Leland Davis
Leland Rex Davis, 41, of Booneville, died Sunday, Feb. 2, 2003, at his home.
He was a timber worker and a member of Sugar Grove Pentecostal Church.
Graveside service was held Feb. 7 at Mountain Grove Cemetery in Sugar Grove under the direction of Roberts Funeral Home of Booneville.
He is survived by his wife, Myna; three daughters, Shavonne Franklin of Booneville, Tamara and Valerie Davis, both of California; five sons, Wesley Hester, John and Carol Davis, all of Booneville, and William and Leland Davis II, both of California; a stepdaughter, Melissa Catlett of Booneville; a stepson, Billy Catlett of Booneville; his mother Angie Webb and stepfather, Richard Webb of Booneville; a sister, Erda Moss of Booneville; two stepsisters, Threasa Howard and Joy Terry, both of Van Buren; a half brother, Howard Davis of California; two stepbrothers, Stewart Webb of California and Steve Webb of Booneville; and nine grandchildren.
Serena Nielsen
Serena Margaret Nielsen, 94, of Booneville, died on Thursday, December 30, 2004 in Ft. Smith.
She was born on February 2, 1910 in Ratcliff to Marcus Peter Marcussen and Margreta Hansen Marcussen.
She was a homemaker and a member of the Baptist Church.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. on Monday, January 3, 2005 at Smith Mortuary Chapel in Charleston with burial following at Parks Cemetery in Charleston.
She is survived by three daughters, Frances A. McIntire Kinard of Tupelo, MS, Katherien M. Cart of Lafayette, LA and Cynthia D. Nielsen of Fayetteville; three sons, Christopher M. Nielsen of Honolula, HI, Fridtjof O. Nielsen of Midland and Joseph C. Nielsen of Booneville; 10 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and 5 great-great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Patrick Porter, Troy Sharp, Kevin Sharp, Ronald Fletcher, Billy Howard, Bob Kinard, Mike Foreman and David Kyle.
Lindell Hill
Lindell Hill, 75, of Caulksville, died on Saturday, May 15, 2004 in a Ft. Smith hospital.
He was born on April 24, 1929 in Logan County to George A. Hill and Lena Leo Corley Hill.
He was a house mover for Combs House Moving Co. in Caulksville, an Air Force Veteran of the Korean Conflict, and attended the Caulksville Cumberland Presbyterian Church.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, May 18, 2004 at the Caulksville Cumberland Presbyterian Church with Rev. Bill VanMeter officiating.
Burial followed at the Caulksville City Cemetery under the direction of Smith Mortuary of Charleston.
He is survived by his wife, Hilda Rhea of the home; four sons, Larry Hill of Caulksville, Dr. Randy Hill of Springfield, Missouri, Bruce Hill of Bryant, AR and Brent Hill of Frisco, Texas; one sister, Juanita Powell of Ratcliff; two brothers, Marvin Hill of Seneca, South Carolina and Dwight Hill of Logansport, Louisiana; six grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Pallbearers were Shane Cantrell, Rick Pendleton, Kenny Pendleton, Bill Corley, Haskell Casalman and Richard Pettigrew.
Corine Colburn
Corine L. Riley Colburn, 84, of Caulksville, died on Monday, September 30, 2002 in Caulksville.
She was born March 11, 1918 in Logan County to Omer and Goldmer Hall Riley.
She was a homemaker and a member of Caulksville Cumberland Presbyterian Church.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, October 3, 2002 at the Caulksville Cumberland Presbyterian Church with Rev. Bill VanMeter officiating.
Burial followed at the Caulksville Cemetery under the direction of Smith Mortuary, Inc. of Charleston.
She is survived by one daughter, Barbara Clayborn of Wichita, Kansas; one son, Jimmy Colburn of Caulksville; three sisters, Betty Lou Riley and Mary Sue Riley both of Branch and Johnnie Mae Kohler of Paris; eight grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and 10 great great grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Haskell Casalman, Lyndell Hill, Todd Patterson, Jimmy Patterson, Joe Mack Patterson and Benny Rausch.
