Bill Dean
Bill J. Dean, 62, of Plainview died Thursday, Dec. 6, 2001.
He was born Jan. 11, 1939, in Perryville to Jethro and Berdie Rorie Dean.
He was a forklift driver for Northwest Timber in Plainview and a member of the Hilltop Church of God.
Survivors include his wife, Ida Bowen Dean; four sons, Kenneth Knight of Rover, Timmy Knight of Plainview, Robert Knight of Nimrod and Billy Dean of Oregon; two daughters, Kimberly Dean of Oregon and Teresa Harrison of Houston; a sister, Betty Jo Johnson of Jacksonville, 15 grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were Saturday at 2 p.m. at Cornwell Chapel, Danville, with Sis. Dorothy Stewart and Bro. Tim Via officiating.
Interment was in Salem Cemetery, Plainview, by Cornwell Funeral Home, Danville.
Pallbearers were Joe Dishongh, Jimmy Norwood, Josh Emery, John Dean, Nicholas Knight, and Charlie Dean.
Honorary pallbearers were Jeremy Knight, Junior Dean, Rickey Johnson, Ray Morrow, Kenneth Grant, and Tom Branch.

Opal Smith
Opal Bradley Smith, 85, of McGehee, died Wednesday, Dec. 5, 2001 in El Dorado.
She was born Sept. 15, 1916, in Morrilton, the daughter of Adam A. Bradley and Mary Rebecca Hall Bradley.
Mrs. Smith was the widow of Jack Smith.
She was a member of the First United Methodist Church.
Survivors include two sisters, Juanita Bradley Davis and Mary Bradley Ross, both of Russellville; and foster daughter, Brenda Knight of El Dorado.
Graveside service was Friday 2 p.m. at Elmwood Cemetery under the direction of Harris Funeral Home.
Memorials may be made to American Heart Association, Arkansas office, P. O. Box 1610, Little Rock, Ark. 72203, or the charity of your choice.

Azilee Nichols
Azilee Nichols, 85, of Stuttgart, formerly of Perry County, died Wednesday, Dec. 5, 2001.
Survivors include two sons, Charles Nichols of Maumelle and Gary Nichols of Stuttgart; one daughter, Doris Jones of Greensboro, N.C.; three sisters, Trudy Greer of Indianapolis, Ind., Ruby Thompson of Buena Park, Calif., and Pearlee Dennis of El Dorado; seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were 10 a.m. Saturday at North Little Rock Funeral Home Chapel.
Burial was at Volman Cemetery.

Marie Grable
Marie Grable, 79, of Houston, died Sunday, Feb. 3, 2002.
She was born Jan. 12, 1923, in Hollis, a daughter of Dewey and Lela Crites Jones.
She was the widow of Alfred L. Grable, and member of Perryville Assembly of God.
Survivors include one sister, Lucille Yates of Hot Springs.
Graveside services were 2 p.m. Monday, Feb.4, 2002, at Perryville Cemetery with Pastor Wayne Hodge officiating. Arrangements were by Harris Funeral Home of Morrilton.
Pallbearers were Richard Youngman, Travis Camp, Richard Jones, Ray Jones, Jimmy Dixon, and Randy May.
