Pauline Daisy Hensley

Pauline Daisy Hensley, age 96, of Smithville, Oklahoma, passed away Thursday, May 3, 2012 in Texarkana, Texas.
She was born September 16, 1915 in Smithville, Oklahoma to the late James Jacob Weaver and the late Flora Ann Dover Weaver. She was united in marriage to the late Charles W. Hensley, Sr., on December 23, 1933. She was a homemaker and was a member of the Smithville Holiness Church. Mrs. Hensley was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend and will be missed greatly by those who knew her.

Great- Grandchildren: Mikayla Hensley, Holland Hensley, Samuel Mason and Hayden Otwell
She was preceded in death by her husband Charles W. Hensley, Sr., by 4 brothers, Otho Marion Weaver, Melvin Luther Weaver, Clarence Weaver, and Clifford Weaver, and by 5 sisters, Artie Lee (Hastings) Weaver, Mary Orene (Johnson) Weaver, Corene Grace (Hairrell) Weaver, and Helen Geneva Weaver.
Funeral services will be Sunday, May 6, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at the Smithville Holiness Church with Brother Donnie Vaughn officiating. Interment follows in Smithville Cemetery under the direction of the Beasley-Wood Funeral Home. Visitation will be general.
Pallbearers will be Scott Mason, Samuel Mason, Bryan Hensley, Jeff Burnett, Brennan Burnett, and Kenneth Smith.

Travis John Howard, age 21, of Lockesburg, Arkansas, formerly of Mena, passed away Saturday, May 12, 2012 in Mena.
He was born April 8, 1991 in Mena, Arkansas to Johnny Howard, Jr. and Fonda Armstrong Miller. He was a maintenance worker for Pilgrim’s Pride and was a member of Hillcrest Baptist Church. He was a loving son, brother, cousin, uncle and friend.

He was preceded in death by his Paternal Grandmother, Linda Howard, and by his Maternal Grandfather, Aldon Armstrong.
Graveside services will be Thursday, May 17, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at Gann Cemetery with Brother Floyd Folsom officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of the Beasley-Wood Funeral Home. Visitation for family and friends will be Wednesday evening, May 16th from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Honorary pallbearers will be Scotty Howard, Ty Venable, Cody Howard, Michael Everitt, Steven Kesterson, Russell Fairless, and Jamie Cavner.
Trucker Elliot Howard Robert Taylor

Trucker Elliot Howard Robert Taylor, age 2, of Hatfield, Arkansas, passed away Thursday, May 17, 2012 at his home.
He was born September 8, 2009 in Mena, Arkansas to Shane and Jessica Hicks Taylor. Trucker loved fishing and swimming and pushing his dump trucks and playing with his brothers and his sissy. He would often tell his Momma he loved her even more than chocolate, strawberries, fishing and cookie dough, which were his very favorite things. He loved to go everywhere with his Daddy and would always ask, “Mommy, div me tisses.” Trucker loved his Mommy and Daddy more than anything, and they in turn, loved him so much back and will always remember their sweet boy.

Graveside services are Friday, May 25, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at Pleasant Grove Cemetery at Cove with Brother Chris Burke officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of the Beasley-Wood Funeral Home. Visitation will be general.

Robert James Grossman

Robert James Grossman, Sr. age 75, of Mena, Arkansas, passed away Monday, May 21, 2012 at his home.
He was born June 13, 2012 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin to the late Paul Grossman, Sr. and the late Margret Grace Stowe Grossman. He was a mechanic in the automotive industry for many years and was also a veteran of the United States Army. He was a loving father, grandfather great-grandfather, brother, and friend. He will be dearly missed by all his friends and family at Wal-Mart.

Mr. Carlos D. Miranda, age 74, of Wickes, Arkansas, passed away Thursday, May 24, 2012 in Mena.
He was born March 24, 1938 in Los Angeles, California to the late Charlie Miranda and the late Nellie Diaz. He was united in marriage to Bobby J. Wilson Miranda. He was proudly retired from the United Sates Army, and was a member of the American Legion and the V.F. W. He was a good soldier and a good friend.

Funeral services will be Friday, June 1, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at Wickes Church of the Nazarene with Brother Mike Wilson officiating. Interment follows in Oak Grove Cemetery under the direction of the Beasley-Wood Funeral Home. Visitation will be Thursday, May 31, 2012 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Full Military honors will be rendered by the United States Army and by the Polk County Veterans Organizations.
Pallbearers will be the Members of the United States Armed Forces. Honorary pallbearers will be Will Rios, Sam Ahrens, Neal Badger, Mike Slagle, Kevin Foster, and David Oliver.
