Sister Helen Schneider, 90, of St. Scholastica Monastery died Tuesday, Feb. 12, 2002.
She was a seamstress. She made her profession of faith, June 24, 1935. She was preceded in death by her parents, Will and Mary (Elsken) Schneider and three brothers, Abe, Gilbert and Wilfred Schneider.
Funeral Vespers were at 7:15 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 13 at St. Scholastica Monastery Chapel in Fort Smith.
Funeral Mass was at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 14 at St. Scholastica Monastery Chapel in Fort Smith with burial at St. Scholastica cemetery in Fort Smith under the direction of Putman Funeral Home of Fort Smith.
She is survived by the sisters of her religious community; three sisters, Catherine Wagner of Fort Smith, Louise Eckart of Subiaco, and Eva Strobel of Subiaco; one brother, Edward Schneider of Muenster, Tex., and several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers were her nephews.

Sylvia Roddy
Sylvia W. Roddy, 97, of Siloam Springs, died Monday, Feb. 11, 2002.
She was a retired operating room nurse, homemaker, a member of the Eastern Star and Harvard Avenue Baptist Church, in Siloam Springs. She was previously a long time member of First Baptist Church of Paris.
Funeral service was at 2 p.m. Friday, Feb. 15 at Roller Funeral Home Chapel in Paris with burial at Oakwood cemetery in Paris under the direction of Roller Funeral Home of Paris.
She is survived by one brother, Kenneth White of Bayard, N.M. and numerous nieces and nephews.
Rex Hixson
Rex Hixson, 82, of Paris, died Feb. 16, 2002.
He was a retired poultry farmer, Catholic War Veterans, Disabled Veterans, and American Legion Post 121 of Paris. He was preceded in death by parents, Orlando and Maude Hixson; two sisters, Alma Thompson, Emma Jane Rowland; and two brothers, Jess and Bill Hixson.
Rosary was at 7 p.m. Monday, Feb. 18 at St. Joseph Catholic Church of Paris.
Mass was Tuesday, Feb. 19 at St. Joseph Catholic Church of Paris with burial at St. Joseph cemetery in Paris under the direction of Roller Funeral Home of Paris.
He is survived by Rosalyn (Zimmer) Hixson of Paris; three sons, Richard Hall of Broken Arrow, Okla.; Bob Hall of Tulsa, Okla., and Joe Hall of Tulsa, Okla.
Pallbearers were Brian Hall, Robert Schwartz, James C. Hixson, Ricky Hixson, Mark Glass, Larry Glass, Steve Schwartz, and Jeff Schwartz.
William Pifer
William "Bill" Marshal Pifer, 73, of Jacksonville, died Feb. 13, 2002. He was preceded in death by a son, Donald Pifer, and his parents, James and Viola Pifer.
Funeral services was at 10 a.m. Monday at Ironton Assembly of God Church with Rev. Elton Cole officiating. Burial was at Ive Chapel cemetery under the direction of North Little Rock Funeral Home.
He is survived by one son, William Pifer of Jacksonville; one daughter, Pamala Baumgartner of Scranton; four step-sons, Odell Hester of Cabot, Wayne Crenshaw of Jacksonville, Martin McClain of Memphis, Tenn., Marvin McClain of Loomis, Ne.; two step-daughters, Geneva Parker of Carlisle, and Dixie McClain of Loomis, Ne.; 20 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren; brother, Otis Pifer of Little Rock; four sisters, Opal Stoops, Ollie Wood, Mildred Jensen all of Little Rock, and Rosie McCoy of Maumelle.
Carlton Reames
Carlton E. Reames, 67, of Russellville, died Friday, Feb. 15, 2002.
He was born on April 19, 1934 in Logan County, to Ralph and Dollie Lee Reames. He married
Lawatha Taylor in Russellville. He was a US Army veteran of the Korean Conflict. He received both his Bachelor of Science and Masters from the University of Arkansas in Animal Nutrition. He was co-owner of Russellville Packing Company. He joined Simmons Foods in the mid 1980s. He retired in 1999. Following his retirement, he taught Agricultural Business courses at Arkansas Tech and was a substitute teacher at Russellville High School. He was a member of the First Assembly of God Church of Russellville.
He is survived by his wife, Lawatha Reames of Russellville; two daughters, Terry McAlister of Russellville, and Tracy Roberts of Paris; three sisters, Pearl Collins of Paris, Gwen Pierce of Clarksville, and Susie Reames of Fort Smith;
Funeral services were at 2 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 18, at the First Assembly of God Church officiated by Rev. Bob Brock and Rev. Larry Moore and Rev. W.A. Berg. Burial was at Rest Haven Memorial Park at Russellville under the direction of Humphrey Funeral Service.
Pallbearers were Mike McAlister, Larry Roberts, Les Collins, Don Guess, Aaron Duvall and Brent Pierce.

