Ron Wilder
Ron E. Wilder, 57, of Batesville died Sunday, Feb. 1, 2009, in a Batesville hospital.
Born July 21, 1951, in Fort Smith, he was the son of Nathaniel Franklin Wilder Sr. and Thelma Ladd Wilder. He was a senior project engineer for ConAgra Foods in Batesville and was co-founder and owner of Demented Toyz Custom Cars of Batesville. He was a member of West Baptist Church in Batesville.

Mark Barber
BALD KNOB - Mark Alan Barber, 49, of Bald Knob died Sunday, Feb. 1, 2009, in Little Rock.
Born Oct. 14, 1959, he was the son of Charles and Ella Finley Barber. He served in the U.S. Army and was stationed in Germany. He was a retired carpenter. He enjoyed woodworking, bird watching, the outdoors and camping.

Robert Norris
ASH FLAT - Robert Lee Norris, 63, of Ash Flat died Friday, Jan. 30, 2009, at his home.
He was the son of Elmer and Kathryn Perry Norris. He served in the U.S. Army. He worked as a welder in the oil fields and was an avid amateur radio operator and did wood carving.

Richard Bond
CONCORD - Richard Allen Bond, 83, of Concord died Saturday, Jan. 31, 2009, in Batesville.
Born Aug. 30, 1925, in Liberty, N.Y., he was the son of Richard H. and Verna Brush Bond. He was retired from the U.S. Navy. He had been a resident of Arkansas for most of his life. He enjoyed being outdoors, fishing and traveling.

Stella Qualls
ASH FLAT - Stella Lue Qualls, 93, of Ash Flat, formerly of Evening Shade, died Sunday, Feb. 1, 2009, in an Ash Flat nursing home.
Born Aug. 3, 1915, at Cave City, she was the daughter of Calvin and Mattie Marlin Matlock. She was a homemaker and enjoyed playing Bingo, sewing, raising a garden and chickens, shopping at Walmart and visiting. She was a member of Piney Fork Church of Christ.

Maxine Chambers
Maxine Vickery Chambers, 87, of Batesville died Thursday, Jan. 29, 2009, in a Batesville hospital.
Born Jan. 3, 1922, in Cushman, she was the daughter of George and Frances Tarwater Vickery. She was a Navy wife and lived in Hawaii and the Far East. She worked in a defense plant during World War II. She graduated from Hartnell College in Salinas, Calif., and worked with disabled children. She retired with her husband to Batesville in 1977.

Glenna Arnold
LAFAYETTE, Ind. - Glenna Faye Arnold, 79, of Lafayette, Ind., died Saturday, Jan. 31, 2009, in a Lafayette hospital.
Born Jan. 4, 1930, in Salem, she was the daughter of Homer Otto and Edna Mae Kent Lassiter. She married Leroy Arnold on Dec. 22, 1954, in Williamsport, Ind. She was a surgical technician and retired from St. Elizabeth in 1990. She enjoyed reading, sewing and visiting.

Montine Campbell
LITTLE ROCK - Montine Lenehan Campbell, 87, of Little Rock died Saturday, Jan. 31, 2009.
Born Jan. 8, 1922, in Batesville, she was the daughter of John P. and Maude Lenehan. She was a member of Our Lady of the Holy Souls Catholic Church.

Louise Prince
GRUBBS - Margaret Louise Prince, 77, of Grubbs died Saturday, Jan. 31, 2009.
The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Dillinger Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in Clark Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 6 to 9 tonight.

Oliver Seat
DESHA - Oliver Seat, 79, of Desha died Friday, Jan. 30, 2009, in a Batesville hospital.
Born March 9, 1929, in Blytheville, he was the son of Samuel David and Amelia Ann Swarner Seat. He was raised in Nelsonville. He was a machinist and worked for many years for Cessna, Boeing, Memorex and Aerojet. He was the owner of Strout Realty in Batesville until his retirement in 1979.

Stella Qualls
ASH FLAT - Stella Qualls, 93, died Sunday, Feb. 1, 2009, in an Ash Flat nursing home.
Arrangements will be announced by Roller-Crouch-McGee Funeral Home of Cave City.

