Theodore Kelm
Theodore Paul Kelm, 75, of Morrilton, died Tuesday, Aug. 15, 2000.
He was born Sept. 24, 1924, in Wichita Falls, Texas, a son of Joseph Franklin Kelm and Agnes Belote Williams. Mr. Kelm was a World War II Navy veteran and was retired from Otis Elevator Co. He was a Mason and was of the Methodist faith.
Survivors include his wife, Jacqueline Reese Kelm; two sons, Michael Paul Kelm of Shiro, Texas, and Charles Earl Kelm of Perryville; one daughter, Nikki Joyce Hadley of League City, Texas; six grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren.
Graveside service was 10 a.m. Friday at Elmwood Cemetery with Bro. Sonny Stone officiating.
Pallbearers were Bill Lampkin, Forrest Griswood, Harold Thomey, Roger Young, Leon Martin, Otto Lienhart, James Ward, and Bruce Hawkins. Arrangements were by Harris Funeral Home of Morrilton.
Donnie Delong
Donnie Alvis Delong, 51, of Morrilton, died Friday, Aug. 18, 2000.
He was born July 19, 1949, in Center Ridge, a son of Alvis Leroy Delong and Ellen Faye Brown Delong. Mr. Delong was in the National Guard and was a transport driver for Hagans Dodge.
Survivors include his wife, Rosie Settlemire Delong; two sons, David Anthony Delong and Carroll Delong, both of Bryant; six daughters, Donna Peters of Oklahoma, Cheryl Smith of Bryant, Tina Buckner of Des Arc, and Vicki Hodge, Robin Cloninger, and Latisha Holcomb, all of Morrilton; two sisters, Joyce Brockway of Center Ridge and Teresa Anderson of Wichita, Kan., and five grandchildren.
Graveside service was 2 p.m. Monday at Lanty Cemetery with the Rev. Ester Bass officiating. Arrangements were by Harris Funeral Home of Morrilton.
Cecil Johnson
Cecil Leroy Johnson, age 82, of Morrilton, died Friday, August 18, 2000.
He was born August 10, 1918, in Center Ridge, Arkansas, a son of Vasco Johnson and Ethel Rainey Johnson. Mr. Johnson was a member of the Harding Street Church of Christ and worked for the Morrilton Street Department.
Survivors include his wife, Clara Belle Williams Johnson; stepson, Drew Kissire of Montrose, Colorado; two daughters, Martha Widner of Cleveland, Arkansas, and Margaret Earnhart of Missouri; one sister, Myrtle O’Brien of Morrilton; 10 grandchildren, and 11 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Callie Mae Johnson; one daughter, Mary Hogue; one brother, and five sisters.
Funeral services were 10 a.m., Monday, August 21, at the Harris Funeral Home Chapel with Mr. Charles Bane officiating. Burial was at Grandview Cemetery by Harris Funeral Home of Morrilton.
Pallbearers were Jody Sams, David Bartlett, Andrew Williams, Tom Nelson, Ed Hart, and Steve Earnhart.
Peggy Sharp
Peggy C. Sharp, 64, of Yellville died Tuesday, August 22, 2000.
She was born Dec. 15, 1935, in Oppelo, a daughter of Ervin and Juanita Rudkin. She was a member of the Yellville First Baptist Church, Christian Women Society, Yellville First Baptist Heart-to-Heart Organization, Sunday School teacher, and LifeLine Baptist Church in Mabelvale.
Survivors include her husband, R.J. “Bob” Sharp; one son, Michael A. “Tony” Sharp, of Fontana, Calif.; one daughter, Robyn Archey, of Yellville; three brothers, Bill Rudkin of Mabelvale, Bryon Rudkin of Brazoria, Texas, and Randy Rudkin of West Palm Beach, Fla.; and five grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Thursday at Yellville First Baptist Church by the Rev. Bill Philliben and the Rev. Tim Cypert. Burial will be at Layton Cemetery by Burns Funeral Home, Inc.
Pallbearers will be Jake Sharp, Chris Kruse, Jeff Kruse, Derek Rudkin, Chris Rudkin, and Greg Rudkin. Honorary pallbearers will be Tony Sharp, Steve Archey, and David Jones. Memorials may be made to Yellville First Baptist Church, P.O. Box 466, Yellville, Ark. 72687, or the American Cancer Society.
Visitation will be tonight (Wednesday), 6 to 8 p.m. at Burns Funeral Home in Yellville.
