Betty Sue Martin

Mrs. Betty Sue Martin, age 85, of Mena, Arkansas, passed away Sunday, March 11, 2012 in Lewisville, Texas.
She was born October 27, 1926 in Lockesburg, Arkansas to the late Richard Hicks and the late Caledonia Melinda Arnold Hicks. She was united in marriage to the late Bill Martin, Jr. She was a homemaker and was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Mena. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother, and a dear friend to those who knew her.
She is survived by:
Sons: Billy Martin and wife Doralene of Mena, Arkansas Glen Martin and wife Theresa of Carrolton, Texas
Daughter: Linda Trankel and husband Thomas of Lewisville, Texas
10 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren
She was preceded in death by her parents, Richard and Caledonia Hicks, her husband, Bill Martin, Jr., and several brothers and sisters.
Graveside services will be Wednesday, March 14, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at Pinecrest Memorial Park with Reverend Gary Harrison officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of the Beasley-Wood Funeral Home. Visitation will be general.
Jerry L. Emry, Sr.

Jerry L. Emry Sr. age 65, passed away Friday, March 09, 2012 in Little Rock, Arkansas.
Jerry was born June 06, 1946 in Joplin, Missouri to the late Jack McGuire Emry and the late Betty June Holman Emry. He was a talented musician playing the guitar and singing. Jerry was a member of the Freewill Baptist Church. He served his country in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War. Jerry was a loving father, brother, grandfather and friend and was loved by all.

Half-Brother: Allen Stewart of Mena, Arkansas
Grandchildren: Alec Cole Emry of Mena, Arkansas Kelsey Alice Emry of Rhode Island Summer Sharon Emry of Germany Wife and Special friend: Lanette Emry of Mena, Arkansas
Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, Jack and June Emry, brother, Rodney Emry and sister, Judy Emry.
Memorial services will be Monday, March 19, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at the First Freewill Baptist Church in Mena with Brother Donnie Jewell officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of the Beasley-Wood Funeral Home.
James "Ronnie" Heifner

James “Ronnie” Heifner age 66 of Little Rock, Ar, formerly of Cove, Ar. Passed away Monday, March 12, 2012 in Little Rock, Ar.
Ronnie was born July 12, 1945 to Frank Heifner of Cove, Ar. and the late Pauline Heifner Richardson. He was a retired truck driver and of the protestant faith, a loving husband, dad, and grandpa.
Survivors are his wife Virgie Heifner and 3 sons, Stanley Heifner and wife Pam, Wesley Heifner and wife Christi, Scotty Heifner and wife Charlotte. 7 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. Father Frank Heifner of Cove, Ar. Brothers include: David Heifner and wife Wanda of Dierks, Ar, Calvin Heifner and wife Donna of Hatfield, Ar, Robert Richardson and wife Mona of Morrilton, Ar. one sister Dee Roberts of Cove, Ar and sister in law Margie Heifner of Hatfield, Ar. and a number of nephews, nieces, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his mother Pauline Heifner Richardson, brothers Frankie “Spanky” Heifner and Jerry Heifner.
Funeral services will be held Friday, March 16, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at the Pleasant Grove Church of the Nazarene with Brother Steve Bradley officiating. Interment follows in Pleasant Grove Cemetery at Cove under the direction of the Beasley-Wood Funeral Home. Visitation is general.
Pallbearers will be Matt Heifner, Josh Heifner, Gerald Heifner, Glen Roberts, Keith Roberts, and Jerry Hackworth.

Jodie “Dink” Heath, age 57, of Mena passed away Monday, February 13, 2012 in Mena.
He was born February 6, 1955 in Mena, Arkansas to the late Robert Steve Heath and the late Laura Belle Lewis Heath. He was united in marriage to the late Janice Coston. Mr. Heath was a mill wright worker by profession. He was of the Baptist faith and a loving husband, father, grandfather, son-in-law, and friend.
