Margie Repass
Margie Thompson Repass, 54, of Plano, Texas, died Sunday, July 14, 2002. She was a receptionist for Keane Landscaping and was Baptist.
Survivors include three brothers, Bobby Cruise of Kibler, Tony Cruise of Van Buren and Tommy Cruise of Sacramento, Calif.; and three nieces and two nephews.
Funeral service was held July 19 at Ocker Funeral Home Memorial Chapel in Van Buren. Burial was held at Arbuckle Island near Lavaca.
Pallbearers were Shannon and Michael Cruise, David Delvin, Kevin Keane, Rusty Cooper and Rick Thompson.
Marlene Chitwood
Marlene Chitwood, 64, of Palm Desert, Calif., died Wednesday, June 19, 2002. She was a native of Dyer, a 1955 graduate of Alma High School, a 1958 graduate of Ventura College in Ventura, Calif., held securities and real estate licenses in the state of California and had been both president and vice president of the Coachella Valley Symphony League. She also had worked for the American Cancer Society.
Survivors include her mother, Hazel Chitwood of Kibler; a sister, Kay Chitwood of Alma; a brother, Scotty Chitwood of Ventura, Calif.; a niece, Becky Duarte, of Camarillo, Calif.; a great niece, Merilee Iverson of Thousand Oaks, Calif.; a granddaughter, Erica Shores of Alma; and a great-grandson, Phillip Shores of Alma.
Funeral service was held June 26 at Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home in Van Buren. Burial was at Dyer Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Jim Preston, Jerry Hunter, Jimmy Carrol Harris, Billy Gale Morris, Keith Gregory and J.R. Joyce.
Honorary pallbearers were Germerial Warrick, Joe Wayne Harris, Michael Gregory, Howard Kosier, Fines Batchelor and Mack Jenkins.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or Coachella Valley Symphony League.
C.A. Bolding
C.A. Bolding, 77, of Siloam Springs, died Thursday, June 20, 2002. He was a longtime resident of Alma, moving to Siloam Springs in 1973, where he was country plant manager for Allen Canning Co. and a Navy veteran.
Survivors include a son, Bud of Alma; two daughters, Sue Wagner of Alma and Jean Ann Varwig of Siloam Springs; two brothers, Bill of Ava, Mo., and Darrell of Friendswood, Texas; three sisters, Cordelia Alley of Austin, Texas, Belle Young of Fort Smith and Betty Milton of Alma; and five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Graveside service was held June 24 at Alma Cemetery under the direction of Wasson Funeral Home of Siloam Springs.

Lois Miller
Lois Miller, 87, of Fern, died Tuesday, June 18, 2002. She was a homemaker, a member of the Eastern Star No. 579 and the Freewill Baptist Church of Fern. She was preceded in death by her husband, Allen.
Survivors include her husband, Joseph; three daughters, Kathryn Mumma of Wichita, Kan., Johnnie Lou Smith of Van Buren and Sharon Morse of Alpena; a sister, Beulah Milsap of Mulberry; six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Funeral service was held June 21 at Fern Assembly of God. Burial was at Shores Cemetery in Fern under the direction of Shaffer Funeral Home of Mulberry.
Pallbearers were Kenney Allen, Robert, Jason and Bobby L. Smith, Leonard Mumma and O.R. Morse.
Honorary pallbearers were members of the Eastern Star.

Lillian Kylander, 78, of Knob Noster, Mo., died Thursday, June 20, 2002. She was a homemaker and of the Baptitst faith. She was preceded in death by her husband, David.
Survivors include a daughter, Myrna Sue Neighbors of Knob Noster; a son, David Troy Kylander of Knob Noster; a brother, Troy Hopkins of Cedarville; two sisters, Hazel Lomax of Seminole, Texas, and Ruby Mayo of Haywood, Calif.; three grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Graveside service was held June 22 at Knob Noster Cemetery under the direction of Sweeney-Phillips and Holdren Funeral Home of Warrensburg, Mo.
Clyde Harris
Clyde E. Harris, 76, of Clarksville, died Friday, Jan. 17, 2003, at his home. He was a member of Crossroads Assembly of God Church and was a minister for 40 years..
He is survived by his wife, Ruth; a daughter, Linda Reinholtz of Lowell; a son, LeRoy Harris of Clarksville; three sisters, Zana Harris of Fort Smith, Mary Magby of Mountainburg and Ann Vaughn of Rudy; a brother, Leon Harris of Fort Smith; six grandchildren and two step-grandchildren.
Graveside service was held Jan. 20 at Mount Vernon Cemetery in Mount Vernon under the direction of Hardwicke Funeral Home
Pallbearers were Shawn and Roy Harris, Danny Goodin, Carl Sorey, Jim Tong and Kenny Reinholtz.
Docia Burrow
Docia Lou Burrow, 78, of Hollister, Mo., died Monday, Jan. 13, 2003, in Hollister. She was a homemaker and member of Abiding In The Vine Worship Center. She and her husband were pastors in central Arkansas for more than 20 years.
Graveside service was held Jan. 14 at Gracelawn Cemetery in Van Buren under the direction of Greenlawn Funeral Home of Branson, Mo.
She is survived by her husband, the Rev. Ruben Burrow; two daughters, Judy Chittenden of Van Buren and Rebecca Jeanne Overturf of Atoka, Tenn.; two sons, Ruben Wayne Burrow of Visalia, Calif., and Gary Doyle Burrow of Hollister, Mo.; a sister, Emily Haskins of Wildwood, Fla.; 14 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
Vernon Cornett
Vernon Boyd Cornett, 73, of St. Paul, died Saturday, Jan. 18, 2003, at Washington Regional Medical Center in Fayetteville. He was born at St. Paul, a former resident of Uniontown and a bus driver for Cedarville Public Schools.
Survivors include his wife Joyce Smith Cornett of the home; three sons: Daryl Cornett of Prairie Grove, Robert Cornett of St. Paul and George Cornett of Crosses; one brother, Carey Cornett of Buena Park, Calif.; two sisters, Geraldine Petree of St. Paul and Marguerite Bryant of Uniontown; and four grandchildren.
Funeral service was held Jan. 21 at the St. Paul Full Gospel Church with Pastor Doyle Baker officiating. Burial was Riverside Cemetery under the direction of Brashears Funeral Home.
Pallbearers were Donald Smith, Gerald Smith, Cornell Cook, David Johnson, Ronald Baker and Vern Phipps.
