Oralee Bryant Leslie, age 77, of Hot Springs, died Friday, November 21, at St. Joseph"s Hospital. Born August 12, 1926 in Fordyce, AR, a daughter of the late Orie E. Bryant and Lennie Porter Bryant She was a retired math and chemistry teacher serving in the Drew Central, Pine Bluff Dollarway and Pine Bluff High School school systems, a graduate of Henderson State University earning her B.S.E. and M.S.E., a member First Presbyterian Church, Pine Bluff and Delta Kappa Gamma teaching sorority. She married Willis "Convoy" Leslie on August 25, 1948 and he died March 10, 1998. Preceding her in death was a granddaughter Tara Leslie Kortenber. Survivors are 1 son Rev. William "Bill" Leslie and spouse Brenda, Hot Springs; 1 sister Olga Bryant Boles, Nacogdoches, Texas; 2 grandchildren Dr. Brooke Leslie Whisenhunt and spouse Blaine, Springfield, MO., LT.jg Kyle Porter Leslie and spouse Misty, Corpus Christi, Texas; 1 great-grandchild Ashton Brett Leslie, Corpus Christi, Texas; brother-in-law Kenneth Leslie and spouse Charlotte, Texarkana, Texas; sister-in-law Dorothy Leslie, Springdale, Ark.; 2 Nieces Lynn Boles Howell, Nacogdoches,Texas and Robin Boles Ellis, Coldwater, Michigan; 2 great-nephews, 1 great-niece and 1 great-great nephew. Graveside services were 10:00 a.m. Friday November 28, Oakland Cemetery in Fordyce with Rev. Bill Leslie officiating. Arrangements by Frazer's Funeral Home of Warren. Active pallbearers were Blaine Whisenhunt, Tim Howell, John Howell, Chris Howell, Steve Ellis and Jeff Adams.

Lydia Mae Walker, age 93, of Warren, died Wednesday, December 3, at Countrywood Estates in Monticello. Born March 23, 1910 in Cleveland County, a daughter of the late George Allen Taylor and Florence Jeffers Taylor she was a homemaker, member Calvary Baptist Church and the widow of Ben Walker who died April 17, 1972. Also, preceding her in death were brothers Leroy Taylor, Lester Taylor, Carl Taylor; sisters Lizzie Parrott, Stella Wherry and Dora Drake. There are no immediate survivors. Funeral services were 3:30 p.m. Thursday December 4, at Frazer's Chapel with Rev. T. Don White officiating. Paige Grider was organist and soloist were Marlin and Donna Raines. Burial was in Shady Grove Cemetery near New Edinburg by Frazer's Funeral Home. Active pallbearers were Bobby Taylor, Tommy Taylor, James Allen Taylor, Gary Grider, Bob Powell and Cecil Carmical. Honorary pallbearers were Curley Cathey, Bobby Ballentine, Buddy Weeks and Vera Weeks.

Pauline Furgerson Garrett, age 83, of Warren, died Wednesday, December 3, at Bradley County Medical Center in Warren. Born February 3, 1920 at Tinsman, AR, a daughter of the late Bill Furgerson and Barbara Davis Furgerson she was a homemaker, former employee of Jack Winter, Sykes Flooring, member First Baptist Church and the widow of Kermit E. Garrett. Also, preceded in death by brothers Raymond Furgerson and Ray Furgerson. Survivors are 1 son Rick Garrett and spouse Lynn of Pensacola, FL. 1 daughter Sandra Garrett Earhart and spouse Larry of Toccoa, GA., 2 sisters Irene Smith of Conway and Lou Henley of Norphlet, AR. 3 grandchildren Garratt Earhart of Toccoa, GA, Katherine Earhart of Toccoa, GA and Matthew Garrett of Tallahassee, FL. 2 sisters-in-law Earline Ferrell and spouse Earnie of Godfrey Place, AR. and Helen Furgerson of Little Rock. Several nieces and nephews. Funeral services were 1:30 p.m. Friday December 5, Frazer's Chapel with Rev. Greg Stanley officiating. June Bierbaum was organist. Rex Edward Hammons, age 88, of Warren, died Wednesday, December 3, at Wagnon Place Nursing Home in Warren. Born December 17, 1914 in Warren, a son of the late Arthur C. Hammons and Columbia Christine Robertson Hammons he was a retired boilermaker, member Local # 69 in Little Rock, World War II Army veteran and the widower of Irene Muriel Jackson Hammons who died January 7, 1996. Also, preceding him in death were brothers Robert A. Hammons and Pat Hammons and sisters Virginia Burnett and Grace Benton, a grandchild Michael Shane Hammons. Survivors are 4 sons Edward Arthur Hammons of Warren, Robert Hammons of Warren, Thomas L. Hammons of Little Rock and Michael A. Hammons of Warren. 