Teresa Fortuna
Teresa Maria Fortuna, 60, died Friday, February 12, in her home.
She was a resident of Lee County and a homemaker. She also was a member
of St. Andrew's Catholic Church in Marianna.
She is survived by her husband, John Fortuna, Sr., of Marianna; three
sons, John Fortuna, Jr., Paul Reyes Fortuna and Reynaldo Fortuna, all of
Marianna; and seven daughters, Angelita Fortuna Mendez, Viola Valdez
Fortuna, Bertha Thompson Fortuna, Josephine Flores Fortuna, Beatrice
Fortuna Rodriguez, Dorthelia Flores Fortuna and Rosita Fortuna Ortiz,
all of Marianna.
Funeral services were held Monday, February 15, at Roller-Citizens
Chapel at 2 p.m. with Rev. Ed Graves officiating. Burial followed at
Crittenden Memorial Park in Marion.
Pallbearers were Martin Padilla, Gerardo De Arcia, Leon Padilla, Luciano
Padilla, Larry Valdez, Rigo Eduardo and Ivan Urbina.
Arrangements were handled by Roller-Citizens Funeral Home.
Meghan Parson
Meghan Lynn Parson, 7, died Tuesday, February 9, at Children's Hospital
in Little Rock.
She is survived by her parents, Tony and Leslie Parson of Moro; her
grandparents, Glenn and Modine Cross Parson and Herman and Kathy Wooten
Gray, all of Moro; and her great grandmothers, Donna Wooten and Mallie
Gray, also of Moro.
Funeral services were held Friday, February 12, at 2 p.m. at the Gospel
Lighthouse Church in Moro with Rev. Charles Jones and Rev. Lyndall
Gwathney officiating. Burial followed at Oak Grove Cemetery in Moro.
Pallbearers were Rudy Wilson, Dusty Wilson, Lanny Bosnick, Lanard Walker
and Frankie Parson.
Honorary pallbearers were Paul McGee, Larry Gray, Larry Norton and Sammy
Brocato.

Otha Harris, Sr.
Otha Harris, Sr., 78, died Saturday, February 6, in his home.
He was a resident of Lee County and a member of Shiloh Deliverance
Church.
He is survived by his wife, Ruthie Mae Harris; one sister, Verneda
Watson of Little Rock; six sons, Marvin Harris of Dallas, Milton Harris
of Jacksonville, Otha Harris, Jr. and Lloyd Harris, both of Little Rock,
Charles Harris and Herbert Harris of Detroit; six daughters, Latrice
Harris of Marianna, Barbara Harris of Houston, Thelma King of O'Fallen,
Ill., Mary Smith of Marianna, Lois McGee of Little Rock and Claudia
Brown of Detroit; 31 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Saturday, February 13, at 1 p.m. at Shiloh
Deliverance Church with Elder Herbert Harris officiating. Burial
followed at Marianna Memorial Park.
Pallbearers were Bro. Bennie Sims, Charles Nash, Bro. Charles Jackson,
Columbus Dukes and Lamant Daniels.
Honorary pallbearers were Otha Harris, Jr., Lloyd Harris, Sr., Charles

Pearlie Bowers
Pearlie Mae Bowers, 62, died Thursday, February 14, at St. Benards
Hospital in Jonesboro.
She was a resident of Lee County and an employee of Crestpark Nursing
Home. She also was a member of St. James Temple C.O.G.I.C. in Marianna.
She is survived by her mother, Ms. Effie Meredith; five sisters, Lillie
Humphrey of Gill, Essie Bonds of Aubrey, Bulah Young of Memphis, Willie
Mae Green of LaGrange and Lula Nicholson of Las Vagas, Nevada; two
brothers, Roosevelt Nash of Gill and Sammy Nash of Memphis; seven
daughters, Velma Perry of Moro, Mary Morris of West Memphis, Ruby Carter
of Marianna, Bobby Williams, Debra Jones and Lisa Thomas, all of
Jonesboro; five sons, Larry Thomas and Melvin Thomas, both of Marianna,
Perry Thomas of LaGrange, Robert Bowers, Jr. of Marianna and Sterling
Bowers of Little Rock; 22 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 20, at St. James
Temple C.O.G.I.C. with Rev. James Alexander officiating. Burial will
follow at Gill Cemetery in Gill.
Pallbearers will be Larry Thomas, Melvin Perry, Sammie Nash, Roosevelt
Nash and Robert Bowers, Jr.
Honorary pallbearers will be Anderson "Pete" Perry, Marshall Williams,
John Carter, Dennis Jones, Walter Morris and Ronald Booker.

