Elizabeth Nolze
Elizabeth Marie “Liz” Nolze, 61, of Alma, died Saturday, March 22, 2003, at a local hospital. She was a homemaker and a Catholic.
Graveside service was held March 25 at Alma Cemetery under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home of Van Buren.
She is survived by her fiancee, Bill Johnson of the home; two daughters, Tammy Elmore of West Fork and Julie Smith of Spiro; a son, Edward Cravens of Wichita, Kan.; seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Emil Strohmeyer
Emil Strohmeyer, 82, of Mountainburg, died Wednesday, March 6, 2002. He wa a lifelong cowboy and rancher, and active member in the Armed Forces and lived most of his live in New Mexico.
Survivors include his wife, Bennie; three daughters, Barbara Walker of Roswell, N.M., Peggy Boyd of Mountainburg and Billie DiNicola of Orange, Conn.; one sister, Bonnie “Babe” Barker of Waynoka, Okla.; one grandson, Ben Walker of Albuquerque, N.M.; two granddaughters, Heather Boyd of Van Buren and Hollie Robertson of Alma; one great-granddaughter, Katlin Shepherd of Van Buren; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral service was held March 8 at Edwards Van-Alma Chapel.
James Irvin Sr.
James Henry Irvin Sr., 78, of Uniontown, died Saturday, March 16, 2002, at a local hospital. He was a Navy veteran of World War II and a retired truck driver for AMPI Milk Association. He was preceded in death by his wife, Flora.
Survivors include one daughter, Neva Stone of Van Buren; three sons, James Henry Irvin Jr. and Ned Irvin, both of Uniontown, and Randy Irvin of Van Buren; and seven grandchildren.
Graveside service was held March 19 at Hall Cemetery under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home of Van Buren.
Lulu Daversa
Lulu Brooks Daversa, 80, of Van Buren, died Thursday, Dec. 26, 2002, at a local hospital. She was a homemaker, a Navy veteran, of the Catholic faith, a member of Women’s International Bowling Congress for 22 years, former house director of Vista Entertainment Center and the widow of Thomas Michael Daversa.
Memorial service will be 11 a.m. Friday at Eternal Hills Mortuary in Oceanside, Calif. Burial of cremains will be at Eternal Hills Memorial Park and Mortuary in Oceanside, Calif. Local arrangements are under the direction of Lewis Funeral Chapel of Lavaca.
She is survived by a daughter, Debbie Andrews of Lavaca; a son, Thomas Michael Daversa of Escondido, Calif.; a brother, Lawrence Kavanaugh of Easton, Mass.; and three grandchildren.

Margaret House
Margaret Ann House, 60, of Alma, died Thursday, Dec. 26, 2002, in Alma. She was an accountant for CCT Trucking in Van Buren and a member of First Baptist Church in Van Buren.
She is survived by her husband, Jerry; a daughter, Katie Duncan of Ozark; three sisters, Sharon Almond of Mulberry, Glenda Casteel of Vian and Connie Casteel of Alma; and two grandchildren.
Funeral service was held Dec. 30 at Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home Chapel in Van Buren with burial at Gill Cemetery in Van Buren.
Pallbearers were James and David Blackwell, Kevin, Scott, Ron and Robert Casteel.
Kyongyun Lee
Kyongyun Lee, 61, of Van Buren, died Friday, Dec. 27, 2002, at a local hospital. He was a line worker at Tyson Foods in Van Buren and a member of First Presbyterian Church in Fort Smith.
He is survived by his wife, Keumja; a daughter, Mijung Blemmel of Talihina, Okla.; two sons, Kyuho Lee of Fort Smith and Kyu Shun Lee of Van Buren; and eight grandchildren.
Funeral service was held Dec. 31 at Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home Chapel in Van Buren with burial at Gracelawn Cemetery in Van Buren.
Pallbearers were Joe Blemmel, Kyuho Lee, Kyu Shun Lee and Rodney Myers.
Clyde Burrow
Clyde Burrow, 84, of Mulberry, died Friday, Dec. 27, 2002, at a Little Rock hospital. He was born on Arbuckle Island and was a former General Motors employee in California.
Funeral service was held Dec. 30 at Dyer Cemetery Arbor with burial at Dyer Cemetery in Dyer under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home in Alma.
He is survived by a sister, Geneva Ricester of Wenatchee, Wash.
Eula Stephens
Eula Lenora Stephens, 86, of Van Buren, died Saturday, Dec. 28, 2002, at a local hospital.
She was retired from Radiant Glass Company, a homemaker and the widow of Odis Stephens.
Funeral will be 2 p.m. Monday at Ocker Memorial Chapel in Van Buren with burial at Gill Cemetery in Van Buren.
She is survived by two daughters, Marcella Horton of Fort Smith and Gina Lunsford of Van Buren; a son, Burl Stephens of Ozark; three sisters, Betty Fouty of Wenatchee, Wash.; Helen Rose of Kerrville, Texas; and Mary Monteza of Holland, Mich.; and seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Karen Beckner, Mary Johnston, Ronald Stephens, Tim Johnston, Chris Lunsford, Jeff Lunsford and Steve Lunsford.
