ALLAN STURDIVANT - 46, of Ozark, died Monday, Dec. 12, 2001, at St. Edward Mercy medical Center of injuries sustained on Dec. 2.
Survivors include his wife, Donna Smith Sturdivant; two daughters, Dana and Breanna of the home; his parents, Kenneth and Zenith Sturdivant of Ozark; two sisters, Brenda Beard and Rhonda Dutton, bot of Ozark; a brother, T.L. Sturdivant of Ozark; and his grandfather, Russell Hall of Elk City, Okla.
Funeral services will be Thursday at 10 a.m. at the Free Will Baptist Church with Rev. Terry Schlinker and Rev. Eddie Jones officiating. Burial will be at Hickory Grove Cemetery.
JEWELL MCILROY
JEWELL MCILROY - 90, died Monday, Dec. 10, at her home.
Survivors include a daughter, Dena Ansley, of Dallas, Texas; a sister, Euleta Reeves of Ozark; six grandsons, three granddaughters, 22 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren. A daughter-in-law, Maxine McIlroy, resided with her.
Funeral services will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. at Shaffer Funeral Home Chapel with burial at Highland Cemetery.
Louis D. `Luke' Peyton, Jr.
Louis D. `Luke' Peyton, Jr., five, of Maumelle, died last week in Perry County. He was a kindergarten student at Crystal Hills Elementary. His mother, Amber Roach, resides in Ozark. Funeral services will be Wednesday at 12 noon at Roller-Chenal Funeral Home in Little Rock. Burial will be at Riverwood Memorial Gardens, Maumelle. Louis D. `Lou' Peyton, Sr.
Louis D. `Lou' Peyton, Sr., 34, of Maumelle, died last week in Perry County. A native of Jacksonville, he was a graduate of Monticello High School and the University of Arkansas at Little Rock. Funeral services will be at 12 noon Wednesday at Roller-Chenal Funeral Home Chapel, Little Rock, with burial at Riverwood Memorial Gardens, Maumelle. Raymond G. Gaines
Raymond G. Gaines, 72, of Ozark, died Monday, Jan. 28, 2002, at Mercy Hospital/Turner Memorial. He was a retired painter for the Boeing Company and a member of Colonial Assembly of God Church in Wichita, Kan. Funeral services will be Thursday at 2 p.m. at Shaffer Funeral Home Chapel, with burial at Williams Cemetery in Johnson County.
Kendall L. Dixon
Kendall L. Dixon, 80, of Lamar, died Thursday, Jan. 24, 2002, at Lamar. He was a Baptist, a lay minister of Catalpa, Yale and Oark, and a member of the Mulberry Lodge and Mulberry Valley Grange. Graveside services were held Monday at 10 a.m. at Case Cemetery, Fallsville, with burial under the direction of Roller-Cox Funeral Home.
Buster Herbert Harris
Buster Herbert Harris, 83, of Hartman, died Sunday, Jan. 27, 2002, at Russellville Nursing Center. He was a union laborer, a Pentecostal and a member of the VFW and Laborers Local 107. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 10 a.m. at Roller-Cox Chapel, Clarksville. Burial will be at Hartman Cemetery.
Thomas `Tom' Yarbrough, 94, of Clarksville, died Thursday, Jan. 24, 2002, at the Ozark Nursing Home. He was a retired farmer and timber worker and was the widower of Pearl Yarbrough. Funeral services were Saturday at 2 p.m. at Hardwicke Funeral Home Chapel in Clarksville, with burial at Sherman Cemetery.
Josie Emaline Willis Robinson
Josie Emaline Willis Robinson, 95, of Clarksville, died Sunday, Jan. 27, 2002, at Clarksville. She was a homemaker and a member of the Assembly of God. Among area survivors include a son, Lawrence Robinson of Coal Hill. The funeral will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Roller-Cox Chapel, Clarksville, with burial at Porter Cemetery in Hunt.

Nancy K. Nichols, 76, of Ozark, died Wednesday, Jan. 23, 2002, at Ozark Nursing Home. She was a member of First Christian Church of Ozark. Survivors include a brother, James W. Nichols, of Ozark. Funeral services were held Friday at 2 p.m. at Shaffer Funeral Home Chapel. Memorials may be made to the First Christian Church of Ozark.

Euticha Parker, 81, of Van Buren, died Wednesday, Jan. 23, 2002, in the Van Buren hospital. She was a homemaker and a Protestant. Survivors include a daughter, Alfreda Covert of Altus. Funeral services were Saturday at 10 a.m. at Shaffer Funeral Home Chapel. Burial was at Jackson Cemetery.
Robert Houston Brewer
Robert Houston Brewer, 34, of Mountainburg, died Tuesday, Jan. 22, 2002, at his home. He was a Whirlpool employee, a member of River Valley Off Road and a lifetime member of the National Rifle Association. He was born in Ozark, to Robert and Betty Patterson Brewer of Mountainburg. Graveside services were held Monday at 2 p.m. at New Cemetery, Mulberry, with burial under the direction of Shaffer Funeral Home of Mulberry.
Earl Dean Williams
Earl Dean Williams, 60, of Ozark, died Saturday, Jan. 26, 2002, in a Fort Smith hospital. He was a Baptist and a retired employee of National Automatic Sprinkler Industry. The funeral will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Cecil Methodist Church, with burial at Cecil Cemetery, under the direction of Shaffer Funeral Home.

Warren Guy Conley, 80, a lifelong resident of Ozark, died Sunday, Jan. 27,2002, at Mercy Hospital/Turner Memorial. Cremation was under the direction of Shaffer Funeral Home. There will be no service.

Melvin Harden, 72, of Altus, died Thursday, Jan. 24, 2002, at Johnson Regional Medical Center, Clarksville. He was a retired knife sharpener for Tyson and a Methodist. Funeral services were Monday at 10 a.m. at Shaffer Funeral Home Chapel. Burial was at Jackson Cemetery.
Earl Jackson
Earl Jackson, 81, of Chehalis, Wash., died Tuesday, Jan. 22, 2002, at his home. He was a World War II veteran of the U.S. Army Air Corps, a retired supervisor with Goodyear Tire and Rubber plant, having worked 35 years in Los Angeles and Chehalis. He attended Napavine Assembly of God. Among his survivors is a sister, Alpha Johnston of Ozark. Funeral services were Saturday at Lighthouse Community Church, Chehalis, with burial in Grand Mound Cemetery, Rochester, Wash. Delorne Lavaughn Harman
Delorne Lavaughn Harman, 52, of Fort Smith, died Tuesday, Jan. 22, 2002, in a one-vehicle accident near St. Paul. He was a carpenter, a United States Army veteran and a Jehovah's Witness. Among his survivors are two sons, Delorne L. Harman Jr. and Maken Wade Harman, both of Altus; and a sister, Eula Jean Stacy of Ozark. Graveside services were held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Patrick Cemetery. Cremation was under the direction of Brashear's Funeral Home of Huntsville.
