Wilma F. Williams
Wilma F. Williams, 87, of Berryville, died Tuesday, March 18, 2003, in Berryville.
She was born Jan. 30, 1916, in Waka, Texas, daughter of Austin Pearl and Ernestine (Woodhouse) Coleman.
She was a graduate of Waka High School.
She marriage George A. Pope, who preceded her in death.
She resided in San Isabel, Colo., for several years.
In 1962, she moved to Tucson, Ariz., and was employed by the University of Arizona.
In 1972, she marriage Ola Williams. She moved to Berryville in 1976.
She is survived by two nieces, Cheryl A. Weintraub of Midwest City, Okla., and Dr. Ann Hohmann of Skaggsville, Md.; two nephews, Michael R. Gibson of El Paso, Texas, and Dr. John W. Hohmann of Phoenix, Ariz.; her sister-in-law, Pauline Cook Hohmann of Tucson; and three great-nephews, Jason Weintraub of Tulsa, Okla., Daniel Weintraub of Dallas, Texas, and Paul Gibson of Captain Cook, Hawaii.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, George A. Pope; her second husband, Ola Ernest Williams; her parents, Austin and Ernestine Coleman; three brothers, Dr. George W. Hohmann, Melvin F. Coleman, and A.W. (Johnny) Coleman; and a sister, Mabel L. Gibson.
Funeral services were held on Saturday, March 22, at the Charles M. Nelson Memorial Chapel, with Bro. Ray Edwards officiating.
Interment followed in the Berryville Memorial Park Cemetery, under the direction of Nelson Funeral Service.
Geneva Bareika
GENEVA BAREIKA, 79, of Holiday Island, died May 18, 2003, at her home.
The daughter of Downey and Florence Watson Chaney, she was born Dec. 2, 1934, in Roswell, N.M.
She was preceded in death by one son, Joseph Bareika; two sisters, Geraldine and Christine; and her husband, Felix Bareika.
She is survived by her children, Nancy Pasquali, of Kenosha, Wisc., and Robert Bareika, of Kenosa, Wisc.; two grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter.
William Robert "Bob" Lynch
WILLIAM ROBERT "BOB" LYNCH, a resident of Berryville, Arkansas since 1948, was born February 6, 1927 near Clifty, Arkansas a son Isaac Thurman and Gladys Beryl (Potts) Lynch.
He died on Wednesday, May 21, 2003 in Berryville at the age of 76.
Bob enjoyed music and played with various bands in the area and had three bands of his own, including the Kings River Playboys, the Carroll County Accident and the Boston Mountain Playboys.
Until his retirement he was employed by Carroll Electric as a purchasing agent.
He was of the Baptist faith and attended Southern Heights Baptist Church.
On October 2, 1948 he was united in marriage with Dorothy (Hadley) Lynch who survives him.
He is also survived by his five children, Peggy and her husband Jerry Hermann of Diamond, Missouri, Jerry Lynch of Ft. Collins, Colorado, Eric and his wife Cathy Lynch of Mt. Pleasant, Texas, Susan and her husband, Fred Paine of Berryville, and Chris Lynch of Fayetteville, Arkansas; his sister, Iva and her husband, Tom Wheeler of Garfield, Arkansas; two brothers, Doyle and his wife Barbara Lynch of Berryville and Jack and his wife Melinda Lynch of Springdale, Arkansas; his sister-in-law, Mrs. Jackie Lynch of Pea Ridge, Arkansas; sixteen grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, James Buford "J.B." Lynch and a granddaughter, Margaret Helene Dunn.
Funeral services were held Saturday, May 24, 2003 at the Clifty Church in Clifty, Arkansas with Rev. Dean Smith and Rev. Dwayne Land officiating.
Interment followed in the Clifty Cemetery under the direction of Nelson Funeral Service.
Memorial donations may be made to the American Diabetes Foundation.
