Maud Maxine Montgomery Hamlett, 90, of Ada, Okla., formerly of McHue, Ark., died Feb. 7, 2009. She was born March 5, 1918, at Sandtown, Ark., the daughter of William Ellsworth and Elizabeth Tugwell Montgomery. She married Homer Hamlett on May 4, 1936. She was a retired school teacher from the Cave City School, having taught for 45 years. She was a member of the Jamestown Methodist Church.

Robert Eugene Hinders, 85, of Lakeland, Tenn., formerly of Cherokee Village, Ark., died Jan. 23, 2009. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He is survived by: his wife of 60 years, Teresa (nee Swanson); daughters, Linda (Patrick) Johnson of Woodbridge, Va., Patricia (Timothy) Morris of Rowlett, Texas; Sheila (Larry) Dick of Elizabeth, Colo.; and a son, Eugene (Eileen) Hinders of Arlington, Tenn.; 11 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Matthew B. Martin, 46, of Cave City, Ark., died Feb. 11, 2009, at the Cave City Nursing Home in Cave City, Ark. He was born Oct. 1, 1962, in Jerseyville, Ill., the son of Lawrence James Martin and Patricia Ann Davis.

Bill Baldridge, 75, of Mammoth Spring, Ark., was born Sept. 6, 1933, in Hardy, Ark., and died Feb. 8, 2009, at the White River Medical Center in Batesville, Ark. He is survived by: his wife, Maxcine, of the home; two daughters, Sheila Harvey and husband Todd of Omaha, Neb., and Sandy Cypret of Thayer, Mo.; five sons, Robert Baldridge and wife Kitten of West Plains, Mo., Bruce Baldridge and wife Brenda of Hardy, Ark., Phillip Baldridge and wife Debbie of Mammoth Spring, Jimmy Baldridge and wife Tommie of Mammoth Spring, and Gary Baldridge and wife Angela of West Plains; 15 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; three brothers, Lenard Baldridge, Elvern Baldridge, and Omer Baldridge, all of Mammoth Spring; several nieces and nephews; and numerous other relatives and friends.

Leroy Hensley was born Oct. 4, 1920, the son of Rosie Etna Pierce and Iley Fennimore Hensley. He died Feb. 11, 2009. He was the youngest of four boys, a half-brother, Orville Layman, brothers Rufus Paul Hensley and Archie Hensley. His parents and brothers have all preceded him in death.

Herbert Orville Draper, 89, of Ash Flat, Ark., died Feb. 12, 2009, at his home. He was born in Wayne City, Ill., on Aug. 25, 1919, the son of Curtis O. and Carolyn Ruth (Powell) Draper. He was married Nov. 16, 1962, to Vernita June Fenton in Mt. Vernon, Ill. He was a retired sawmill owner/operator.

Joe "Butch" Finney, 61, of Mammoth Spring, Ark., died March 12, 2009, at his home. He was born Aug. 27, 1947, at Walnut Ridge, Ark., the son of Joe Alexander and Pearl Carolyn Bandy Finney. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran having served in Vietnam. He was a brick layer, a member of the Brick Layer and Allied Craftsman of Indiana/Kentucky Local 4, and a member of the American Legion Post 336 in Hardy. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Mammoth Spring.

Richard Marchese Jr., 61, of Beebe, Ark., died March 13, 2009, at the Veterans Hospital in Little Rock, Ark. He was born May 13, 1947, in Ohio. He was the son of Ross and Bernetta Carlton Marchese. He was retired from the U.S. Army having served two tours of duty in Vietnam. He also had worked for Entergy of Arkansas. He was a lifetime member of the DAV and a member of the Union Valley Baptist Church in Beebe.

She died March 12, 2009, at Southfork River Therapy and Living Center in Salem at the age of 89. She was married to Tommy Horner in 1941 in Kissimmee, Fla. She was a homemaker and a member of the Presbyterian Church.

For many years she was owner/operator of Winnie Gay Dress Shop in Mountain Home. She was a member of the Church of Christ and attended services at West Road in Mountain Home.
