Clytee Shumpert
Clytee Griffin Shumpert, 95, died Tuesday, November 23, at the North
Miss. Medical Center in Tupelo.
She was a resident of Nettleton, formerly of Lee County. She was a
retired LPN, having worked for Dr. Antone Tannehill and was also
employed for many years by Glen Manufacturing Co. in Amory. She was a
member of the Nettleton United Methodist Church. Her hobbies included
storytelling, reading, crocheting and fishing.
She is survived by a daughter, Arcada "Katy" Wilson of Marianna; three
sons, Dale Shumpert of Fulton, Haskell Shumpert of Nettleton and Oliver
Lee Shumpert of Fulton; nine grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and
three great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, F.C. Shumpert; three
grandchildren, Butch, Jeff and Sheryl Lynn Shumpert; four brothers, Tup,
Pund, Gordon and Jess Griffin and two sisters, Nevada McFarling and
Yettie Stewart.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, November 24, at 2:30 p.m., at the
Chapel of Lee Memorial Funeral Home with Rev. Aubrey Boren and Rev. J.C.
Christian officiating. Burial followed at the Chapel of Faith Mausoleum
in Lee Memorial Park.
Pallbearers were Barry, Kirk and Dallas Shumpert, Gary Barnes, Shane
Schlicht and Mac McGhin.
Arrangements were handled by Lee Memorial Funeral Home.
Bob White
Bob White, 78, died Monday, November 22, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in
Forrest City.
He was a resident of Moro and a farmer. He also was an avid fisherman.
He is survived by his wife, Allene White of Moro; and one sister, Ruby
Lee of Stuttgart.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank Ira and Beadie McCanless
White.
Graveside services were held Wednesday, November 24, at Memorial Park
Cemetery in Marianna with Rev. Robert May officiating.
Arrangements were handled by Fowler Funeral Home of Brinkley.
Kathleen Waller
Kathleen "Kathy" Boyer Waller, 58, died Friday, December 4, in her home.
She was a resident of Plaquemines County and an industrial engraver.
She is survived by her husband, James E. "Sweetie" Waller of Belle
Chasse, LA; two daughters, Patty Gray of West Memphis and Julie Britton
of Philadelphia; five sisters, Ann Stiles of Hernando, Doris Jones of
Jacksonville, AR, Dorothy Spence of Fayetteville, N.C, Janie Heflin of
Memphis and Carrie Eddleman of Aubrey; two brothers, Henry Boyer of
Marianna and John Boyer of Aubrey; and four grandchildren, Tara and
Nicholas Britton and Holly and Laralee Gray.
Graveside services were held Monday, December 7, at 2:30 p.m. at
Marianna Memorial Park with Rev. Danny Rogers officiating.
Arrangements were handled by Roller-Citizens Funeral Home.
George Fisher
George Fisher, 79, died Saturday, November 28, in his home.
He was a resident of Lee County and a member of St. John M.B. Church in
Felton. He also was a veteran of World War II, Corporal 2528th Army Air
Force Base Unit Army of the United States.
He is survived by one brother, Bro. Ellison Fisher of Chicago; one
sister, Sis. Carrie Ellis of Marianna; one niece, Sis. Donna Freeman;
eight nephews and fourteen nieces.
He was preceeded in death by two brothers and six sisters.
Funeral services were held Saturday, December 5, at 11 a.m. at St. John
M.B. Church in Felton with Rev. Spencer Brown officiating. Burial
followed at St. John Cemetery in Felton.
Pallbearers were Steven Ester, Marcus Porter, DeAngelo Parker, Larenco
Lee, Derrick Freeman and Brenton Ellis.
Honorary pallbearers were deacons of the St. John M.B. Church.
Arrangements were handled by Hightower and Sons Funeral Home.
Tommie Brown
Tommie Edgar Brown, 74, died Tuesday, November 24, in his home.
He was a farmer and a veteran of the Marines. He also was a member of
Petty's Chapel Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Imogene Brown of Marianna; his mother, Alvie
Brown of Marshall, AR; one son, Tommie E. Brown, Jr. of Helena; two
daughters, Becky Anderson of Ladson, S.C. and Gloria Kummer of Barton;
three brothers, Bob Brown of Marshall, Charlie Brown of Marianna and
Jimmy Brown of Marked Tree; seven grandchildren and six great
grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Saturday, November 28, at Roller-Citizens
Funeral Home Chapel at 11 a.m. Burial followed at LaGrange Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Royce Webb, Donald Webb, Norris Webb, Shane Webb, Phil
Kapales and Thomas Burns.

Bessie Ola Moore
Mrs. Bessie Ola Moore, 88, died Friday, November 27, in Little Rock.
She is survived by one daughter, Earlie Mae Cartwright of Holly Grove;
one sister-in-law, Neveda Glass, also of Holly Grove; 11 grandchildren;
45 great-grandchildren and 16 great- great- grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, December 2, at 12 p.m. at St. John
M.B. Church in Holly Grove. Burial followed at New Hope Cemetery.

Henry Hutcherson
Mr. Henry Hutcherson, 89, died Thursday, November 26, in Forrest City.
He is survived by his wife, Lucy Hutcherson of Marianna; two daughters,
Allene Johnson and Fannie Mae Dickerson, both of Gary, IN; one
stepdaughter, Elnora Jones of Ohio; one stepson, Leon Smith of Marianna;
one brother, Eddie Hutcherson of Cleveland; four grandchildren; 20
great- grandchildren and nine great- great- grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, December 5, at Paradise #1 M.B.
Church. Burial will follow at Pilgrim Cemetery.
Visitation will be Friday, December 4, from 11 a.m.- 5 p.m. at J.E.
Kennedy Funeral Home in Marianna.

Marcus Beanum
Bro. Marcus Beanum, 17, died Sunday, November 22.
He was a resident of Widener and a student at Forrest City High School.
He also was a member of the Shady Grove M.B. Church.
He is survived by his parents, Edward and Sharon Jimmerson of Widener;
two sisters, Carmelia Fields of Chicago and Alisha Jimmerson of Widener;
one brother, Eric Jimmerson; two grandmothers, Dorothy Beanum of Forrest
City and Elsie Jimmerson of Brickeys; one grandfather, George Johnson of
Memphis; and his godparents, Charles and Ruthie Brown.
Funeral services were held Saturday, November 28, at 1 p.m. at Pilgrim
Rest Christian Church with Rev. Samuel Beason officiating. Burial
followed at Pilgrim Rest Christian Cemetery.

Mabel Harding Utley, 92, died Wednesday, November 5, in Sulphur, La.
She was a native of Aubrey. She also was employed by the White House of
Beaumont, TX for 20 years and was a member of the Vidor, TX, Methodist
Church.
She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Marlyss Ann Sprigg of Sulphur; one
sister, Mrs. Fannie Lyde Perkins of Macon, Miss.; five grandchildren and
eight great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Saturday, November 7, at 2 p.m. at Sulphur
Memorial Funeral Home with Ron Hampsten officiating. Burial followed at
Restlawn Memorial Cemetery in Vidor, TX.