Benard Helton
Benard Helton, 84, died Wednesday, February 17, at Baptist Memorial
Hospital in Memphis.
He was a resident of Lee County and a farmer. He was of the Baptist
faith.
He is survived by one son, Franklin Helton of Marianna; one daughter,
Betty Creston of Little Rock; one brother, Herby Helton of Mississippi;
one sister, Marie Heiser of Nevada; six grandchildren and 12
great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Saturday, February 20, at 2 p.m. at
Roller-Citizens Funeral Home Chapel in Marianna with Rev. Harlan Puckett
officiating. Burial followed at Marianna Memorial Park.
Pallbearers were Russell Spain, Terry Stewart, James Jones, Ray Cross,
Donald Davis and George Brown.

Geneva Hudnall
Geneva Tildy Cowen Hudnell, 76, died Tuesday, February 16, at Elvis
Presley Trauma Center in Memphis.
She was a resident of Lee County and a retired employee of Helena
Sportswear. She was a member of the Assembly of God of God.
She is survived by her husband, Van Hudnall of Marianna; one son,
Phillip Hudnall of Mountain Home; two daughters, Vaneva Sheffield of
Dermott, and Wanda Russell of Marianna; four grandchildren and eight
great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Thursday, February 18, at 2 p.m. at the First
Assembly of God in Marianna with Rev. Darrell Frost officiating. Burial
followed at Marianna Memorial Park.
Pallbearers were Jimmy Riden, Fred Buford, Dennis Carnes, Cleo Davis,
Billy Benson and Billy Riden.

Martha Crosland
Martha Louise Crosland, 83, died Tuesday, February 16.
She was a resident of Searcy, formerly of Brinkley. She was a retired
nurse from the White County Memorial Hospital and a member of the
Assembly of God Church.
She is survived by her husband, James Crosland; a son, James Terry of
Searcy; three daughters, Ruby Wolf of Fayetteville, Peggy Goodgion of
Searcy and Gladys Walker of Kensett; two sisters, Naomi Foster of
Harriet and Pauline Roberson of West Memphis; 12 grandchildren, 27 great
grandchildren and six great- great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, February 23, at 2 p.m. at the First
Assembly of God Church in Searcy. Burial followed at White County
Memorial Gardens.
Arrangements were handled by Bob Neal and Sons Funeral Home.
Louwellen Walker
Louwellen Walker, 55, died Sunday, February 21.
She was a resident of Little Rock.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 27, at 1 p.m. at Rocky
Mountain M.B. Church in Little Rock. Burial will follow at Sherrill, AR.

Hightower and Sons Funeral Home, located at 25 South Liberty Street.
Helen Guin
Helen Virginia Guin, 69, died Monday, February 22, at Baptist Central
Hospital in Memphis.
She was a resident of Lee County.
She is survived by her husband, James W. Guin of Marianna; two sons,
William C. Guin of Nashville and Michael W. Guin of Orange Park, FL; one
daughter, Pamela Graham of Jonesboro; three sisters, Ruby Richardson of
Earle Rosie Mae Stowe of Brinkley and Joyce Richardson of Forrest City;
eight grandchildren and one great- grandchild.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, February 24 at 2 p.m. at
Roller-Citizens Chapel in Marianna with Rev. Robert O'Bryant and
Minister Pat James officiating. Burial followed at Marianna Memorial
Park.
Pallbearers were Albert Human, Armil Poynter, Donnie Mooney, Harris
Dorris, Gary Barkley and Kevin Mooney.
