Charles "Chubby" DeLoach
Charles Nathaniel "Chubby" DeLoach, age 70, of Cherokee Village, Arkansas died Tuesday, September 18, 2012 in Jonesboro, Arkansas.
Chubby retired from Cargill Milling; he was a building inspector and code enforcement officer for the cities of Ash Flat and Cherokee Village
Chubby is survived by his wife Johnnie DeLoach of the home; sons, Darren DeLoach of Cape Girardeau, MO and Michael DeLoach of Springfield, MO; daughter, Rachael Kilmer of Springfield, MO; step son, Kelly Baker of Millington, TN; Step Daughter, Rhonda Stroud of Glencoe, AR; sisters, Lottie MacMahon, Betty Culbreath, Shirley Moore and Phyllis Henley; ten grand children and one great grand child.
He is preceded in death by his parents F W and Betty "Roberts" DeLoach and a brother Leon DeLoach.
Visitation will be from 6:00pm till 8:00pm Thursday at Ash Flat Church of Christ, Funeral service will be 10:00am Friday at the church. Interment will be in Nettleton Cemetery at 3:00pm.
Betty Raymond
Betty Katherine Raymond, 88 of Ash Flat, Arkansas died on Saturday, at Eaglecrest Nursing & Rehab in Ash Flat, Arkansas.
Born Wednesday, November 5, 1924 in Miami, Florida, she was the daughter of the late Clarence Jones and the late Ida Mae Helvey Jones.
Survived by her sons, Dan Raymond of Cherokee Village, AR and Michael Raymond of Jacksonville, FL, daughter, Mindy Raymond of Altamonte, FL, sister, Emily Bedint of Fayetteville, AR. Grandson Michael Raymond Jr. and Granddaughter Cassie Raymond.
There will be no services.
Bessie Dotson
Bessie Lois Dotson, 92 of Poughkeepsie, Arkansas died on Wednesday, August 22, 2012, at her home from a sudden stroke. Born Wednesday, January 14, 1920 in Mammoth Springs, Arkansas, she was the daughter of the late Frank Perry and the late Dona King Perry.
She was a member of Pleasant Ridge Community Church, and a home maker.
Survived by her sons, Steve Dotson and his wife Doris of Poughkeepsie, AR and Dr. Laurence Dotson and his wife Gail of Anaheim Hills, CA, daughters, Teresa Dotson Pickett and her husband Jackie of Poughkeepsie, AR and Kathryn Dotson Richmond and her husband Larry of Cherokee Village, AR, brother, Clayton Perry of Ventura, CA, sister, Snoda Corbett of Walnut Ridge, AR. 16 Grandchildren, Nancy, Cheryl, Michelle, Tonya, Tiffany, Samantha, Brenda, Nancy D, Karen, Michael, Tim, Matt, Steven, Robbie, Thomas and Jim. 13 Great Grandchildren and 1 Great Great Grandson. also many nieces, nephews and many friends and relatives. Preceded in death by her parents, Husband Glen Dotson Sr. sons Glen Jr. and Samuel Dotson, Daughter Patricia Groves. sisters Hazel Robins and Flossie Williams, Brother Clifford Perry, Grand Daughter Stephanie Burton and a Infant Great Grandson.
A Funeral service will be at 2:00 PM on Saturday at Heath Funeral Home. Interment will be in Pleasant Ridge Cemetery, Poughkeepsie, AR. with Bro. Jackie Pickett and Jim Pagan Officiating The family will receive friends from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM on Saturday, August 25, 2012, at Heath Funeral Home, Highland, Arkansas.
Orville E. Alveshire
Mr. Orville Alveshire, age 92, of Hardy, died Monday, July 27, 2008 in Ash Flat .
He is survived by his wife Helen Alveshire; Daughter Ruth Ann (Mark) Henry of Hardy; Son Bud (Marta) Alveshire of Batesville; Sisters Helen Wilkens of FL and Arline Blair of East Alton, IL; Brother Bill Alveshire of Palmyra, WI; Five Grandchildren and Eight great-grandchildren.
Funeral service will be in Heath Oak Hill Chapel at 10:00 AM Thursday, July 30, 2008 with Bro. Keith Marland officiating. Interment will follow in Baker Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM Wednesday at the funeral home.
Caren Dorthea Anderson
Caren Dorthea Anderson, age 52, of Cherokee Village, died Sunday, April 25, 2010 at her Residence.
She was the daughter of the late William Ragner Anderson and the late Florence Iren Ruth (Anderson) Anderson.
She is survived by her Son, William Anderson of Cherokee Village; Sister, Anita Zamarripa and Husband Jose of Frankfort, IA; Brothers, Ragner Anderson and wife Rosemary of Cherokee Village. and Aaron Anderson and wife Elaine of Lowell, IA.
Caren was preceded in death by her parents and a sister Florance B Hawker.
Caren was a nursing Assistant for approximately 30 years; she put her heart and soul into taking care of her patients. Caren also was an adventurous person in many ways. She loved her son and they were best friends.
She enjoyed her outdoor life, as well as her old time Rock and Roll. She will be deeply missed.
Memorial service will be at Spring River Beach in Hardy at 11:00 AM Saturday.
Nancy L. Aubry
Nancy Lee Aubry, age 67, of Cherokee Village, died Monday, March 1, 2010, at White County Medical Center in Searcy. Nancy was born March 10, 1942, in Moline, IL the daughter of the late William Aubry and Mary Lee Aubry. Nancy was an accountant and retired from Best Western Motel.
She is survived by her mother Mary Aubry of Cherokee Village and two brothers, Evan Aubry and William Aubry, Jr.
A memorial Mass will be at St. Michael's Catholic Church at 12:00 PM Thursday, March 18, 2010 with Fr. Tom Marks officiating.
Charles "Chuck" Bartlett
Charles J. Bartlett, 83, of Cherokee Village, AR died Saturday, January 2, 2010.
Charles "Chuck" Bartlett was born in Rice Lake, WI March 9, 1926, to Ruby and Harold Bartlett. He graduated from Barron High School in 1944, and went immediately into the Air Force. After his time in service he spent 2 years in college.
He married Margaret ( Marge Miller ) Bartlett, on June 16, 1951, in Medford, WI. Survivors include his wife, Marge and four children: David (Barb), Mary, (David Score); all of Boyceville, WI. Twins: Donald (Val), Duluth, MN; Daniel (Gina), Superior, WI, Also 12 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
In WI, Chuck was very active in his church, St John’s Lutheran, serving in every office. He was also active in his town of Boyceville, serving on the village board and also on the Dunn County Board. He was a volunteer fireman and the first EMT in Boyceville. When he retired he had been employed by the Eau Claire Press Co. Eau Clair, WI.
Chuck and Marge retired to Cherokee Village, AR in November, 1988. He was a member of Peace Lutheran Church and served as a trustee, elder, President twice, an LLL member and was Chairman of the building committee; men’s golf club member and also served as President. He was President of the Kiwanis Club and served as a City Alderman. He spent many hours helping to remodel the grocery store into the Cherokee Village City Hall.
A memorial service celebrating Chuck’s life will be held Saturday at 11:00am in the Peace Lutheran Church in Cherokee Village, with Pastor Brian Pummill officiating.
