Mark Cobry Campbell - I am a Veteran.
November 11, 1944 - April 23, 2015

Mark Cobry Campbell, age 70 of Mena, died Thursday, April 23, 2015 at the Christus Dubuis Hospital in Hot Springs. He was born on Saturday, November 11, 1944 to Robert J. and Doris Blanche Shephard Campbell in Warsaw, New York.

Mark said one time, “PRIDE, that’s what this country needs… that’s what built America.” He showed his pride of country enlisting in the United States National Guard during the Vietnam Era and was honorably discharged. He also took great pride and love in his family; he worked very hard to provide for them and meet there every need. In 1984, Mark turned a hobby of Street Rods into a passion over the last 30 years with the company he and his family owns and operate to this day, Street & Performance Inc., in Mena, Arkansas. Mark was also known for his drawing artwork and his leatherworking. Mark was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

He is preceded in death by his parents.

Mark is survived by his wife of 29 years, Lisa Campbell of Mena; two sons and daughters in law, Mark Damon and Michelle Campbell in Yocana and Cobry John and Jenna Campbell of Cove; two daughters and son in law, Tammy and Danny Deramus of Mena and Terah Stricklin of Mena; two brothers, Charles Campbell of Mena and Arlyn Campbell of Red Oak, Texas; his mother in law, Fay Craig of Hatfield; brother in law, Kevin Craig and wife, Mary of Lancaster, New Hampshire; five grandchildren, Jeremy and Jordan Deramus of Conway, Cooper Hughes of Mena, Carleigh Smart of Mena and Lynus Campbell of Cove; one great-grandchild, Lane McDaniel of Conway; several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.

A Funeral Mass will be Monday, April 27, 2015 at the St. Agnes Catholic Church at 2:00 P.M. with Father Joshua Stengel as Celebrant. Interment will follow in the Old Dallas Cemetery under the direction of Bowser Family Funeral Home in Mena. Visitation will be Sunday, April 26, 2015 from 6-8 P.M. with a Rosary Service at 7:00 P.M. at the Bowser Family Funeral Home Chapel in Mena.

Pallbearers will be Richard Campbell, David Campbell, Bernard Campbell, Kevin Campbell, Kyle Campbell, Zach Campbell, Jason Hogan and James Armer.

William Charles Rowton - I am a Veteran.
December 31, 1930 - May 4, 2015

William Charles Rowton, age 84 of Mena, died Monday, May 4, 2015 at the Rich Mountain Nursing and Rehab in Mena. He was born on Wednesday, December 31, 1930 to William Chess and Clara Virginia Key Rowton in Marianna, Arkansas.

William served his country for over 20 years in the United States Navy and reenlisted into the Fleet Reserves. After the service, William started his second career as a cross country truck driver. He retired from Data Matique in Garland, Texas. He enjoyed going fishing after his retirements. William had a great sense of humor and always tried to get the best out of a person. William was a loving, husband, father, grandfather and friend and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

He is preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Patricia Rowton.

William is survived by his three sons, Harold Cameron of New York City, New York, Fred Rowton of Dublin, California and Larry Rowton of Carthage, Texas; four grandchildren, Angela Rowton, Charles Rowton, Hunter Rowton and Cullen Rowton; five great grandchildren; beloved cousins, Ann and Shorty Garvin of Mena; several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.

A graveside service will be held Wednesday, May 6, 2015 at 2:00 P.M. at the Concord Cemetery in Ink with Brother Jimmy Lynn Mabry officiating. Arrangements are entrusted to Bowser Family Funeral Home Chapel in Mena.

Kennith Hooper Sr.
July 12, 1937 - May 8, 2015

Kennith Hooper Sr., age 77, of Mena, died Friday, May 8, 2015 at home in Mena. He was born on Monday, July 12, 1937 to Willie Wayne and Eliza Lott Hooper in Ink, Arkansas.

Kennith was an avid outdoorsman and that was the reason he loved his career as a Wildlife Officer in Polk County for almost 18 years. He also enjoyed gardening and working in his yard. Kennith was a loving husband, father, brother, grandfather and friend and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

He is preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Raymond Hooper and James Hooper.

