Emery Oberlitner
BENTONVILLE, Ark. - Emery H. Oberlitner, 94, died Thursday, Feb. 6, 1997, at Bentonville Manor Home of an apparent heart attack.
Mr. Oberlitner was born in the state of Ohio on April 18, 1902.
He grew up in Colorado and later moved to Noel, Mo., where he had a machine and blacksmith shop.
He moved the business in 1954 to Southwest City, Mo.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Floy, in 1976, and a stepson.
Survivors include a stepdaughter, Pauline Fair, Gravette; nine grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.
The body will be cremated.
Memorial services will be at a later date.
Arrangements are under the direction of Burns Funeral Home, Bentonville.
Bob White
SULPHUR SPRINGS, Ark. - Bob White, 59, Sulphur Springs, died at 6:35 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 11, 1997, at his home after a long illness.
Mr. White was born Oct. 26, 1937, at Kennett, Mo.
He lived seven years at Sulphur Springs, moving from Antlers, Okla.
He was a forklift operator in steel production.
He was a member of First Baptist Church at Sulphur Springs.
He marriage Alice Freels on Aug. 18, 1961, at Carson City, Nev.
She survives.
Also surviving are three daughters, Cynthia Royal, Gretna, La., Terri Penn, Sulphur Springs, and Pamela Bartleson, Noel, Mo.; two sisters, June Flatt, Justice, Ill., and Peggy Carter, Lapeer, Mich.; and eight grandchildren.
Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Butler Creek Cemetery, Sulphur Springs.
The Rev. Bob Howard will officiate.
Visitation will be from noon to 8 p.m. today at Ozark Funeral Home at Noel.
Lucas Jackson
Lucas Allan Jackson, 18, Fort Smith, Ark., died Tuesday, Jan. 14, 1997, from injuries sustained in a traffic accident on Interstate 40 at Clarksville, Ark.
Mr. Jackson's grandfather lives in Joplin.
Mr. Jackson was born Sept. 7, 1978, at Fort Smith.
He was a senior at Southside High School, Fort Smith.
He was a starter for the school's football team and a pitcher for the baseball team.
He was a member of Cavanaugh Methodist Church, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, and was active in First United Methodist Church, all of Fort Smith.
Survivors include his parents, George "Buddy" Jr. and Kathy Jackson, of the home; maternal grandmother, Wilma Monast, Springfield; maternal grandfather, Albert Van Kooten, Oskaloosa, Iowa; paternal grandfather, George Jackson Sr., Joplin,; and a brother, George "Trey" Jackson III, Fort Smith.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at First United Methodist Church.
The Rev. Tom Hazelwood will officiate.
Pallbearers will be Zack Fair, Brooks Israel, Brent Carter, Brian Carter, Tyler Haggard, Travis Ligget, Toby Frazier and Mark Thompson.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Putnam Funeral Home, Fort Smith.
Contributions may be made to Fort Smith Boys Club, or to Fort Smith church baseball league, in care of the funeral home.
Agnes Alexander
Agnes M. Brown Alexander, 88, Fort Smith, Ark., formerly of Joplin, died Tuesday, Jan. 14, 1997, in a Fort Smith nursing home after an illness.
Mrs. Alexander was born Sept. 20, 1908, in Bryan County, Okla.
She was a homemaker.
She was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church, Fort Smith.
Surviving are two daughters, Patricia A. Tatro, Fort Smith, and Peggy Hurt, Nashville, Tenn.; two sisters, Pauline Perkins, Durant, Okla., and Lucille Vails, Oklahoma City, Okla.; a brother, J.D. Brown, Durant, Okla.; four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. today at Forest Park Cemetery, Fort Smith, under direction of Putnam Funeral Home, Fort Smith.

Mommie Glaser
BELLA VISTA, Ark. - Edith "Mommie" Glaser, 91, Bella Vista, died Monday, Dec. 16, 1996, at a Rogers nursing home after a long illness.
Mrs. Glaser was born April 10, 1905, in Miller County, Mo.
She moved to Bella Vista from Decatur in 1986.
She was a member of Bella Vista Baptist Church and a former member of First Baptist Church, Decatur.
She was an active volunteer for preschool children of both churches.
Her husband, Louis Glaser, died in 1960.
Survivors include a son, Charles "Chuck" Glaser, Bella Vista; three sisters, Jewel Carmody, Anderson, Mo., Jeanette Hedrick, Fort Smith, and Dorothy Landwehr, Bella Vista; 13 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Bella Vista Baptist Church.
The Rev. George O'Neil will officiate.
Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at Bella Vista Funeral Home.
