Mervyn James Lynch

Mervyn James Lynch, age 84, died Saturday, August 8, 2020 at his home surrounded by family. He was born on Monday, December 9, 1935 to Mervyn Edward and Helen Jarrett Lynch in San Francisco, California.
Mervyn was a good Christian man who served proudly in the United States Air Force. He worked as a security officer for many years at various factories and the airport. Mervyn was a man of responsibility and work ethic, and never failed to take care of his family. His family was incredibly important to him. Mervyn was a loving husband and father, and will be missed by all who knew him.
He is preceded in death by his parents.
Mervyn is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Joy Lynch of Mena; and one son and daughter in law, James and Mary Lynch of Mena.
No services are planned at this time. Cremation arrangements entrusted to Bowser Family Funeral Home in Mena, Arkansas.
Timothy Scott Barfield
September 2, 1970 - September 23, 2020
Timothy Scott Barfield, born September 2, 1970 in Orlando, FL, went home to his Heavenly Father on September 23, 2020 in Mena, AR. The adored and beloved husband of Sheryl (Dickerson) and father of Wyatt and Katherine, he fought a long, courageous battle against brain cancer. He was a highly skilled commercial flooring installer until an injury disabled him. In 2010, he became an expert stay at home dad to his precious twins. He was the proudest father, fully engaged and passionate about raising Godly children.
A Florida boy, his youth was spent fishing in the Florida waterways with a pole in his hand. In 2011 he moved his young family to Mena, AR. In this uniquely loving and beautiful town, he planted Florida roots to flourish in the Arkansas soil. Diagnosed with brain cancer in early 2019, his family temporarily relocated to Orlando for treatment at UF Cancer Treatment Center. The Lord then opened doors to bring him back to his home in Mena that he loved so much. He spent 3 joyous months back in Mena before spending 6 weeks in hospital. The Lord blessed his family with Hospice angels long enough to bring him back to his family to laugh, love and pray together. With his adoring wife by his side, he peacefully journeyed home to heaven.
He is celebrating a beautiful reunion in Heaven with his parents, Corbit and Lucille.
Tim is survived by his wife Sheryl and twins Wyatt and Katherine. He is also survived by his loving siblings, Michael (Angela), Cindy Pettis, Kenneth (Carol), sisters in law Candy (Dickerson) Cannon (Tom), Ali McDonald, and Traci (Dickerson) Mayer. He is also survived by a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and loyal friends. He is also survived by Gordy and Cindy Brevik, family members who were very special to him.
A celebration of life is being planned; information will be available soon. Arrangements are entrusted to Bowser Family Funeral Home in Mena.
Jesse B. Sullivan I am a Veteran.

Jesse B. Sullivan, age 69, of Wickes, Arkansas died Sunday, April 20, 2014 at his home after a long battle with cancer. He was born on Friday, April 13, 1945 to James Harrison and Eunice Ethel Cook Sullivan in the Baker Community.
Jesse graduated from Rapid City High in South Dakota and then attended Southern Arkansas University. Jesse was drafted into the United States Army and served in Vietnam, where he received a Bronze Star Metal and Air Medal for meritorious Achievement in serving his country. He worked at the Union Bank of Mena for 32 years, served as Manager of the Wickes Branch and retired as Senior Vice President at the Main Branch. Jesse served his community by being involved on numerous boards including 27 years on the Southwest Arkansas Electric Cooperative Board and numerous years as President of the Wickes School Board. Jesse attended the Wickes Nazarene Church and was a lifelong cowboy and rancher. Jesse was a loving husband, father, grandfather, uncle, nephew and friend, and will be missed by all who knew him.
Jesse is preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include his wife of 46 years, Dorothy Autrey Sullivan, of Wickes; two sons, Jason Brian Sullivan and wife, Teddi of Mena and Jesse Eric Sullivan of Tyler, Texas; three brothers and sisters in law, Harley Sullivan of Mena, Marion and Mary Ann Sullivan of Branson, Missouri and Billy and Sandy Sullivan of Wickes; one sister, Yvonne Cohn and her late husband, Bill Cohn of Glenham, South Dakota; two grandchildren, Jackson Brian Sullivan and Sarah Emily Sullivan both of Mena; a brother and sister in law, Dwayne Autrey and wife Tammy of Buffalo, Missouri and Debbie Autrey of De Queen; extended family, the late Rick Kveum and wife, Angie, Kathy Goode and husband, John, Kitty Kveum and Janet Kveum, the late Janice Kveum, the late Irene Bogart, Thomas and Sheri James, DeLynn Hale and husband, Gerald, and Suellen Sullivan; several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be Saturday, April 26, 2014 at the Holbert Auditorium at the Wickes Campus at 2:00 P.M. with Pastor John Heide, Leon McCleskey, Jon Newlin and Pastor Billy Sullivan officiating. Interment will follow in the Baker Cemetery in Wickes under the direction of Bowser Family Funeral Home in Mena. Visitation will be Friday, April 25, 2014 from 6-8 P.M. at the Bowser Family Funeral Home Chapel.
Pallbearers will be David Maddox, John Montgomery, Larry Dunaway, John McLaughlin, John Hill and John Roberts. Honorary Pallbearers will be Phillip Hensley, Ed Stevenson, Don Stemple, Lyndall Martin, Mike Salem, Dale White and Sherman Price.