1 daughter Darelyn Grider of Warren. 7 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. Very special friends Pete and Shirley Godwin of Warren. Funeral services were 10:00 a.m. Friday December 5, at Frazer's Chapel with Rev. Wayman Mann officiating. Burial with full military honors was in Oakland Cemetery by Frazer's Funeral Home. Joe Travis Taylor

Joe Travis Taylor, age 85, of Rye, Arkansas, died Saturday, November 22, at Bradley County Medical Center. He was born September 19, 1918 in Bradley County, Arkansas, a son of the late Robert Bob Taylor and Ethel Pate Taylor. He served in the US Army 32nd Division in the southwest pacific during World War II, was a life long farmer and active member of Harmony Freewill Baptist Church. Surviving is his wife Flossie G. Bradley Taylor whom he married on November 29, 1954 at Hampton, Arkansas; 5 sons Joe Taylor and spouse Martie, Monticello, Ark., Tim Taylor and spouse Teresa, Rye, Ark., Bob Taylor, Rye, Ark., Edward Johnston and spouse Darcie, Rye, Ark. and Johnny Wayne Johnston and spouse Marshean, Logansport, La.; 2 daughters Glenda Johnston Proctor, Taylor, Tex. and Patricia Johnston Athey and spouse Leonard, DeQueen, Ark.; 1 brother J. C. Taylor, Rye, Ark.; 1 sister Tommie "Bill" Rhodes, Rye, Ark.; 16 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by 3 sisters Vera Teague, Erma Peters and Helen Shepherd and a grandchild L. J. Athey. Funeral services were 10:00 am Monday, November 24, at Harmony Freewill Baptist Church by Rev. Victor Hunter and Rev. Bennie McKinney. Tracy Nichols played. Burial was in Union Cemetery at Rye by Frazer's Funeral Home of Warren. Carl Prather Hargis, age 76, of Johnsville, Arkansas, died Monday November 24, at home. He was born May 13, 1927 at Ingalls, Arkansas, a son of the late Lum Hargis and Maude Kitchel Hargis.. He served in the U. S. Air Corp in World War II, was the retired owner of Hargis Grocery at Johnsville and a member of Calvary Presbyterian Church. He married Joyce Ferrell on December 25, 1948 and she died July 20, 1995. Surviving are 4 sons Kerry Hargis, Bearden, Ark., Larry Hargis, Monticello, Ark., Kim Hargis, Warren, Ark. and Reggie Hargis, Hermitage, Ark.; 2 brothers Rev. Cloyce Hargis, Hamburg, Ark., and Hurley Hargis, Hermitage, Ark.; 1 sister Ruthie Mae Jackson, Warren, Ark.; 8 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son Rodney Hargis and a brother William C. Hargis. Funeral services were 1:30 pm Wednesday, November 26, at Calvary Presbyterian Church by Rev. Wayman Mann. Charles Cauley played and sang. . Burial was in Calvary Cemetery at Johnsville by Frazer's Funeral Home. Active pallbearers were Clay Lowry, Lance Ferrell, Eddie Ferrell, Danny Rainey, Casey Hargis, Sonny Rainey, Scott Sloan and Jeremy Hargis, Honorary pallbearers were Earnie Ferrell, Billy Ferrell and Donny Lowry.
Ellis Thomas Clanton
Ellis Thomas Clanton, age 61, husband of Mrs. Robbie Williams Clanton of Warren, died Friday, March 28, 1975, in the tornado.
He was born May 10, 1913, at Vick, a son of the late grover Cleveland and Frances Maud Holcombe Clanton.
He was an assistant supervisor with the Bradley Division of the Potlatch Corporation, a member, Deacon and Sunday School Teacher at the Central Baptist Church in Warren, and a Mason, Warren Lodge No. 33.
