Floy Dean Bostian
Floy Dean Bostian, 84, of Morrilton, Arkansas died Thursday, July 31, 2003.
She was born August 25, 1918, in Formosa, Arkansas, a daughter of Henry Jones and Ida Treadway Jones. Mrs. Bostian was the widow of Ira “Red” Bostian, she was retired from the South Conway County School District, and was a member of the Westside Church of Christ.
Survivors include two sons, Ronnie Bostian of Gary, Indiana and Ricky Bostian of Morrilton; one daughter, Peggy Greer of Gary Indiana; eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters.
Funeral services were 4 p.m. Saturday, August 2, at the Harris Chapel with Mr. Steve Campbell officiating. Burial was at Hunter Cemetery by Harris Funeral Home of Morrilton.
Pallbearers were Damion Bostian, Bud Stracner, Charles Foster, John Payne, Steve Crow, and Rocky Gibby. Honorary pallbearers were Steve and Jason Stevens.
Geneva Coffman
Geneva Goates Coffman, 91, of Morrilton died Friday, August 1, 2003.
She was the widow of Loyd Coffman. She was born May 20, 1912, in Alread, Arkansas, a daughter of John Buchanan Goates and Estella Jones Goates. Mrs. Coffman was a member of Bethel Baptist Church for 53 years, and retired from Levi Strauss; she was later self-employed.
She is survived by one son, Darrel Coffman of Morrilton; a daughter, Ruth Deaton of Little Rock; one sister, Etta Koone of Conway; four grandchildren, Debra Trafford Johnson of Little Rock, Beth Trafford of North Little Rock, Kristie Coffman of Russellville, and Doug Coffman of Morrilton; five great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were 10 a.m. Monday, August 4, at the Harris Chapel with Bro. James Mullins officiating. Burial was at Elmwood Cemetery by Harris Funeral Home of Morrilton.
Pallbearers were Ron Goates, Gary Goates, Dale Goates, Steve Trafford, Mike Joslin, and Roger Gardner.
Lena Horton
Lena Gordon Horton, age 97, of Plumerville died Friday, August 1, 2003.
She was born June 19, 1906, in Solgohachia, Arkansas, a daughter of Paul Gordon and Cora Belle Atkinson Gordon. Mrs. Horton was the widow of Neil Hobbs Horton, a retired store owner, and member of Plumerville Methodist Church.
Survivors include her nephew and his wife John and Shiela Gordon of Solgohachia, and a niece Susan Gordon of Conway.
Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. (today) Wednesday, August 6, at Plumerville Methodist Church with the Rev. Von Dell Mooney officiating.
Arrangements are by Harris Funeral Home of Morrilton.
Nelma Watson
Nelma Sue Watson, 33, of Conway died Monday, Aug. 4, 2003.
She was born Sept. 23, 1969, in Conway to Jane Ford Banister and the late Howard Banister. She was a nurse.
Other than her mother, survivors include her husband, Daniel Watson; one sister, Lynette Ritter of Bigelow; and three half-brothers, David Banister of Blevins, Roy Banister of Blevins, and Ben Ford of Conway.
Graveside services will be 10 a.m. today (Wednesday) at Copperas Springs Cemetery in Guy. Arrangements are by Roller-McNutt Funeral Home in Conway.
Vida Seale
Vida Lavada Trigg Seale, 86, of Dover died Thursday, July 31, 2003.
She was born Dec. 16, 1916, in Atkins, a daughter of Will and Minnie Clemons Johnston. She was a Free Will Baptist.
Survivors include two sons, Jerry Trigg of Hattieville and Duane Trigg of Jerusalem; one daughter, Peggy Walters of Dover; two brothers, Ira O. Johnston and Alpha Johnston, both of Atkins; 10 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were 10 a.m. Saturday at Lemley Funeral Chapel by the Revs. Geno Johnston and Jerry Tanner. Burial was at St. Joe Cemetery by Lemley Funeral Service.
Her grandchildren served as pallbearers.
‘Gordie’ Simpson
Gordon James “Gordie” Simpson, 52, of Mabelvale stepped over into Heaven, Friday, Aug. 1, 2003.
Gordie was a nature lover who enjoyed the outdoors. A little league coach, he also enjoyed sports. A very religious man, Gordie had a very strong faith.
Survivors include father, Gordon Simpson and wife Josie; mother, Samantha Reive and husband Brian; sisters, Debbie Lee Simpson, Marti Wilson and husband Rick, Cathy Casteneda; devoted grandmother, Edna Staples; aunts, Ramona Field, Martha Crossley; special friends Regina and Brian Brooks; and a host of friends.
He was preceded in death by maternal grandparents, Barbara and Ernie Vandever, and paternal grandfather, James Staples.
A celebration of Gordie’s life was held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 5, in the chapel of Griffin Leggett-Forest Hills Funeral Home with Rev. Jim Rainwater officiating. Burial was at May Cemetery in Houston with Bob Gipson officiating.
Due to Gordie’s love of Arkansas and nature, the family is asking in lieu of flowers, memorials be made to Partners for Pinnacle Mountain, 11901 Pinnacle Valley Road, Roland, AR 72135.
Braxton Lee and Tristan Grace Winborn
Braxton Lee Winborn, our precious baby boy went to be with the Lord, July 30, 2003 and Tristan Grace Winborn, our precious baby girl went to be with the Lord, August 4, 2003.
The services will be 10 a.m. Friday, August 8, 2003 at First Baptist Church of Alma with burial at Dyer Cemetery under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home in Van Buren, Ark.
Braxton and Tristan are survived by their parents, Dr. Paul and Tiffany Winborn of Alma, Ark.; paternal grandparents, Paul and Peggy Winborn of Alma, Ark.; paternal great-grandmother, Irma Brewer of Alma, Ark.; maternal grandparents, Dr. Tommy and Sue Brown of Perryville, Ark; one uncle, Dustin Brown of Perryville, Ark.; maternal great-grandparents, C.W. and Bobbie Dean Brown and maternal great-grandfather, Floyd Gardner, all of Perryville, Ark.
Pallbearers will be Dustin Brown, Dr. Jay Stringfellow, Lance King, and Stanley Key. The family will visit with friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday evening at the funeral home.

Jessie Price
Jessie Dwight Price, age 85, of Morrilton, Arkansas, was born January 21, 1918, in Leslie, Arkansas, a son of Adolph Price and Ava Cooper Price passed away August 5, 2003.
He retired from Coleman Dairy in 1980 with loyal service for 27 years. He was a veteran in World War II; he served two years in Japan. He was a member of the Brady Masonic Lodge in Little Rock for many years. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Morrilton. He was preceded in eternal life by his wife of 66 years, Mary Louise Price.
He is survived by his son, Robert D. “Bob” Price and wife, Faye, of Houston, Arkansas; and daughter, Sherry Hillis of Morrilton; grandchildren, Robin Hutchins and husband Gene of Grapevine, Texas, Randy Price and wife Anita of Houston, Arkansas, Jamie Bean and husband Lynn of Plumerville, Tim Hillis and wife Susan of Greenbrier, Kristy Nutt and husband Fred of Bigelow; 11 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be 10 a.m. Thursday, August 7, at Pinecrest Cemetery in Little Rock, Arkansas. Arrangements are by Harris Funeral Home of Morrilton.
