Debra "Debbie" Kay Bass
May 28, 1956 - November 22, 2014

Debra “Debbie” Kay Bass, age 58, of Posey Hollow, died Saturday, November 22, 2014 at her home. She was born on Monday, May 28, 1956 to Dale Denver and Dorothy Elfreda Strother Wilhite in Crescent City, California.

Debbie was a true believer and a child of God; her faith was strong and it never faltered once. She was a member of the Union Grove Church for over 35 years where she taught Sunday school, was the church secretary and treasurer for many years. Everyone enjoyed Sunday socials when Debbie would bring her big pot of Pinto Beans. Debbie loved her family and was proud of her children and grandchildren. She enjoyed going to yard sales, gardening, canning, working in her flower beds and her animals. Debbie was a loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother, aunt and friend and will be missed by all who knew her.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her father in law, Roy Bass Jr. and her sister, Laura Wilhite.

Survivors include her husband of 40 years, J.B. Bass of Posey Hollow; her mother in law, Eula Mae Bass of Parks; three sons and daughters in law, Benji and Kim Bass of Mena, Tim Bass of Posey Hollow and Josh and Jeannie Bass of Posey Hollow; three brothers and sisters in law, Larry Wilhite of Acorn, Dennis and Paula Wilhite of Mena and Tony and Nancy Wilhite of Acorn; one sister and brother in law Connie and Steve Bass of Acorn; four grandchildren, J.J. Bass and Miya Bass of Posey Hollow, Brendon Catlett and Landri Bass of Mena; several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.

Graveside services will be Tuesday, November 25, 2014 at 10:00 A.M. at the Rock Springs Cemetery at Posey Hollow with Brother Leroy Bass officiating. No visitation is planned with arrangements entrusted to Bowser Family Funeral Home in Mena.

Pallbearers will be Steve Bass, Mike Buffington, Isaac Bass, Aaron Meredith, Allen Brumbelow and Maurice Roshto.

Billy Dean Hanley
September 20, 1988 - October 28, 2014

Billy Dean Hanley, age 26 of Cove, died Tuesday, October 28, 2014 at the Mena Regional Health System. He was born on Tuesday, September 20, 1988 to Zeak Edward Hanley and Carol Ann Hawks in Blytheville, Arkansas.

Billy enjoyed living life to the fullest and spending as much time with his family as he could. Above all they were his life. Billy enjoyed going hunting and was looking forward to taking his children this fall. He worked for Smith Pallet in Hatfield. Billy was a loving husband, father, son, brother and friend and will be missed by all who knew him.

Survivors include his wife, Debbie Hanley of Cove; his father and stepmom, Zeak and Lisa Hanley of Blytheville, Arkansas; mother and stepfather Carol and Wesley Collins of Blytheville, Arkansas; one stepson, Matthew Navaro of Cove; one daughter, Sierra Ainsworth of Cove; two brothers, Garrett Hanley of Blytheville, Arkansas and Billy Parnell of Evansville, Indiana; two sisters, Jennifer Stone and husband, Robbie of Gosnell, Arkansas and Courtney Parnell of Blytheville, Arkansas; several aunts, uncle nieces and nephews and a host of other relative and friends.

A memorial service will be Saturday, November 1, 2014 at 2:00 P.M. at the Bowser Family Funeral Home Chapel in Mena.

James Lavoy Wigley
March 2, 1934 - May 24, 2015

James Lavoy Wigley, age 81, of Cove, died Sunday, May 24, 2015 at the Sparks Hospital in Fort Smith. He was born on Friday, March 2, 1934 to Walter Lee and Nancy Lou Etta Kitchens Wigley in Waltrek, Arkansas.

James was a man of honesty and integrity, always trying to live his life by the Golden Rule. He loved his family and was proud of each and every one of them. He enjoyed the outdoors by working in his garden and on his farm. He worked my years as a supervisor for Weyerhaeuser and Georgia Pacific for many years setting up their mills. James was a loving husband, father, brother, grandfather and friend and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

He is preceded in death by his parents; four brothers, Arlie Wigley, Virgil Wigley Raymond Wigley and Herbert Wigley and one sister, Myrtle Woodard.

