Shirley Dean Robson

Shirley Dean Robson, age 66, of Albuquerque, New Mexico, passed away Sunday, April 29, 2012 in Albuquerque.
She was born May 27, 1945 in Borger, Texas to the late Clayton Robson and the late Lois I. “Jean” Sims Robson. Shirley loved to watch Dallas Cowboys’ football and she dearly loved her family. She was a loving sister, aunt, great-aunt, cousin and friend.
Kenneth Robson, age 63, of Albuquerque, New Mexico, passed away Sunday, April 29, 2012 in Albuquerque.
He was born December 22, 1948 in Mena, Arkansas to the late Clayton Robson and the late Lois I. “Jean” Sims Robson. Kenneth served his country in the United States Army. He was a loving brother, uncle, great uncle, cousin and friend.

Many other family members in Texas and Arkansas.
They were preceded in death by their parents, Clayton and Jean Robson and their sister, Loretta Scott.
Graveside services will be Monday, May 7, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at the Pinecrest Memorial Park. Interment will follow under the direction of the Beasley-Wood Funeral Home.
Rebecca Smith Oglesby

Rebecca Smith Oglesby, age 80, of Mena, Arkansas, passed away Sunday, May 6, 2012 in Mena.
She was born September 23, 1931 in Garvin, Oklahoma to the late Virgil Wyatt and the late Bessie Cottrell. She was united in marriage to the late Bill Smith, father of her children. She was a cook, for Mena Middle school for 10 years, and also for another 10 at Rich Mountain Nursing and Rehab Center. She was of the Baptist faith and was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend.
She is survived by:
Children: Shirley Storlie and husband Sonny of Mena, Arkansas Dianne Ferguson and special friend Tim of Mena, Arkansas Larry Smith and wife Delisa of Hayes, Kansas Leon Smith and wife Tina of Mena, Arkansas
Brother: John Wyatt and wife Lois of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma
Sisters: Lillie Hatter and husband Emmitt of Madill, Oklahoma Dorotha Thweat of Hayworth, Oklahoma June Towery of Golden, Oklahoma Linda Sue Pruitt and husband Michael of Golden, Oklahoma
12 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren
She was preceded in death by her parents, Virgil and Bessie Wyatt, by her husband Bill Smith, 3 brothers, Eugene, Edmon and James Wyatt, and a granddaughter, Jana Rae Smith.
Graveside services will be Tuesday, May 8, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at Cherry Hill Cemetery with Brother Arthur Smith officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of the Beasley-Wood Funeral Home. Visitation will be Monday evening, May 7th from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Fletcher "Gub" Powell
(August 1, 1921 - May 5, 2012)
Mr. Fletcher “Gub” Powell, age 90, of Oden, Arkansas, passed away Saturday, May 5, 2012 at his home.
He was born August 1, 1921 in Hot Springs, Arkansas to the late Levi W. Powell and the late Ola Norman Powell. He was united in marriage to the late Zelma Gortemiller on November 5, 1954. He was a mechanic, as well as a chicken and cattle farmer by profession and was a member of the Macedonia Primitive Baptist Church. He was a loving father, grandfather, brother, and friend and will be missed by those who knew and loved him.

Daughter: Cindy Powell Nelson and husband Chris Looney of Oden, Arkansas Sister: Betty Clardy of Lee’s Summit, Missouri
Grandchildren: Eric and Shanda Powell of Mt. Ida, Arkansas Tyler Powell, Sara Jane Powell, Nate Powell and Anna Powell, all of Woodbridge, Virginia Ricky Nelson, Jr. of Oden, Arkansas Several nieces and nephews and a host of friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Levi and Ola Powell, his wife Zelma Gortemiller Powell, a son, Eric Lavern Powell, 3 brothers, Clois Powell, Nathaniel Powell, and Harold Powell, and a sister, Elda Dennis.
Funeral services will be Thursday, May 10, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at the Macedonia Primitive Baptist Church with Elder Wayne Burns officiating. Interment follows in Gortemiller Cemetery under the direction of the Beasley-Wood Funeral Home. Visitation will be Wednesday evening, May 9th from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Eric Powell, Tyler Powell, Rickey Nelson, Jr., Rickey Nelson, Sr., Chris Counts, and Marcus Looney. Honorary pallbearers are Steve Belcher and Travis Goodner.

Ola Mae Richardson, age 70, of Grannis, Arkansas, passed away Sunday, May 13, 2012 in Hot Springs.
She was born March 10, 1942 in Wickes, Arkansas to the late Guy Herring and the late Ollie Tunnel Herring. She was united in marriage to L. C. Richardson. She was a homemaker and was a member of the Baker Rock Church. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend and will be greatly missed by her friends and family.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, May 16, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at the Wickes Church of the Nazarene with Brother James Squires officiating. Interment follows in Daniel Cemetery under the direction of the Beasley-Wood Funeral Home. Visitation will be Tuesday evening, May 15th from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

John Edward Smith, age 54, of Mena, Arkansas passed away Sunday, May 27, 2012, Hot Springs, Arkansas.
John was born on January 26, 1958, in Greenwood, Mississippi to the late David Edwin Smith and Vivian Rae Dunn Smith. He was a heavy machine operator by profession and was of the Baptist faith. He was a loving son, father, grandfather, brother and friend to all who knew him and loved him. He will be dearly missed by all.
