Floy Fae Goodwin
Floy Fae Goodwin, age 83, of Willisville, died Sunday, March 21, 2004 at the Medical Park Hospital in Hope, Arkansas. She was a member of White's Chapel Baptist Church. Mrs. Goodwin was preceded in death by her son, Jacky Goodwin in 1971.
Survivors include: her husband of 65 years, Garland Goodwin of Willisville; two daughters, Kay & Gaylon Waters and Peggy & Paul Bailey, all of Willisville; one brother, Tillman Hairston of Baytown, TX; one sister, Betty Green of Ashdown, AR; six grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, and a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held at 2:00 pm Tuesday, March 23, 2004 at White's Chapel Baptist Church with Bro. Wayne Langston officiating assisted by Bro. Daniel Williams with burial in the Union Cemetery under the direction of Smith Funeral Homes of Stamps, AR.
Charles Camp Miears
Charles Camp Miears, age 71, of Ft. Smith, Arkansas died Wednesday, March 10, 2004 at his residence. He was born April 6, 1932 in Lewisville, Arkansas. Mr. Miears was a farmer and a U.S. Navy Veteran.
Survivors include: one daughter and son-in-law, Rebecca & Bill Brown of Harrison, AR; two brothers, Dan Miears of Ft. Smith and Jr. Miears of California; one sister, Louise Grant of Cedarville, AR; two grandchildren, Misty & A.J.
Graveside services were held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 13, 2004 at the Knighton's Chapel Cemetery with Rev. Jerry Pulliam officiating under the direction of Smith Funeral Home of Stamps, AR.
Ronnie Joe Franklin
Ronnie Joe Franklin, age 53, of Waldo, Arkansas died Wednesday, March 10, 2004 at the Magnolia Manor Nursing Home. He was born January 9, 1951 in Waldo. Mr. Franklin was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and a retired plant foreman with Red River Aluminum. He was preceded in death by his father, James W. Franklin.
He is survived by: his mother, Betty Franklin of Waldo; two daughters, Stephanie White of Stamps, AR and Tessie Millican of Waldo; five brothers; two sisters; four grandchildren, Chase White, Dusty Taylor, Destiny Millican and Austin Millican.
Graveside services were held at 3:00 pm on Friday, March 12, 2004 at the Harmony Cemetery at Macedonia, AR with the Rev. James E. Franklin officiating under the direction of Smith Funeral Home of Stamps.
Marjorie Marie Evans
Marjorie Marie Evans, age 81, of Willisville, Arkansas died March 3, 2004 at the Heather Manor Nursing Home in Hope. She was born to Tom and Rosie Goodwin on July 20, 1922 in Bodcaw, Arkansas.
She was a member of Whites Chapel Baptist Church, a homemaker, an excellent seamstress and a former fabric department manager of Wal-Mart in Magnolia. She married Dail O. Evans on October 7, 1939. They were married for over 64 years. She was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Dayle Evans.
Survivors include: her husband, Dail O. Evans of Willisville; son, Jerry Evans & wife Dot of Hope, AR; two daughters, Judy Burns of Stamps, AR and Jana Gibson & husband Wayne of Willisville; two brothers, Garland Goodwin of Willisville and Aubrey Goodwin of Rosston, AR; five grandchildren, four great grandchildren and a host of friends.
Funeral services were held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, March 6, 2004 at the Smith Funeral Home Chapel in Stamps with Bro. Jerry Evans & Bro. Wayne Langston officiating and burial in the Union Cemetery under the direction of Smith Funeral Home, Stamps.
Davis Foster
Davis Foster, age 85, of Lewisville, Arkansas died Tuesday, March 2, 2004 at the Homestead Manor Nursing Home in Stamps. He was born March 17, 1918 in Sardis, Arkansas. Mr. Foster was a retired oil field worker and a long time resident of Lewisville.
He is survived by: his wife, Myra Virginia Foster of Lewisville; two daughters, Shirley Gibson and Debbie Huckabee, both of Lewisville; one son, Michael Foster of Lewisville; two sisters, Ann Storar of San Antonio, TX and Doris Landes of California; five grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
Graveside services were held at 2:00 pm on Friday, March 5, 2004 at the Wilson Cemetery in Lewisville with the Rev. Harold Freeman officiating under the direction of Smith Funeral Home of Stamps, AR.
Mamie Lou McDonald McGoogan
Mamie Lou McDonald McGoogan, age 112, of Stamps, Arkansas died Monday, March 1, 2004 at the Homestead Manor Nursing Home in Stamps. She was born January 12, 1892 in Blanchard, LA.
Mrs. McGoogan was a homemaker and a member of the Mars Hill Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas D. McGoogan and by a daughter, Kathleen McGoogan.
She is survived by: two sons & daughters-in-law, Leon & LeAnne McGoogan of Lewisville, AR and Leo & Pamela McGoogan of Birmingham, AL; eight grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; eleven great-great grandchildren; five great-great-great grandchildren.

Ruth M. Gray
Ruth M. Gray, age 73, of Booneville, Mississippi died Monday, March 1, 2004 in Booneville. She was born February 11, 1931 in Kentucky. Mrs. Gray was a homemaker and was preceded in death by her husband, Herman Lee Gray, Sr., and by two sisters, Frankie Gibson and Janice Smith.
She is survived by: two daughters, Betty Justice of Booneville, MS and Judy Hicks of Springhill, LA; one son, Herman (Pete) Gray of Taylor, AR; mother, Sylvia Payne Gray of Taylor; four brothers, Robert Mullins of Taylor, Jimmy Mullins of Schoolcraft, MI, Fred Mullins of Sommerville, AL, and Larry Mullins of Shongaloo, LA; three sisters, Wilma Oswalt of Portage, MI, Chris Mullins of Michigan, and Pat Mullins of Portage; eight grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 11:00 am on Saturday, March 6, 2004 at the Stateline Baptist Church with burial in the Stateline Cemetery under the direction of Smith Funeral Home of Stamps, AR.

Lamae Francis Rogers, age 83, of Buckner, Arkansas died Thursday, February 26, 2004 from injuries sustained in an automobile accident. She was born May 20, 1920 in Hempstead County, Arkansas. Mrs. Rogers was a homemaker, a member of the Hinton Methodist Church and was preceded in death by her husband, D.L. Rogers, Jr.
She is survived by: two sons & daughters-in-law, Joel & Frances Rogers of Colorado Springs, CO and Gary & Darlene Rogers of Buckner; one brother, Narvell & Margie Burns of Jasper, TX; one sister, Dorothia Camp of Hope, AR; two grandchildren, Laren & Chris Tucker of Springdale, AR and David Rogers of Buckner; several nieces and nephews.
