Dwight W. "Hoyt" Hill, 45, of Paris, died Sunday, Nov. 10, 2002.
He was a crane operator.
Graveside service was at 2 p.m. Thursday at Paintrock cemetery under the direction of Roberts Funeral Home of Booneville.
He is survived by his wife, Wanda Hill of the home; three daughters, Shawna Clayton and Troya Phillips of Paris, and Stacey Mott of Magazine; one son, Shane Irwin of Greenwood; mother, Clara Mae Blagg of Paris; four sisters, Virginia Schmidt and Frances Riddle both of Van Buren, and Clara Balazic and Angeline Reynolds both of Alma; and nine grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Darrell Balazic, Stanley Meyer, Rodney Clayton, David Hodges, Shane Irwin, and Marcus Mott.

Anna J. "Freddie" Kehres, 101, of Fort Smith died Sunday, Nov. 10, 2002.
She was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Fort Smith, Ladies Auxiliary at Immaculate Conception.
Funeral mass was at 10 a.m. Wednesday, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Fort Smith with burial at Holy Cross cemetery under the direction of Fentress Mortuary in Fort Smith.
She is survived by several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers were Clyde Johnston, Jr., Sam Nelson, Harold and John Boerner, Tom and Paul Newman.

Gussie Jean (Melton) Ramsey, died Wednesday, Nov. 13, 2002.
She was retired from the Sterling Store in Paris and Jarrard's Auto Parts in Paris. She was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur Ramsey and her parents, Riley Melton and Ines (Goodson) Melton.
Funeral service was at 10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 16 in the Roller Chapel of Paris with burial in the Corley cemetery in Paris under the direction of Roller Funeral Home of Paris.
She is survived by three sons, Richard Ramsey of Cecil, Kenneth Ramsey of Arkadelphia, and Leroy Ramsey of Paris; friend, Hurd Barrington, of Newman, Calif.; three brothers, Damon Melton of Hanford, Calif., James F. Melton of Derby, Kan., and Don Melton of Fresno, Calif.; one sister, Cynthia Joan Spinks of Concord; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Don Ramsey
Don R. Ramsey, died Thursday, Nov. 14, 2002.
He was retired from the Logan County Road Department and worked in the oil fields for several years. He was preceded in death by his father, Guy Ramsey and sister, Reba Hamel.
Funeral service was at 10 Monday, Nov. 18 in the Roller Chapel of Paris with burial in Oakwood cemetery in Paris under the direction of Roller Funeral Home of Paris.
He is survived by his wife, Jane Ramsey of Paris; mother, Delilah (Dee) Needham Ramsey of Paris; two sons, Terry Ramsey of Paris, and Gary Don Ramsey; one daughter, Sandra Rice of Paris; two sisters, Willeen Stovall and Bobbi Ramondi both of Paris; four grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and two step-great-granchildren; special friend, Bill Smith.

She was a member of Christ the King Catholic Church and a member of the Presentation Circle at Christ the King Catholic Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Anton H. Wewer.
Rosary was at 7:30 p.m. at Christ the King Catholic Church on Thursday, Nov. 7.
Funeral mass was at 10 a.m. Friday, Nov. 8 at Chirst the King Catholic Church with burial at 12:30 p.m. at St. Benedict's cemetery in Subiaco under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home of Fort Smith.
She is survived by two sons, Denis Wewers of Little Rock, and Adrian Wewers of Mt. Pleasant, S.C.; two daughters, Phyllis Dalmut of Fort Smith, and Madonna Crosland of Garland, Tex.; five sisters, Sister Marian Walbe and Margie Borengasser of Shoal Creek, Josephine Basgall of Ellinwood, Kan., Ann Frietsche and Juanita Perry of Fort Smith; two brothers, Joe Walbe and Leo Walbe both of Fort Smith; 11 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.

Sharlynda J. Case Blanchette, 53, of Citrus Heights, Calif. (formerly of Paris area) died Tuesday, Nov. 5, 2002.
She was a bookkeeper for 25 years and attended Christ Community Church in Citrus Heights, Calif.
Memorial service was at 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 9 in the First Assembly of God Church in Paris with burial in the Hickory Grove cemetery in Midway under the direction of Roller Funeral Home of Paris.
She is survived by her husband, Steve Blanchette of Citrus Heights, Calif.; two daughters, Andrea Plotner of Turkey, and Christine Williams of Paris; mother, Ruth Storts, of Paris; four sisters, Judy Thompson of Grass Valley, Calif., Barbara Walker of Paris, Susan Rogers of Pearcy, and Vicki Kuykendall of Paris; two brothers, Jimmy Case of Midway, and Scotty Storts of Paris; four grandsons; and four great-grandchildren.

Anna 'Ma Annie' Pendergrass, 92, of Paris, died Thursday, Nov. 7, 2002.
She was a homemaker and a member of the First Assembly of God Church of Paris. She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Anna (Sinkala) Sevic; husband, John Lester Pendergrass; two sisters, and five brothers.
Funeral service was at 2 p.m. Monday, Nov. 11 in the Roller Chapel of Paris with burial in the Paint Rock cemetery in Paris under the direction of Roller Funeral Home of Paris.
She is survived by one daughter, Nancy Hill of Paris; one son, John Pendergrass of Charleston; four grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

R. C. Griffith
R. C. Griffith of Cove, died Thursday, Nov. 7, 2002.
He was born July 1, 1934 in Paris. He was preceded in death by parents Carl Griffith and Ida Mae Christy Griffith; one brother, Lonnie and one sister, Helen. He lived in Cove all of his life, was a sawmill worker and a member of the Cove Revival Center. He was involved with his church and at various times served as Deacon, janitor, sunday school teacher and superintendent and treasurer.
Funeral services were at 10 a.m. Monday, Nov. 11 in the Cove Revival Center with Br. Benny Parks, Br. Larry Davis and Br. Reggie Fryar officiating. Interment was in the Pleasant Grove cemetery under the direction of Hall Funeral Service of Mena.
He is survived by wife, Sodola Griffith of Cove; two sons, Rickey Griffith of Cove, and Steve Griffith of Conway; two daughters, Sarah Griffith of Conway, and Rebekah Thacker of Mena; one brother, Frank Griffith of Newberg, Or.; and four grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Stanley, Troy, and Tim Dickison, Vernon Pate and Don Smedley.

Bertha Classen, 90, of Charleston, died Friday, Nov. 8, 2002.
She was a retired Charleston Telephone Operator, a member of Sacred Heath Church and a member of The Mother's Society. She was preceded in death by parents, Pete Wilhem and Rose Kremer Wilhem; husband, Theodore M Classen; and son, David Classen.
Rosary service was at 7 p.m. at Smith Mortuary Chapel.
Funeral service was at 10 a.m. Monday, Nov. 11 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with burial at Sacred Heath cemetery in Charleston under the direction of Smith Mortuary of Charleston.
She is survived by two sons, Ron Classen of St. Augustine, Fl., and Mike Classen of Overland Park, Ks.; two sisters, Clara Gramlich and Anna Belle Miesner both of Charleston; two brothers, Leonard and Carl Wilheim both of Fort Smith; two grandchild; and two great-grandchildren.