Harold David Cabe I am a Veteran.

Harold David Cabe, age 76, of Mena, died Friday, May 9, 2014 at his home. He was born Tuesday, May 11, 1937 to Floyd and Velma Denny Cabe in Los Angeles, California.
Harold enjoyed watching sports and especially football and also enjoyed listening to 50’s music. For 12 years, Harold owned and operated Mena Video on Cherry Street in Mena. Harold was a loving husband, father and he was greatly loved and will be missed by all.
He is preceded in death by his parents; two sons, David Michael Cabe and Michael William Cabe; two brothers, Leroy Cabe and Carl Cabe.
Harold is survived by his wife, Sandra Cabe of the home; several nieces and nephews, and a host of other relatives and friends.
A memorial service will be held Sunday, May 18, 2014 at 12:30 P.M. at Dallas Valley Cemetery. Cremation services are entrusted to Bowser Family Funeral Home Chapel in Mena.

Charles Elliott Dixon, age 81 of Cove, died Saturday, November 22, 2014 at his home. He was born on Sunday, May 14, 1933 to Thomas Edgar and Clara Annis Elliott Dixon in West Jefferson, North Carolina.
Charles served his country in the United State Army and was Honorably Discharged. After serving he came home and began a life with his wife and four sons in whom he was very proud of. He worked very hard as a carpenter. He was very good in construction and all areas from masonry to finish work. Charles like to coon hunt, fight chickens, train horses and cowboy. Charles was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
He is preceded in death by his parents.
Charles is survived by his wife, Shirley Dixon of Cove; four sons and daughters in law, Tim and Rosemary Dixon of Cove, Brian and Heidi Dixon of Cove, Trac and Teresa Dixon of Wickes and John and Kellie Dixon of Cove; eleven grandchildren, Ashley, Travis, Justin, Braden, Melanie, Cassidy, Logan, Madalyn, Matthew, Kelly and Asa Dixon; several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
A graveside service will be held Monday, November 24, 2014 at 10:00 A.M. at the pleasant Grove Cemetery in Cove with Pastor Riley Christensen officiating. No visitation is planned.

Lisa Dawn Taylor
April 8, 1974 - October 15, 2020
Lisa Dawn Taylor, age 46, of Boles, Arkansas passed away on Thursday, October 15, 2020 at her home in Boles. She was born on Monday, April 8, 1974 to Samuel Thomas Taylor and Dianna Lee Fiedler Taylor Kulp in Amery, Wisconsin.
Lisa loved her animals and had dogs, cats, chickens and goats. She also loved her job at the Rich Mountain Nursing and Rehab in Mena where she prepared all the meals for the residence there for 16 years. She loved knitting, cross stitching and crocheting. Lisa also received her Associates Degree from Rogue Community College in Grants Pass, Oregon. Lisa was a loving daughter, sister, aunt and friend and will be missed by all who knew her.
She is preceded in death by her father.
Lisa is survived by her mother and step father, Ben and Dianna Kulp of Boles; her brother, John Taylor of Portland, Oregon; three sisters, Corrol Havens of Honolulu, Hawaii, Denise Ceresco of Houston, Texas and Heather Weber of Denver, Colorado; three nieces and three nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
A memorial service will be held Thursday, November 12, 2020 at 2:00 P.M. at the First Baptist Church in Mena with Brother Russell Threet officiating. Cremation arrangements are entrusted to Bowser Family Funeral Home in Mena.
