James B. Kelly, 99, of Ozark, died Saturday, July 28, 2001, at Ozark Nursing Home. Funeral services were Tuesday at 10 a.m. at Shaffer Funeral Home Chapel. Burial was at Highland Cemetery.

David Pritchett
David Pritchett, 79, of Charleston, died Wednesday, July 25, 2001, in a Fort Smith hospital. Funeral services were Friday at 2 p.m. at Smith Mortuary Chapel, Charleston, with burial at Garden of Memories Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.

Colton Dean Chrisman
Colton Dean Chrisman, infant son of Kara and Adam Chrisman of Clarksville, died Thursday, July 25, 2001. Graveside services were held Saturday at Oakland Cemetery in Clarksville, under the direction of Hardwicke Funeral Home. Area survivors include his grandparents, Merrie and Bill Chrisman of Hartman; great-grandparents, Babe and Leo Chrisman of Hartman, and great-great-grandfather, Orville Marvel of Hartman.

Mabel D. Jones
Mabel D. Jones, 89, of Coal Hill, died Friday, July 27, 2001, at Johnson Regional Medical Center, Clarksville. Funeral services were Monday at 10 a.m. at Roller-Cox Chapel, Clarksville. The body will be cremated.

Celesta Arminta White
Celesta Arminta White, 63, of Charleston, died Saturday, July 28, 2001, in her home. Funeral services were at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Shaffer Funeral Home Chapel. Burial was at Hixon Cemetery, near Ozark.

Norman Kelly Brandenburg
Norman Kelly Brandenburg, 69, of Witter, died Wednesday, July 25, 2001, at the Northwest Medical Center in Springdale. Funeral services were Saturday at 10 a.m. at Brashear's Funeral Home, with burial at Captain Smith Cemetery, under the direction of Brashears.

Albert Lee Stovall, Jr.
Albert Lee Stovall, Jr., 44, of Denning, died Monday, July 30, 2001, at Mercy Hospital/Turner Memorial. Funeral services will be Thursday at 10 a.m. at Full Gospel temple Church. Burial will be at Liberty Cemetery near Altus, under the direction of Shaffer Funeral Home. The family will visit with friends Wednesday evening from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Ijuana Baber
Ijuana Baber, 63, of Mulberry, died Monday, Oct. 22, 2001, in her home. She was a special education teacher for the Mulberry School District. Graveside services were Friday at 2 p.m. at Dyer Cemetery, under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home of Van Buren.

J. Mike Sharum
J. Mike Sharum, 91, of Fort Smith, died Tuesday, Oct. 23, 2001, in an area nursing home. He was a retired farmer, past Farm Bureau Farmer of the Year and a member of St. Boniface Catholic Church. He was the brother of Father Peter Sharum, O.S.B., of Charleston. Rosary was recited Friday at 7 p.m. at Putman Funeral Home. Mass was Saturday at 10 a.m. at St. Boniface Catholic Church, with burial at Holy Cross Cemetery in Fort Smith. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Boniface School, 201 N. 19th Street, Fort Smith, AR 72901.

Ruth Evelyn Sherrell
Ruth Evelyn Sherrell, 68, of Tulsa, Okla., died Saturday, Oct. 27, 2001. She was a member of First Assembly of God Church in Sand Springs and was retired from Cloth World, where she was employed as a sales associate and craft consultant. She was the widow of Brooklyn Sherrell. Funeral services were Tuesday at 10 a.m. at First Assembly of God in Sand Springs. Graveside services were at 4:30 p.m. at Sherrellville Cemetery, with arrangements by Mobley-Dodson Funeral Home.

Susan Rebecca Roberson
Susan Rebecca Roberson, 24, of Lamar, died Friday, Oct. 28, 2001, at the University of Arkansas Medical Center in Little Rock. She was an employee of the Johnson County Health Department and a Pentecostal. Graveside services were at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Holman Cemetery, Lamar, under the direction of Roller-Cox Funeral Home.

Ola Mae Kinney
Ola Mae Kinney, 75, of Ozark, the widow of James Douglas Kinney, died Sunday, Oct. 28, 2001, in a Fort Smith hospital. She was a retired restaurant cook and a member of the Union Assembly of God. Funeral services will be Wednesday, Oct. 31, at 2 p.m. at the Assembly of God Church in Roseville. Burial will be at McVay Cemetery, west of Paris, under the direction of Smith Mortuary of Charleston.

Onella G. Kirby
Onella G. Kirby, 88, of Altus died Thursday, Oct. 25, 2001, at Mercy Hospital/Turner Memorial. She was a homemaker and a member of Grenades Chapel Church. Graveside services were Saturday at 2 p.m. at Harmon Cemetery, under the direction of Shaffer Funeral Home.

Ad Oral Highfield
Ad Oral Highfield, 95, of Fort Smith, formerly of Altus/Ozark area, died Saturday, Oct. 27, 2001, in a Fort Smith hospital. She was a homemaker and a member of the First Baptist Church of Ozark. Graveside services were Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Still Cemetery in Clarksville, under the direction of Shaffer Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to First Baptist Church of Ozark.

Carl Lee Hobbs
Carl Lee Hobbs, 87, of Lindsay, Calif., formerly of Franklin County, died Sunday, Oct. 21, 2001, in Lindsay. He was a resident of Tulare County area for 66 years and farmed in the Lindsay/Strathmore/Exeter areas and owned a store in Plainview before his retirement. He was the brother of the late Velma Alston of Ozark. Graveside services were Friday at 2 p.m. at Woodville Cemetery, Woodville, Calif. Burial was under the direction of Myers Funeral Service of Porterville.