Irene Johnson
CONCORD - Irene Jane Johnson, 72, of Concord died Friday, Jan. 30, 2009, in a Searcy hospital.
Born Oct. 6, 1936, in Lewistown, Mont., she was the daughter of George Edward Fairbairn and Beulah Belle Tillett Fairbairn. She was a homemaker and a member of the Church of Christ. She enjoyed listening to gospel music, working with her flowers, sewing, cooking, especially for the holidays, and making M&M cookies, her family's favorite.

Patricia Funk
BEEDEVILLE - Patricia Ann Funk, 53, of Beedeville died Thursday, Jan. 29, 2009, in a Newport hospital.
Born Dec. 30, 1955, in Texarkana, she was the daughter of Jewell Thomas Haney and Stella Marie Varnell Haney. She was a homemaker and was of the Baptist faith.

Mae Clark
Mae Nell Clark, 82, of Batesville died Saturday, Jan. 31, 2009, in Batesville.
Born Jan. 19, 1927, in Rosie, she was the daughter of Monroe and Lillian Inman Hargrove. She worked for Arkansas Poultry and Batesville Manufacturing and was a homemaker. She was of the Baptist faith.

Martha Carl
Martha Lucille Carl, 84, of Batesville died Saturday, Jan. 31, 2009.
Born April 16, 1924, in Amity, she was the daughter of Vernon and Lillie Burchfield Slaughter. She was retired from Memcor Industries in Huntington, Ind., and was a homemaker. She was of the Pentecostal faith.

Mary Shields
NEWARK - Mary Crow Shields, 94, of Newark died Sunday, Feb. 1, 2009, in a Batesville nursing home.
Born Feb. 3, 1914, in Magness, she was the daughter of Willie Kennerly Crow and Maude Montith Edgar Crow. She was a homemaker and a member of First Presbyterian Church and United Daughters of the Confederacy.

Ron Wilder, 57, of Batesville died Sunday, Feb. 1, 2009, in a Batesville hospital.
Arrangements will be announced by Qualls Batesville Funeral Service.

Mary Ruth Bryant
Mary Ruth Bryant, 61, of Batesville died Thursday, Jan. 29, 2009, at her home.
Born Feb. 2, 1947, in Mount Pleasant, she was the daughter of John and Mary Church McSpadden. She was a certified nurses aide for Rolling Hills Nursing Center.

Elbie Johnson
BROCKWELL - Elbie Estes Johnson, 81, of Brockwell died Tuesday, Jan. 27, 2009.
Arrangements will be announced by Roller-Crouch Funeral Home of Melbourne.

Gregory Sutherland
MANDEVILLE, La. - Gregory Brent Sutherland, 37, of Mandeville, La., formerly of Wolf Bayou, died Monday, Jan. 26, 2009, at his home.
Born Nov. 4, 1971, in Batesville, he was the son of Garry and Brenda Babb Sutherland. He graduated from Concord High School in 1990. He was a U.S. Army National Guard veteran and was a heavy equipment operator.

Joe Frey
BROCKWELL - Joe Frey, 48, of Brockwell died Tuesday, Jan. 27, 2009, in Batesville.
A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Roman and Billy Howard Memorial Chapel in Melbourne with Bruce Johnson officiating.

Irene Johnson
CONCORD - Irene Johnson, 72, of Concord died today, Jan. 30, 2009.
Arrangements will be announced by Roller-Crouch Funeral Home of Batesville.

Cledas Manuel
NEWPORT - Cledas Manuel, 72, of Newport died Wednesday, Jan. 28, 2009, in a Little Rock hospital.
He was previously employed as a farm manager at Emerson-Connor and was employed at McDonald Equipment Company. He retired from Arkansas State University at Newport after 21 years as a diesel mechanics instructor. He was a member of Holden Avenue Church of Christ.

Dovie Lawson
SULPHUR ROCK - Dovie Anna Lawson, 83, of Sulphur Rock died Monday, Jan. 26, 2009, in a Batesville hospital.
Born Feb. 13, 1925, in George Town, she was the daughter of Columbus M. and Clara Jane Fielder Misenheimer.