Kennith is survived by his wife, Margaret Hooper of Mena; two sons, and daughters in law, John and Cathy Hooper of Greer, South Carolina and Kennith Jr. and Rhonda Hooper of Tulsa, Oklahoma; two step sons and wives, Steve and Pam Hickerson and Scott and Angela Hickerson all of Texarkana, Arkansas; two step daughters, Kathie Stone of Conway and Paula Crouch of Mena; his late wife’s granddaughter, Crystal Jones of Fort Smith, that he raised as his own; two brothers and sisters in law, Willard and Reba Hooper of Yocana and Harold and Norma Hooper of Benton; four grandchildren, Otis and Joann Hooper of Tulsa, Kennith and Burnadette Hooper of Tulsa, Scott Hooper of Cleveland, Ohio and Jennifer and Darrell Sams of Greer, South Carolina; seven great- grandchildren; five step grandchildren; four step great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.

A celebration of life will be held Tuesday, May 12, 2015 at 6:00 P.M. at the Bowser Family Funeral Home Chapel in Mena. Cremation services are entrusted to Bowser Family Funeral Home in Mena.

Howard Martin Reiss
June 12, 1925 - May 14, 2015

Howard Martin Reiss, 89, of Mena, AR, formerly of Hellertown, died Thursday, May 14, 2015 at CHI St. Vincent Healthcare, Hot Springs, AR. He is the husband of Arlene M. (Griffith) Reiss. He was born in Hellertown on June 12, 1925 to the late Howard William and Anna Amelia (Schaffer) Reiss. Howard worked as a car repairman for 27 years for the PB≠ Railroad at the former Bethlehem Steel until retiring in 1986. He is a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Mena, AR.

SURVIVORS
In addition to his loving wife of 64 years; children: Kathy M. Rook of Mena, AR, Carl Howard Reiss of Gilmer, TX; several brothers and sisters; 5 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren. Predeceased by several siblings.

SERVICE
Private services at the Heintzelman Funeral Home, Inc. 326 Main Street – Hellertown followed by the interment at Union Cemetery of Hellertown. Online expressions of sympathy can be recorded at: www.heintzelmancares.com.

Oleava Jean Johnson I am a Veteran.
March 14, 1941 - May 18, 2015

Oleava Jean Johnson, age 74, of Mena, died Monday, May 18, 2015 at the Mena Regional Health System. She was born on Friday, March 14, 1941 to Joseph Presley and Edythe Mae Crouch Johnson in Mena, Arkansas.

Oleava was a loving mother, sister, grandmother, aunt and friend and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

She is preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Puddin Gortemiller.

Oleava is survived by her two sons, Bobby Cant of Memphis, Tennessee and Eddie Cant of Mena; one daughter, Diedre Webb of Dallas, Georgia; one sister, Joe Ann Ward of Conway; one brother in law, Kenneth Gortemiller of Mena; five grandchildren, Andrea Cant, Robert Cant, Tabatha Edwards, Christopher Cant and Gayla Cant; four great-grandchildren, Hunter Phillips, Sean Phillips, Nevaeh Edwards and Shilo Edwards; several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.

A celebration of life will be held Saturday, June 6, 2015 from 9:00 A.M. to 6:00 P.M. at the Bowser Family Funeral Home in Mena with cremation services entrusted to Bowser Family Funeral Home in Mena.

George Raymond Monahan I am a Veteran.
March 20, 1983 - May 20, 2015

George Monahan, age 32, of Acorn, died Wednesday, May 20, 2015 at home in Acorn. He was born on Sunday, March 20, 1983 to Gene Raphael and Velda Genene Wilhite Monahan in Mena, Arkansas.

George served in the United States Army and a part of the 101st Airborne in which he was very proud. He enjoyed the outdoors and shooting his guns. He attended UTI School and became a racecar mechanic. George was a loving father, brother, nephew and friend and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Velda Monahan.

George is survived by his father, Gene Monahan of Missouri; two sons, George Michael Grant Monahan of Mena and Connor Strain of California; one brother, Bradley Monahan of Yuma, Arizona; his niece, Shaela Monahan of Cherry Hill; several aunts and uncles; and a host of other relatives and friends.

A memorial and burial will be held at Concord Cemetery in Ink on Friday, May 29, 2015 at 4:00 P.M. with cremation service entrusted to Bowser Family Funeral Home in Mena.
