Annabelle Clemmons
Annabelle Clemmons, 81, of Van Buren, died Tuesday, Aug. 27, 2002, at a local hospital. She was a retired seamstress for Kenline Furniture Company in Van Buren and of the Pentecostal faith. She was preceded in death by her husband, Cecil
Survivors include a daughter, Marilyn King of Van Buren; a son, Rod Clemmons of Houston; a sister, Eleanor Brewer of Tulsa; a brother, Paul Yerton of Lowell; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Funeral service was held Aug. 29 at Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home Chapel in Van Buren. Burial was at Coil Cemetery in Winslow.
Pallbearers were Stephen, David and Heath King, Bart, Tom and Chuck Clemmons and Ron Brewer.
Carl Lee Squires
Carl Lee “Arkie” Squires, 63, of Mulberry, died Tuesday, Aug. 27, 2002, at a local nursing home. He was the owner and operator of Arkie Small Engine Service and was of the Protestant faith.
Survivors include his wife, Doris; three daughters, Dora Squires, Carol DeLong and Barbara Adams, all of Mulberry; his mother, Arlene Squires of Hanford, Calif.; three sisters, Ruby Howe and Betty Sanders, both of Hanford, and Sue Proctor of Mount Juliett, Tenn; and three grandchildren.
Funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at Edwards Van-Alma Chapel under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home. Location of interment has yet to be determined.
Pallbearers will be Jeff Marvin, Stephen Coleman, Buddy Taylor, Brandon Shipley, Jacob Reynolds and James Coleman.
Memorial contributions may be made to Mulberry First Baptist Church.
W.T. Osborne
W.T. “Bill” Osborne was born in Rudy, on July 17, 1923, and passed away Aug. 21, 2002. Bill was the second of nine children. At just 17 years of age he joined the U.S. Army. He served during World War II in Europe. He helped liberate Dachau Concentration Camp in Germany which earned him a Bronze Star. Bill worked 36 years for Westen Electric. He was very active in C.W.A. for over 50 years. He was a member of VFW Post 6796 and was a Mason. He was a volunteer for the Garland Little League. He was an active member of the First Presbyterina Church of Garland. Bill is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Joyce; his sons and their wives, Jerry and Libby, David and Deborah, Stephen and Theresa; his grandchildren, Kandis, Brandy, Blake and Amie; three brothers, Giles and Jerry of Alma and James of Tulsa, Okla.; two sisters, Helen Wilson of Alma and Sue Smith of Rudy; numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
Services were held Aug. 24 at First Presbyterian Church in Garland, Texas. Interment to follow in Restland Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to the First Presbyterian Church of Garland.
Flora Crabtree
Flora Crabtree, 88, of Cedarville, died Friday, Aug. 23, 2002. She was a lifelong resident of Crawford County, a homemaker and a member of Shamrock Community Church.
Survivors include her husband, Jim Crabtree; one daughter, Mary LaRue of Cedarville; three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Funeral service was held Aug. 26 at Ocker Memorial Chapel in Van Buren. Burial will be held at Hall Cemetery in Natural Dam under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home of Van Buren.
Pallbearers were J.D. Carter, Dwain LaRue, Justin LaRue, Robert Evans, Tommy Carter and Paul Harris.
Harold Weatherl
Harold Weatherl, 79, of Mulberry, died Sunday, Aug. 25, 2002. He was an Army Air Corps veteran of World War II, a member of First Baptist Church in Mulberry, lifetime member of Disabled American Veterans and the American Legion Post No. 149 in Mulberry.
Survivors include his wife, Ruby; a daughter, Shirley Bland of Ozark; two sons, James Harold Weatherl of Dover and Danny Weatherl of Ratcliff; a sister, Gladys Syverson; a brother, Hubert Weatherl of Brushperry, Wash.; 12 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Funeral service was held Aug. 28 at First Baptist Church in Mulberry. Burial was at New Cemetery in Mulberry under the direction of Shaffer Funeral Home of Mulberry.
Pallbearers were James Weatherl, Jason Newhart, David Rieder, Dirk Collier, Jeff Worstell, Jeff Musgrave and Leonard Bland.
Flora Crabtree
Flora Crabtree, 88, of Cedarville, died Friday, Aug. 23, 2002. She was a lifelong resident of Crawford County, a homemaker and a member of Shamrock Community Church.

Elwayne Stockton
Elwayne Stockton, 59, of Cedarville, died Tuesday, Aug. 13, 2002, at a local hospital. He was an Army veteran of the Vietnam War, a fork lift driver for 30 years with Meade Container and a member of Cedarville First Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Norma; a sister, Jeanette Morse of Mountainburg; and a brother, Francis E. Stockton of Cedarville.
Funeral service was held Aug. 16 at Cedarville First Baptist Church. Burial was held at Bolton Cemetery near Alma under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home of Van Buren.
Pallbearers were David Edward Stockton, James Parmenter, Brock Duffel, Tom Kracker, Keith Willet and Will Faulkner.
Opal Cunningham
Opal Cunningham, 92, of Van Buren, died Wednesday, June 19, 2002, at a local nursing home. She was a lifelong resident of Crawford County.
Survivors include a nephew, David Moore of Van Buren; two nieces, Carolyn Shaddox of Tulsa and Linda Loftin of Oklahoma City; and grandnieces and nephews.
Funeral service was held June 24 at Ocker Memorial Chapel. Burial was at Fairview Cemetery under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home of Van Buren.
