Michael Johnson
Michael Shane Johnson, 14, of Bigelow died Monday, Oct. 16, 2000.
He was born March 20, 1986, in Little Rock, a son of Donald Johnson and Michelle Cannon Johnson. Michael was a student at Bigelow Junior High School and a member of Bigelow Baptist Church.
Survivors include his parents, Donald and Michelle Johnson of Bigelow; two sisters, Christiana Marie Johnson and Amanda Lear Johnson, both of the home; paternal grandparents, Donald M. Johnson Sr., and Sheryl Johnson of Bigelow; maternal grandparents, Billy Cannon of Perryville and Donna Cannon of Bigelow; paternal great-grandparents, Wayne Raborn and Ann Raborn of Sherman, Texas; and maternal great-grandparents, Wanda Darter of Bigelow and Bob Cannon of Perryville.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Friday at the John Jordan Center in Bigelow with Fred Oaks, James Wilson, and Sam Parker officiating. Burial at Volman Cemetery by Harris Funeral Home of Morrilton.
Pallbearers will be Nick Frey, Joe Darter, Chad Carden, Chris Staub, Chris Allison, and Joey Zulpo. Honorary pallbearers will be the Bigelow Junior High School football team.
The family will receive friends Thursday, Oct. 19, from 6:30-7:30 p.m. at the funeral home in Morrilton.
Jearlene Ward
Jearlene Ward, age 65, of Stamps, Arkansas died Sunday, April 25, 2004 at her residence. She was born July 24, 1938. She attended Lafayette County Training School, was a member of Greenville Baptist Church in Stamps, and was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers.
Survivors include: two sons, Robert Wyrick of Stamps and Alec Nathaniel of Warsaw, NC; two daughters, Robbie Easter and Sonia Easter, both of Stamps; sisters, Christeen Ward Mitchell of Milwaukee, WI and Linda Cooper of Emerson, AR; brothers, Elder Melvin Ward, Calvin Ward, John Ward, and Wilson Ward, all of Stamps and Arvester Ward of Tyler, TX.
Services were held at 2:30 pm on May 1, 2004 at the Smith Funeral Home Chapel in Stamps with Rev. James F. Williams officiating.
Ricky Lynn Lee
Ricky Lynn Lee, age 52, of Taylor, Arkansas died Thursday, April 22, 2004 in Schumpert Hospital in Shreveport, LA. He was born December 7, 1951 in Springhill, LA. Mr. Lee was a retired employee of the Alan White Company in Stamps, Arkansas and was preceded in death by his parents, Lyndon C. Lee and Birdie Mae Smith Lee, and was a Baptist.
He is survived by: two brothers & sisters-in-law, James & Paula Lee of Shreveport, LA and Kenneth & Vickie Lee of Shongaloo, LA; one sister, Mollie Arno of Picou Maurepof, LA; a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services were at 10:00 am on Saturday, April 24, 2004 at The Stateline Baptist Church with the Rev. Bill Pickard officiating and burial in Stateline Cemetery under the direction of Smith Funeral Home of Stamps.
Harlia Marie Ward Cox
Harlia Marie Ward Cox, age 62, of Falcon, Arkansas died Thursday, April 22, 2004 at The St. Michael Hospital in Texarkana, TX. She was born October 4, 1941 in Waldo, AR. Mrs. Cox was a homemaker and was preceded in death by her parents, Harold & Lois Ward and by a brother, Rodger Ward.
She is survived by: her husband, Arval Cox of Falcon; three daughters, Rhonda Ramirez of Pittsburg, TX and Millie Knight and Gina Baker, both of Falcon; two sisters, LaDon Jester of Kirby, AR and Pam Jones of Bastrop, LA; one grandson, seven granddaughters, and one great granddaughter.
Graveside services were held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, April 24, 2004 at The Falcon Cemetery with Mickey May officiating under the direction of Smith Funeral Home of Stamps.
Virginia Ann Beasley Baker
Virginia Ann Beasley Baker, age 66, of Bentonville, Arkansas formerly of Stamps, Arkansas died Monday, April 19, 2004 at her home after a long illness. She was born October 4, 1937 in Hope, Arkansas.
Mrs. Baker was a homemaker, a member of The Central United Methodist Church, member of God's Daughters of Rogers, Arkansas and a former member of The First United Methodist Church in Stamps where she taught Sunday School. She was preceded in death by: her parents, Dixon & Sidgel Beasley; brother, Dixon Beasly, Jr.; and by a sister, Dixie Beasley Weaver.
She is survived by: her husband of 47 years, Wilson Baker of Bentonville; son, Wilson Baker, Jr., of Louisville, KY; daughter, Beverly Baker of Fayetteville, AR; grandson, Mitchell of Fayetteville; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held at 11:00 am on Thursday, April 22, 2004 at The Smith Funeral Home Chapel in Stamps with burial in Sardis Cemetery in Stamps under the direction of Smith Funeral Home.
James Stell
James Lambert Stell, 53, of Morrilton was taken from us on Thursday morning Aug. 9, 2001.
He was born Oct. 5, 1947. He was of the Baptist faith. He worked for the Standard Ice Company and Hixson Lumber for 18 years and the 7-Up plant for seven years. He was last employed by Pinecrest Lumber.
He was preceded in death by his father, James Lambert Stell.
Survivors include his mother, Lizzie Stell, of Morrilton; three brothers, Bobby Stell and wife Marcia Stell, Charles Stell and Johnny Stell, all of Morrilton; two nephews, Michael Stell of Atkins and Tyler Stell of Morilton; one niece, Jessica Stell of Atkins; and many more family and friends.
Funeral services were Saturday, Aug. 11 at Harris Funeral Home where Floyd Stell was the officiator. Burial was at Elmwood Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Bill Koonce, Robert Davis, Lud Metzger, Jeff Stobaugh, Randy Beully, and David Stell.
Mildred Flowers
Mrs. Mildred Pauline Ray Flowers, 83, of Newport died Wednesday, Aug. 8, 2001.
She was the widow of Edmond Flowers.
Survivors include two sons, Raymond Flowers of LaPorte, Texas, and Ronald Flowers of Newport; two daughters, Martha Williams of Newport and Carolyn Tucker of North Little Rock; one brother, Paul Ray of Newport, one sister, Dorothy Cook of LaPorte, Texas; 10 grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
Funeral services were 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Southside Baptist Church in Newport. Burial was at Gracelawn Cemetery in Tuckerman by Dillinger Funeral Home.
Elsie Hildesheim
Elsie M. Hildesheim, 95, of Pine Bluff died Wednesday, Aug. 8, 2001.
She was born March 9, 1906, in Decatur, Ala., a daughter of Presley Hall and Lillie Mae Smith Lyles. She was the widow of James Walter Wilson and Clifton Oney Hildesheim. She was a lifelong resident of White Hall where she was a member of the First Baptist Church.
Survivors include two sons, Clifton Lyles Hildesheim of Perryville and James Ellender Wilson of White Hall; seven grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were 2 p.m. Saturday at First Baptist Church of White Hall by Dr. Bob Harper. Burial was at White Hall United Methodist Church Cemetery by Ralph Robinson and Son.
