Flournoy, age 66, of Stamps, Arkansas died January 2, 2004 at Wadley Regional Medical Center in Texarkana, Texas. He was born July 2, 1937 to Arthur and Artie Flournoy, Sr. in Minden, Louisiana. He was a retired truck driver.
He is survived by: his wife, Julia Flournoy of Ft. Worth, TX; sons, Kenneth Wayne, Charles Ray and Henry Lee Flournoy, Jr.; daughter, Ms. Mary Flournoy; eight grandchildren and three great grandchildren; his mother, Mrs. Artie Ellis of Stamps.
Funeral services were held at 2:00 pm on Friday, January 9, 2004 at the Smith Funeral Home Chapel in Stamps with burial in the Lakeside Cemetery under the direction of Smith Funeral Home, Stamps.
Laura Lee Wootton Wise Adkins
Laura Lee Wooton Wise Adkins, age 89, of Plain Dealing, Louisiana died Sunday, January 4, 2004 at Grace Home in Shreveport, Louisiana. She was born February 18, 1914 in Lewisville, Arkansas. Mrs. Adkins was a homemaker and a charter member of Oak Hill Baptist Church in Plain Dealing. She was preceded in death by: husbands, John Delaney Wise, December 9, 1973 and John E. Adkins, July 27, 1998; two grandsons, Donald Lee Ely, September 11, 2001 and Edwin Momberger II, March 20, 1998; and son-in-law, Joe Cliff Senn, November 19, 1999.
Survivors include: five daughters and four sons-in-law, Mae Wise Ely and husband, Bill of Karnack, TX, Nell Wise Senn of Karnack, Nita Wise Hamilton and husband, Glen of Stamps, AR, Marie Wise Momberger and husband, Ed of Woodlands, TX, and Vadie Wise Robinson and husband, Robby of Plain Dealing; grandchildren, Joey Senn, Vicki Senn, Robby Robinson, Jr, Randy Robinson, Elane Momberger sharry, Rita Hamilton; great grandchildren, Derrick Senn, Danesha Ely Anderson, Ginger Robinson Berry, Niki Senn, Ashley Sharry, Trent Robinson, Emily Momberger, Edwin Momberger III; great grandchildren, Lauren Taft, Autumn Anderson, Madison Berry, Jordan Senn, Maedon Anderson; one brother Percy Wootton of Houston, TX; one sister, Polly Wootton Lambert of Alvin, TX.
Services were held at 2:00 pm on Tuesday, January 6, 2004 at the Oak Hill Baptist Church in Plain Dealing with Bro. Kevin Hathorn and Bro. Wayne Craig officiating and interment at Oak Hill Cemetery under the direction of Smith Funeral Home of Stamps.

Ida Marie Morris, age 84, of Taylor, Arkansas died Saturday, January 3, 2004 at the Magnolia Hospital. She was born in Walker Creek on February 22, 1919.
Survivors include: one son, Gene & Rebecca Sue Morris of Taylor; two daughters, Delores Ann & Dodd Knight of Taylor and Johnnie Carolyn & Charles West of Texarkana; eight grandchildren, ten great grandchildren, a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held at 2:00 pm on Tuesday, January 6, 2004 at the First Baptist Church of Taylor with Bro. Jerry Evans officiating and burial in the Taylor Cemetery under the direction of Smith Funeral Home of Stamps.
Robert J. Luce Buehler
Elder Robert J. Luce Buehler, age 72, of Lewisville, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Friday, January 2, 2004. He was preceded in death by his father, William Conner Luce, his mother, Pearl Buehler, his two brothers, Rodney D. Buehler and Joe Luce, his sister, Kathy Matthews and his son, Johnny Dean Buehler. Mr. Buehler was born in Ida, Louisiana on May 6, 1931.
Survivors include: his wife, Arlene Buehler of Lewisville; two sons and daughter-in-law, Terry and Kathy Buehler of Stamps, AR and Bill and Patricia Buehler of WhiteHouse, TX; two daughters and one son-in-law, Janice Arndt of Jacksonville, FL and Julie and Larry Cox of Lewisville; one brother, John D. Buehler of Lewisville; two sisters, Betty Fern Caskey of Lewisville and Patricia Barr of Queen City, TX; thirteen grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.