Sister Eleanora Fritchie
Sister Eleanora Fritchie, O.S.B., R.N., was born April 27, 1913, in Branch; entered St. Scholastica's, Fort Smith. Sept.29, 1931, from Prairie View; made Monastic Profession, June 24, 1934, at St. Scholastica's and died in Fort Smith, November 25, 2002.
Spending 40 years as a health care provider in community sponsored hospitals in Booneville, Mo.; Morrilton, Clarksville, Van Buren, for 40 years was her professional career. Her assignments were Medical records, surgery and obstetrics.
Upon retirement she was housekeeper for the teaching Sisters in Tontitown, Fort Smith and Fayetteville and later was the interpreter of medical terminology as she accompanied Sisters to the doctors.
Survivors include a sister, Helen Wolfe of Scranton, an extended family of nieces, nephews, and cousins and her Sisters in Community.
James Regian
James Regian, 89, of Booneville died Wednesday, Nov. 27, 2002 in a Fort Smith hospital.
He was a farmer.
Funeral service was at 10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 30 at Roberts Memorial Chapel in Booneville. Burial followed at Ellington Cemetery, Magazine, under the direction of Roberts Funeral Home.
He is survived by his wife, Ernestine Regian, of the home, in Paris; three sons, Leonard and James Regian, both of California and Willie Regian of Oklahoma; one daughter, Flora May Marshall, of California; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
Pallbearers were family members.
Mary Webb
Mary Hester Webb, 82, of Anniston, Ala. (formerly of Paris) died Tuesday, November 25, 2002 in Anniston.
She was a homemaker and a Baptist. She was preceded in death by her husband, Troy Webb; her parents, Thomas E. and Mary L. (Seals) Minks; a son, Thomas Daniel Webb; two brothers, Andrew Minks and Leonard Minks; two sisters, Myrtle Reisinger and Cleo LaBorne.
A graveside service was conducted at 10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 30 in Oakwood Cemetery, Paris, under the direction of Rolleral Funeral Home of Paris.
She is survived by two daughters, Janice Miller of Anniston, Ala. and Barbara Trinkaus of Nanpa, Ida.; two sisters, Alta Prentice of Nashville, Tenn. and Rena Shipman of Whittier, Calif.; nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Kenneth Suggs
Kenneth Edward "Ken" Suggs, 56, of North Little Rock died Monday, Nov. 25, 2002.
He was born July 4, 1946, in Paris, the son of Orlon Edward and Martha Lucille Smith Suggs. He was a graduate of Sylvan Hills High School and the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville, where he received his Bachelor's Degree and Jurist Doctorate. He was an attorney in Pulaski County, a member of the Arkansas Bar Association and the Arkansas Trial Lawyers Association. He was a member of the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks Lodge 1004, where he held all offices in the local lodge, as well as holding state and national offices. He was also a member of the Park Hill Christian Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, Orlon Edward Suggs and Martha Lucille Smith Suggs Miller.
He is survived by his wife, Marilyn Shields Williams Suggs; one son, Lee Suggs of Little Rock; two daughters Rhonda Byrd of North Little Rock, and Amanda Munier of Paris, France; two grandchildren; one brother, Dale Miller of Little Rock; aunt, Grace Barnett of Paris.
Funeral services were at 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 30, at Griffin-Leggett Rest Hills Funeral Home Chapel in North Little Rock with Brother Miles Cook officiating. Burial was in Rest Hills Memorial Park in North Little Rock with full Elks Rites by the Elks Lodge 1004.
Pallbearers were Morgan "Chip" Welch, Ralph Patterson, Jeff Pence, Robert Kirspel, Ronnie Ringer, and Sam Montgomery.
Honorary pallbearers were all the members of the Elks Lodge 1004.
Memorials may be made to the Elks National Foundation. Arrangements are under the dlrection of Regency Funeral Home of Malvern.

Zona Poteet Page, 87, of Magazine, died Friday, Nov. 29, 2002.
She was a member of First United Methodist Church of Magazine and the Blue Mountain Extension Club. She was preceded in death by three brothers, Burt, Leonard and Hobart Poteet.
Funeral service was at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 3 at First United Methodist Church with burial at Bluff View cemetery in Magazine under the direction of Roller Funeral Home of Booneville.
She is survived by her husband, Cline E. Page; two daughters, Betty Page of Magazine, and Peggy Page Hopkins of Magazine; one sister, Mary Poteet of Cauthersville, Mo.; two brothers, Glenn Poteet of Tulsa, Okla., and Clarence Poteet of Steele, Mo.; three grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were grandsons, Michael and Christopher Hopkins, Tom Fetner, and great-grandsons, Steven and Daniel Hopkins, and Thomas Fetner.