Other survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Carolyn Lathan of Warren; 3 brothers, Tyson Clanton of Blytheville, Dan Clanton of Houston, Tex., and Morrell Clanton of Warren; 1 sister, Mrs. Martha Jones of Camden; and one grandson, Carroll Wayne Lathan.
Funeral was 2:00 p. m., Tuesday, April 1, at Frazer's Chapel of the Chimes with Rev. Jerry Carter and Rev. Gladney Phillips officiating.
Organist was Mrs. Janice Sullivan.
Soloist was Bill Brown.
Active pallbearers were Bobby Russell, Gerald Clanton, Billy Mack White, Charles White, Jimmy Wayne Lyon, Ronald Lyon, Stacy Clanton, and Raymer Clanton.

Mrs. Dorothy Faye McKinstry
Mrs. Dorothy Faye McKinstry, age 41, wife of John L. McKinstry, of Wilmar, died Friday, March 28, 1975 in the tornado.
She was born March 14, 1934, at Gibson, La., a daughter of Henry Milburn of Warren and Mrs. Clara Swain Kinard of Pansy.
She was an employee at Jack Winter and a member of the Corinth Baptist Church.
Other survivors include: 2 sons, Charles L. McKinstry of Wilmar and Richard McKinstry of Pine Bluff; 5 daughters, Mrs. Shirley Hood of Monticello, Eva Denise, Deborah K., Patricia Faye, and Elizabeth Ann McKinstry all of Wilmar; 4 brothers, Edwin Milburn of Warren, Hershell Milburn of Haywood, Calif., Orville Lee Milburn of Pansy and her twin, Ray Milburn of Redfield; 1 sister, Mrs. Ann Gavin of Pansy; and 3 grandchildren.
Funeral was 4:30 P.M., Tuesday, April 1, at the Corinth Baptist Church with Rev. Maurice Hargis officiating.
Burial was in O'Neill Cemetery by Frazer's Funeral Home.
Pallbearers were Bobby Ralph Gavin, Ed Carr, Roger Echols, Gary Aaron, Daniel Rauls, and Jerry Strickland.
John Albert Frey
John Albert Frey, age 75, husband of the late Nina Mae Culp Frey, (dec. Oct. 25, 1968), of Warren, died Friday, March 28, 1975, in the tornado.
He was born August 16, 1899, at New Edinburg, a son of the late John William and Epsie Jane Moseley Frey.
He was a retired carpenter and a member of the Westside Baptist Church in Warren.
Survivors include 1 daughter, Mrs. Fred W. Raburn of Berryville, Virginia; three brothers, Mason Frey and Grady Frey, both of Benton, and Robert Frey of New Edinburg; 3 sisters, Mrs. Alma Childress and Mrs. Troy Atkins, both of New Edinburg, and Mrs. Carl Ragon of Odessa, Texas; 1 grandson.
Funeral was 2:00 P.M., Monday, March 31, at Frazer's Chapel of the Chimes with Rev. Paul Huskey and Rev. Jimmy Howard.
Organist was Mrs. Janice Sullivan.
Burial was in Freehouse Cemetery at New Edinburg, by Frazer's Funeral Home.
Pallbearers were W. J. Morgan, John Luther Hartsell, Jack Childress, John Polk Frey, Benny Estes, Jerry thompson, Larry Morgan, and Watson Brown.
Danny Richard Boyd
Danny Richard Boyd, 22, husband of Barbara Ross Boyd, died Friday, March 28, 1975 in the tornado.
He was born January 10, 1953, in Warren, a son of Vernice Mack and Martha Sue Robertson Boyd of Warren.
He was a student at the University of Arkansas at Monticello and a member of the First Baptist Church of Warren.
Other survivors include one brother: Randy Boyd of Jonesboro.
Funeral was 4:30 P.M., Monday, March 31, at the First Baptist Church in Warren with Rev. James Walker and Rev. Forrest Bynum officiating.
Burial was in Oakland Cemetery by Frazer's Funeral Home.
Active pallbearers were: Louis Gene Tate, Joe Haynes, Herman Groves, Gary Grider, Jackie Williams, Kenneth McDougald and Jimmy Adams.
