Paul Kilburn
Rev. Paul Kilburn, 70, of Scarborough, Ontario, Canada, died Sunday, March 3. 2002. He was a Korean War Army veteran and the founder and pastor of Fairview Church of God in Scarborough for 23 years.
Survivors include one sister, Imogene Tudor of Natural Dam, and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Independence Freewill Baptist Church in Natural Dam.
Pallbearers will be David Tudor, Rocky Tudor, L.G. Turner, Michael Brodrick and Daren Shockey.
Josephine Moore
Josephine Moore, 92, of Pierre, S.D., died Tuesday, March 5, 2002. She and her husband were ranchers in Branson, Colo., and ranched in the Van Buren area for several years. She was preceded in death by her husband, Murray.
Survivors include her sister, Lois Thompson of Pierre, and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral service was held March 9 in Colorado.
Robert Boyd
Robert Columbus Boyd, 89, of Prairie Grove, died Friday, March 15, 2003, at a Prairie Grove nursing home. He was born Dec. 18, 1913, in Cedarville. He was a member of Freewill Baptist Church in Chester and the widower of Elaine Boyd.
He is survived by four daughters, Vivian Wieburg, Patsy Coyle and Carolyn Cooper, all of Prairie Grove, and Mary Lou Derby of Dexter, Maine; two sons, Roger Dwain Boyd of Prairie Grove and Robert Dale Boyd of Fayetteville; two sisters, Maggie Bartholomew of West Fork and Jean Melvin of Van Buren; 20 grandchildren, 42 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
Funeral service was held March 18 at Chester Freewill Baptist Church with burial at Shamrock Cemetery in Cedarville under the direction of Luginbuel Funeral Home of Prairie Grove.
Pallbearers were grandsons Steve and Craig Boyd, Alan Wieburg, Jerry Coyle, Lynn Cooper and Doug Kidd.
Inez Harriman
Inez Burchfield Harriman, 84, of Hamburg, Ark., died Monday, March 10, 2003, at a Oxford, Miss., hospital. She was a native of Ashley County, a resident of Hamburg for most of her life and a resident of Oxford since 1998. She was the area director of the Arkansas Public Health Department, having retired in 1989. She was the administrative assistant to Ashley County Judge W.T. Higginbotham for many years, a member of the First Baptist Church and served as church pianist for more than 30 years. She was preceded in death by her husband, Morril Harriman Sr.
She is survived by her son, Morril Harriman Jr. and wife Martha of Van Buren; her daughter, Lyna Jordan and husband Covin of Oxford; and three grandchildren, Stephanie Jordan of Oxford, Brian Harriman of Naples, Fla., and John Harriman of Van Buren.
Funeral service was held March 13 at First Baptist Church in Hamburg with Dr. Bobby Pennington and Rev. Klois Hargis officiating. Burial was at the Hamburg Cemetery under the direction of Jones-Hartshorn Funeral Home, Hamburg.

Truman Hall
Truman W. Hall, 71, of Bee Branch, formerly of Little Rock, died Friday, March 21, 2003. He was a graduate of Joe T. Robinson High School and a Marine Corps veteran. After being in the retail lumber business for 28 years, he became a representative and a lobbyist for the Mid American Lumberman’s Association and served at its president in 1987-88. He was a member of Bee Branch Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Sue Greer Hall; two daughters, Pamela H. Boyd of Conway and Kathryn Ayres of Bee Branch; one son, Michael Hall of Little Rock; two sisters, Mildred Turner and Rosa Lee Perrien, both of Bee Branch; and four grandchildren.
Funeral service was held March 25 at Calvary Baptist Church with burial at Pinecrest Memorial Park under the direction of Roller-Chenal Funeral Home.

Aiden Brewer
Aiden William Brewer, infant son of Jennifer Kizziar of Huntington, and Jonathan Brewer of Mansfield, died Tuesday, March 18, 2003, at a Little Rock hospital.
Graveside service were held March 21 at Gill Cemetery in Van Buren under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home of Van Buren.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by paternal grandparents, Dennis Brewer of Little Rock and Tina Rye of Mountainburg; maternal grandparents, Glenn and Sharanna Kizziar of Kibler and Gwen Kizziar of Huntington; paternal great-grandparents, Viola Brewer of Mansfield and Jerry Proctor of California; and maternal great-grandparents, David Overton and Helen Kizziar of Russellville and Geneva Crowley of Mulberry.
Clarence Betterton
Clarence Edwin Betterton of Junction City, Ore., died Dec. 9 of age-related causes. He was 82.
Betterton was born Dec. 26, 1918, in Van Buren to Roy and Rachel Brasuell Betterton. He marriage Pauline Hyde in Fort Smith on May 10, 1939.
He and his wife moved in 1939 to the Junction City/Harrisburg area, were they worked as farmers. Betterton enjoyed woodworking. He was a member of the King’s Grace Fellowship in Junction City.
Survivors include his wife; three daughters, Daisy Johnson of Junction City, Bernice Easler of Colorado Springs, Colo., and Patricia Stevenson of Milwaukie, Ore.; three sisters, Mildred Larson of California, Pauline Miller of Harrisburg and Lela Mundy of Madras; three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Funeral service was held Dec. 14 at Rest-Haven Memorial Park and Funeral Home in Eugene. Burial was held at Rest-Haven Memorial Park.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Junction City Fire Department or the American Diabetes Association.
Estella Pense
Estella Pense, 90, of Winslow, died Friday, Dec. 28, 2001, at a local hospital. She was a homemaker and a member of the Winfrey Valley Tabernacle. She was preceded in death by her husband, Rual Pense.
Survivors include eight daughters, Alice Shell of Fort Smith, Ellen Seeley of Hot Springs, Betty Sanders of West Fork, Ann Bemrose and Sharon Fraley, both of Winslow, Evelyn Pense of the home, Kay Langley of Mountainburg and Connie Gunem of West Siloam Springs; five sons, Amos Pense of Fall River, Kan., Alvis Pense of Mountainburg, Jack Pense and Lonnie Seeley, both of Winslow, and Charles Pense of Fort Smith; and 24 grandchildren, 35 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral service was held Dec. 31 at the Winfrey Valley Tabernacle Church. Burial was held at Pense-Reed Cemetery under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home of Van Buren.
Pallbearers will be her grandsons.