James is survived by his wife of 63 years, Marie Wigley of Cove; three sons and daughters in laws, Ralph and Kay Wigley of Jacksonville, Arkansas, Richard and Vickie Wigley of Cove and Doug and Kathy Wigley of Cove; his daughter and son in law, Kathy and Don Parker of DeQueen; one sister, Marie Hudson of Waldron; thirteen grandchildren; twenty six great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be Friday, May 29, 2015 at 2:00 P.M. at the Bowser Family Funeral Home Chapel in Mena with Brother Tim Johnson officiating. Interment will follow in the Pleasant Grove Cemetery in Cove. Visitation will be Thursday, May 28, 2015 from 6-8 P.M. at the Bowser Family Funeral Home Chapel in Mena.

Arlin Stafford - I am a Veteran.
December 13, 1933 - May 25, 2015

Arlin Stafford, age 81, of Mena, died Monday, May 25, 2015 at the Mena Regional Health System in Mena. He was born on December 13, 1933 to Joseph and Zalla Catlett Stafford in Parks, Arkansas.

Arlin served in the United States Navy during the Korean Conflict for 3 years. After the military he played minor league baseball for the Salt Lake Trappers as their pitcher and 3rd baseman. He worked as a business owner for 30 years as a gas station owner in California and Washington. He retired from the Washington State Department of Transportation. He also enjoyed fishing and bowling. Arlin was a loving father, brother, grandfather and friend and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

He is preceded in death by his parents and his wife Marvell Stafford.

Arlin is survived by his son and daughters in law, Tim and Patricia Stafford of Harvest Alabama; two sisters, Mary Lou Walters of Waldron and Joann Powell of Yakima, Washington; two grandchildren, Adam Stafford of Fort Benning, Columbus, Georgia and Emily Stafford of Harvest , Alabama; several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.

No services are planned at this time with cremation services are entrusted to Bowser Family Funeral Home in Mena.

Gilbert Aloysius Roles I am a Veteran.
August 5, 1960 - October 18, 2014

Gilbert Aloysius Roles, age 54 of Mena, died Saturday, October 18, 2014 at his home. He was born on August 5, 1960 to Charles Edward and Eleanor Olive Lemontagne Roles in Cresson, Pennsylvania.

Gilbert was a very hard working, ethical person that worked many years as a plumber owning his own business. Gilbert also served his county in the United States Air Force. Gilbert was a loving father, brother and friend and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

He is preceded in death by his parents; one brother, John Beck and one sister, Ruth Hammond.

Gilbert is survived by his son, Chuck Roles of Morrilton, Arkansas; his daughter, Erica Roles of Dierks; two brothers, Joseph L. Beck of El Paso, Texas and Edgar A. Beck of El Paso, Texas; special friend, Jody Herron of Mena; several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.

A burial will be held Saturday, October 25, 2014 at 2:00 P.M. at the Mount Calvary Cemetery in Mena under the direction of Bowser Family Funeral Home in Mena.

William Earl Graham Jr.
September 10, 1929 - November 16, 2014

William Earl Graham Jr., age 85 of Mena, died Sunday, November 16, 2014 at the Mena Regional Health System. He was born on Tuesday, September 10, 1929 to William Earl Sr. and Pansy Mason Graham in Lancaster, Ohio.

William drove a semi truck for several years, owned a CB sales shop and was a Class A maintenance man for Essex Wire Company in Ohio, later becoming Union president. He moved to Hope, Arkansas and retired from the Hope Police Department in 1994, then moved and settled in Mena with his family in 1998. William enjoyed fishing and collecting die cast cars. William was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

He is preceded in death by his parents; one brother and three sisters.

William is survived by his wife, Jane Graham of Mena; four sons and daughters in law, Patrick and JoAnn Graham of Jonesboro, Arkansas, Michael and Jennifer Graham of Columbus, Arkansas, Marc and Tiffany Graham of Corpus Christi, Texas and Christopher and Serina Golden of Denver, Colorado; three daughters and sons in law, Kathy and Rick Holmberg of Texas, Billie and Rodney Johnson of Hot Springs and Alexia; twenty three grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.

No services are planned at this time with arrangements entrusted to Bowser Family Funeral Home in Mena.
