Bessie McKown
Bessie Louise Anderson McKown, 76, of Russellville, formerly of Morrilton, died Thursday, March 29, 2001.
She was born Feb. 25, 1925, near Cleveland, a daughter of Arthur Anderson and Maggie DuVall Anderson. Mrs. McKown was a retired home health care provider, a member of the Living Church of God, and the widow of Elmer Edward McKown.
Survivors include three sons, Charles Ray Lee of Oklahoma City, Jimmy McKown and Michael Lynn McKown, both of Russellville; one daughter, Georgia Wallace of Russellville; two sisters, Dessie Hartman of Natchitoches, La., and Mildred Means of Booneville; 10 grandchildren, and 19 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were 10 a.m. Monday at Harris Chapel with the Rev. Davy Crockett officiating. Burial was a Elmwood Cemetery by Harris Funeral Home of Morrilton.
Pallbearers were Tony Rogers, David Lambert, Robbie McKown, Chris McKown, Tony Lee, and Charlie Lee Jr.
Catherine Nord
Catherine Nagel Nord, 91, of Dallas, formerly of Morrilton, died Monday, March 26, 2001.
She was born Nov. 24, 1909, in Bigelow, a daughter of Joseph and Veronica Hess Nagel. Ms. Nord was a retired seamstress and was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and Altar Society.
Survivors include two sons, Doug Nord of Dallas, and Harold Nord of Costa Mesa, Calif.; two daughters, Patricia Sutton of Costa Mesa, Calif., and Kathleen Baker of Morrilton; 10 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.
Rosary was 8 p.m. Thursday at the Harris Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral Mass was 10 a.m. Friday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Father Charles Thessing officiating. Burial was at Sacred Heart Cemetery by Harris Funeral Home of Morrilton.
Pallbearers were Ray Hoyt, Ed Hoyt, Chris Riedmueller, and Justin Riedmueller.
Larnie Allen
Larnie C. Allen, 72, of Conway died Saturday, March 31, 2001.
He was born Sept. 14, 1928, in Conway, a son of William and Pearl Thrower Allen. He was a construction worker for Allen’s Concrete. He was an Army veteran and member of Mt. Sinai Church of God in Christ.
Survivors include two daughters, Delores Allen and DeWanna Allen, both of Detroit; two brothers, Jessie Allen and Ezell Allen, both of Conway; one sister, Essie Bohannon, Tulsa, Okla.; two grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Friday at Mt. Sinai Church of God in Christ by Elder Earnest Sweet III and Elder James Johnson. Burial will be at Ray Cemetery by Larry G. Acklin Funeral Home, Conway.
Pallbearers will be Jimmy Ray, Bobby Ray, Ben Ray, Lloyd Lasker, Glenn Lewis, and Clarence Lasker.
Visitation is 2-6 p.m. Thursday at Larry G. Acklin Funeral Home, Conway.
Carmol Stull
Carmol “Connie” Stull, age 66, of Morrilton, Arkansas, died Monday, April 2, 2001.
She was born April 6, 1934, in Wichita, Kansas, a daughter of Ned and Julia Adair Smith. Mrs. Stull retired after 20 years at Kroger where she was the deli manager and was a member of Morrilton Christian Center.
Survivors include her husband, James Keith Stull; daughters, Serena Garner of Morrilton and Staci Stull of Boston, Massachusetts; brother, Sam Smith of Perryville; sisters, Dixie Allphin and Lova Freeman, both of Morrilton, and Rena Cole of Red Bluff, California; and grandson, Cody Garner of Shawnee, Oklahoma.
Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Thursday, April 5, at the Harris Chapel with the Rev. Larry Miller officiating. Burial will be at Harmony Cemetery by Harris Funeral Home of Morrilton.
The family will receive friends from 7-8 p.m. Wednesday, April 4, at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Altas Smith, Scott Littlefield, Bill Rust, Bronc Trotter, Barry Cole, Lloyd Bennett, Barry Cole, and Cody Garner.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Morrilton Christian Center.