H. C. Dickerson
H. C. Dickerson, 73, of Ratcliff, died Friday, March 22, 2002 in Ozark.
He was a member of Roseville Baptist Church and the Arkansas Cattlemen's Association.
He was a telephone construction supervisor for Contel.
He served in the Korean War with the US Army.
He was born Sept. 14, 1928 in Taft, to Harley and Beulah Dickerson.
Funeral service was at 2 p.m. Monday, March 25 at Roseville Baptist Church with the Rev. Jack Porter officiating with burial at Belt Cemetery north of Ozark under the direction of Smith Mortuary of Charleston.
He is survived by wife, Jessie of the home; one daughter, Vickie Lane of Ratcliff; two sons, Ricky Dale Dickerson of Subiaco, and Douglas Dickerson of Ozark; one sister, Cumi Dickerson of Ozark; three brothers, Harley Dickerson of Branch, Herbert Dickerson of Ozark, and Othel Dickerson of Ratcliff; and six grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Jackie Patrick, Earl Wyers, Rickey Bowman, Ken Sturdivant, Lucky Cannon, and Bob McCartney.
Stephen Warnock
Stephen Lafayette Warnock, 42, of Springdale, passed away Wednesday, June 17, 2015 in Springdale.
He was born September 1, 1972, in Booneville, AR, to Stephen Lee Warnock and Geneva (Gennie) Elizabeth Warnock.
He enjoyed time with his family and friends and playing his guitar.
He was of the Christian faith.
He was preceded in death by his father Stephen Lee Warnock, his paternal grandparents, Roy Clifford Warnock and Lucille Warnock, his maternal grandparents William (Bill) H. and Gwendolyn (Gwen) Banning.
Graveside service was held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, June 20, 2015 at Garden of Memories in Charleston, under the direction of Smith Mortuary of Charleston.
He is survived by his daughter Julia Grayce Wilkins, Stillwell, OK; mother, Gennie Warnock and brother John Lawson Warnock both of Springdale.
Michael Steffey
Michael Dean Steffey, 45, died March 21, 2002 in Booneville.
He was born Sept. 7, 1956 in Kansas City, Mo.
Graveside services and burial were Monday, March 25 at 3 p.m. at Lick Creek Cemetery under the direction of Murry Funeral Home of Paris.
He is survived by his mother, Alice Haller Maxwell and step-dad James Maxwell of Booneville; one son, Michael Dean Steffey of California; one half-brother, Jimmy Maxwell; two sisters, Debbie Cemkey of California, and Pam Pardue of Tennessee; one half-sister, Kay Jones of Tennessee; and adopted sister, Little Debbie of Booneville.
Brenda Whitehead
Brenda Gale Whitehead, 42, of Rochelle, Ill., formerly of Havana, died Wednesday, March 20, 2002.
He was born Aug. 18, 1959 in Rochelle, Ill.
He was a member of Four Square Church in Rochelle, Ill. and a member of the Moose Lodge.
Services were Monday, March 25 at 10 a.m. at Havana Assembly of God Church in Havana burial was at Moores Chapel Cemetery in Waveland under the direction of Roberts Funeral Home of Booneville.
She is survived by parents M. Harold and Dorothy Burtman of Havana; husband, Kenneth Whitehead of the home in Rochelle, Ill. formerly of Booneville; two daughters, Kathy Whitehead of the home in Rochelle, Ill. and Erica Betz of Rochelle, Ill.; two sisters, Lena Vogel of Fort Scott, Kan. and Kate Clemons of Havana; and one granddaughter.
Pallbearers were Mitchell Clemons, Lee Love, Leslie Gorman, Johnny Burtman, Lonnie Whitehead, Carman Whitehead, Gary Whitehead and Allen Burtman.
