June Helen Fithian
June Helen Fithian, 76, Rogers, Ark., passed away Tuesday, June 4, 2002, in Rogers.
She is survived by her husband, Bill J. Fithian, of the home.
Visitation will be Thursday, June 6, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., at the Benton County Funeral Home, Rogers.
Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, June 7, at Lakeside Baptist Church.
Interment will be in the Benton County Memorial Park Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Mary's Hospice.
Arrangements are under the direction of Benton County Funeral Home, Rogers.
Carrol Dewayne Laney
ROGERS, Ark. - Carrol Dewayne Laney, age 73, passed away April 17, 2001 at St. Mary's Hospital in Rogers, Ark., at 8:55 a.m.
Mr. Laney was born in Washburn, Mo., April 19, 1927, and was a resident of Joplin until 1975 when he moved to Rogers.
He is survived by his wife, Joann, whom he marriage December 27, 1948; a sister, Jewel Robbins; four children, Connie Callahan, Randy Laney and wife, Shirley, Lynn Warren and husband, Mike, and Dena Beaucham and husband, David; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father, Herbert and mother, Dora Collins; a daughter, Dewonna Carol; and two brothers, Olin and Dayton.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 18, at Callison-Lough Funeral Home, 408 West Walnut, Rogers, Ark.
Ervan L. Carpenter
Ervan Louis Carpenter, 87, of Sulphur Springs, Ark., died at 2:12 p.m. on Friday, August 11, 2000 at Gravette Medical Center Emergency Room after a sudden illness.
Mr. Ervan Carpenter was born February 5, 1913 in Major County, Okla. to the late Leslie Wallace and Hannah Pauline (Groene) Carpenter.
He had lived in the Sulphur Springs area about 60 years.
He was a farmer.
He was a member of the Mt. Zion Baptist Church at Sulphur Springs, where he served as superintendent for years.
He marriage Winifred Adeline Carter on June 11, 1933 at Newkirk, Okla.
She survives.
Additional survivors include one son, Donald Carpenter, of Noel, Mo.; one daughter, Pauline Horton, of Grove, Okla.; one brother, Glen Carpenter, of Southwest City, Mo.; six grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother and one sister.
Funeral services for Mr. Ervan Carpenter will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 15, 2000 at the Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Sulphur Springs.
Reverend Dan Dareing will officiate.
Burial will be in the Southwest City Cemetery in Southwest City, Mo.
Visitation will be held on Monday, August 14, 2000 from noon until 8:00 p.m. at the Ozark Funeral Home in Southwest City.
The family will receive friends from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m.
Memorial contributions may be given to the Mt. Zion Baptist Church or the Salvation Army in care of the funeral home.
Melvin R. Morgan
RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. - Melvin Ray Morgan, 83, formerly of Lawrence County, Mo., passed away Sunday, June 30, 2002. He was a production supervisor.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Morris-Leiman-Mosher Funeral Home, Miller, Mo.
Burial will be in Miller Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home.

The body has been cremated.

Burial will be at Rocky Comfort Missouri Cemetery at a later date.
Della Alaniz
Della Alaniz, 83, Fayetteville, Ark., died Tuesday, Jan. 7, 1997, at Washington Regional Medical Center, Fayetteville, after an illness.
She was the mother of Eddie Alaniz, Joplin.
Mrs. Alaniz was born May 10, 1913, at Zactes, Mexico.
She was a homemaker and a member of Baptist Ford Community Church, Greenland, Ark.
Her husband, Emmett R. Alaniz Sr., died Nov. 21, 1981.
Additional survivors include three sons, Emmett R. "Rex" Alaniz Jr. and Fred R. Alaniz, both of Springdale, and Johnny A. Alaniz, Rogers, Ark.; a daughter, Stella Farrar, Greenland; a brother, Bob Lopez, the state of California; 19 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday at Moore's Funeral Chapel, Fayetteville.
The Rev. Ervin Hutchins will officiate.
Burial will be in Baptist Ford Cemetery, Greenland.