Maxine Chambers
Maxine Chambers, 87, of Batesville died Thursday, Jan. 29, 2009, in a Batesville hospital.
Arrangements will be announced by Qualls Batesville Funeral Service.

Wilma Barber
Wilma E. McClure Barber, 92, of Batesville died Wednesday, Jan. 28, 2009, at a Batesville hospital.
Born May 12, 1916, in Newark, she was the daughter of Jack Edwards and Allie Elizabeth Wilson Edwards. She was a homemaker and worked as a sales clerk for 35 years in Newark, Newport and Batesville. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Batesville and enjoyed watching television, working crossword puzzles, visiting and talking to people, doing yard work and working with her flowers.

Kefton Jarrett Jr.
Kefton Jarrett Jr., 81, of Batesville died Wednesday, Jan. 28, 2009, in Batesville.
Born March 8, 1927, in Hickory Flat, Miss., he was the son of Kefton and Evie Jarrett. He served in the United States Army, retired from Caterpillar Tractor Company where he worked for 35 years and was a member of the Jubilee Family Church in Batesville.

Delavina McGaha
Delavina "Tootsie" McGaha, 88, of Batesville died Monday, Jan. 26, 2009, in a Batesville hospital.
Arrangements will be announced by Willis Funeral Service of Batesville.

Tamsey Hines
MELBOURNE - Tamsey Loretta Holder Hines, 74, of Melbourne died Friday, March 11, 2011, at her home.
Born Feb. 20, 1937, in Wauchula, Fla., she was the daughter of Jake and Olyer Lee Billie Roberson Holder. She was united in marriage to Robert E. Hines on April 17, 1984, in Florida. She was a homemaker and was of the Christian faith.

Vivienne Fernbacher
ASH FLAT - Vivienne Nicoletti Fernbacher, 91, of Ash Flat died Sunday, March 13, 2011, in a Salem hospital.
Survivors include a son, Dan Fernbacher of Cherokee Village; and a sister, Ann Blind of St. Louis.
There will be a private burial at a later date. Arrangements are by Heath Funeral Home Oak Hill Chapel of Highland.

Linda Clark
NEWPORT - Linda Sue Holder Clark, 65, of Newport died Sunday, March 13, 2011, in Newport.
Born Aug. 14, 1945, at Swifton, she was the daughter of Bart and Juanita Reed Holder. She was a homemaker and enjoyed fishing, dancing, listening to music and reading the Bible. She was of the Baptist belief.
Survivors include a son, Jerry Dewayne Clark; a daughter, Stella Cottingham of Newport; a brother, Bobby Holder of Minturn; two grandchildren, Lindsey Cottingham Anderson and Matthew Cottingham, both of Newport; and two great-grandchildren, Ava Anderson and Caiden Anderson.

Marie Satterfield
CHEROKEE VILLAGE - Marie Satterfield, 63, of Cherokee Village died Friday, March 11, 2011, in a Jonesboro hospital.
Survivors include a son, Robert Satterfield of Milford, Conn.; a brother, Douglas Rieselman of Manhattan, N.Y.; and two sisters, Frances Trudell of Cherokee Village and Carol Hamilton of New York.
A memorial Mass will be at 9 a.m. Friday at St. Michael s Catholic Church with the Rev. Tom Marks officiating. Arrangements are by Heath Funeral Home of Highland.

Jerry Stobaugh
Jerry D. Stobaugh, 68, of Batesville died Friday, March 11, 2011, in a Springfield, Mo., hospital.
Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Fellowship Bible Church in Batesville with John Mark Rutter officiating. Arrangements are by Qualls Batesville Funeral Service.
No visitation is planned.
Memorials may be made to Network of Community Options Inc., 710 South St. Louis St., Batesville, AR 72501.

Hoyd Thompson
WEST MEMPHIS - H.W. Hoyd Thompson, 89, of West Memphis died Thursday, March 10, 2011, in a West Memphis hospital.
He was a veteran of World War II, having served in the South Pacific with the 105th Seabees. He was a retired crane operator. He was a member of Cornerstone Baptist Church in West Memphis.
