Ruth Cora Sanders
Ruth Cora Sanders, 93, died Saturday, February 16, 2008 at the Fulton County Hospital in Salem .
She was born in Sitka on May 19, 1914 to Jodi and Della Higginbottom. She was married to the late Eulman (E.W.) Sanders.
Mrs. Sanders was a homemaker and was a member of the Sitka Church of Christ. She enjoyed being with family, gardening, crocheting and cooking.
Survivors include her three sons, Ralph Sanders and his wife, Margaret, of New Palestine, Indiana; Benny Sanders of Williford and Charles Sanders of Williford. She is also survived by one sister, Pauline Payne of Caraway and one brother, Marvin Higginbottom; seven grandchildren, Gary Sanders, Greg Sanders, Connie (Sanders) Moore, Clark Sanders, Jody Sanders, Ruth Ann Sanders, and Lisa (Sanders) Young, plus 15 great grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband Eulman (E.W.) Sanders, one sister Geneva Sanders, and one brother Jay Higginbottom.
Visitation will be Tuesday from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Heath Funeral Home in Highland. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. at Heath Funeral Home with Jack Richardson officiating. Interment will follow in Hopewell Cemetery near Sitka.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Paragould Children’s Home, 5515 Old Walcott Road, Paragould, AR 72450.
Stephen "Rock" Ray Gentry
Mr. Stephen Ray Gentry, age 46, of Hardy, Ark., died Thursday, April 17, 2008, at Baptist Hospital in North Little Rock, Ark. He was self employed Auto Mechanic and Served in the Marine Corps.
He was the son of the late Ray Gentry and Dorthy Gentry. Survived by his wife Mrs. Wanda (Sermons) Gentry of Hardy, Daughters Barbara Stanley and Tanya Matheson of Colorado. Sons, Jonathan Miller, Christopher Pamplin , Keith Pamplin all of Orlando, Fla.
A memorial service will be held at a later date. Arrangements by Heath Funeral Home, Oak Hill Chapel, Highland, Ark.
William W. Black
Mr. William Warren Black, age 83, of Mammoth Spring, AR, died Tuesday, February 26, 2008, at his Residence in Mammoth Spring, AR.
Mr. Black served in the Army during WWII.
He is survived by, Three Sons: Mr. Tim Black of Mammoth Spring, AR, Richard Black of Peel, AR, and Pat Black of Shrevport, LA; Thirteen grandchildren and Ninteen great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at Oaklawn Cemetery in Jonesboro, AR, at 2:00 Pm Saturday, March 1, 2008. Flowers can be sent to 1102 Vine St. Jonesboro, AR 72401.
Wilburn Allen Wortham
Mr. Wilburn Allen Wortham, age 71, of Paragould, Ark., died Friday, February 22, 2008, at his residence in Paragould, Ark.
He is survived by Four Sons: Randy Allen Wortham, Tony Dewayne Wortham, Jeffery Scott Wortham all of Paragould and Doug Wortham of Cherokee Village; Two Daughters: Donna Sue Howard and Tabatha Sweeney both of Paragould. He is also survived by Two Brothers: Edward Wortham of Paragould and Ewell Wortham of Murray, KY; Several Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held Sunday, February 24, 2008 at Woodland Heights Cemetery in Rector.
Thurman R. Burman
Thurman Rosevelt Burman, 73, of Paragould, Ark., died June 20, 2008, at Arkansas Methodist Hospital in Paragould, Ark. He was retired from General Motors. He and his wife owned Burman Jewelry Store in Hardy for many years. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.
He is survived by: his wife, Suk Yull Burman; a daughter, Tammy Burman of Paragould; and sons, Carl Burman of Michigan, Jim Burman of California and Gary Burman of Florida.
No services are scheduled at this time.
Martha Oakley
Mrs. Martha Oakley, age 88, died Tuesday, April 22, 2008, at Eaglecrest Nursing & Rehab in Ash Flat, Ark.
She is survived by: one Daughter, Martha Dinwiddie of Glendora, CA; and two sons, Richard Oakley of Barstow, CA, and Sam Oakley of Hardy, AR.
A memorial service will be held in Heath Oak Hill Chapel at 1:00 PM Saturday, April 26, 2008, with Rev. Dwight Fuller officiating.

Miles M. Clark
Miles Melvin Clark, born on April 25, 1922, died May 27, 2008 at his home in Cherokee Village, donating his body to research. He was 86.
Miles was a WWII veteran and a retired finish carpenter, he was a member of the Ash Flat Church of Christ.
He is survived by his dear wife Doris.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 28, 2008 at 2:00PM at the Ash Flat Church of Christ.

Norma E. Hall
Mrs. Norma E Hall, age 80, of Ash Flat, Ark., died Thursday, February 14, 2008.
Norma was born in Equality IL to the late Allie and Thelma (Mondy) Cummins.
Norma worked as an insurance underwriter, and was a member of Beta Sigma Phi.
She is survived by her husband Linsey "Popo" Hall of Hardy; Two Daughters: Janice McPeak and Nancy Wedemeyer both of St Charles, IL; Four grandchildren and One great-grandchild.
Funeral service will be at Heath Oak Hill Chapel at 1:00 AM Saturday, February 16, 2008 with Floyd Rikard and Johnny Carter officiating.
Interment will follow in the Hardy Cemetery.
