JEAN VALERIE, 51, of Moore, Okla., died June 11, 1997. She was born
Sept. 28, 1945, in Huntsville, the daughter of Artie and Dixie Dotson
Rainey. She was a former resident of Midwest City, Okla., and a
graduate of Del City High School. Valerie married
Robert Hill on Nov.
23, 1963. She was employed at Tinker AFB in Civil Service as a supply
technician.
Survivors include her husband, Robert Valerie of the home; her
parents, Artie and Dixie Rainey of Midwest City, Okla.; one brother,
Richard Ray Rainey of Piedmont, Okla.; one sister, Dana Valley and
husband Walt of Midwest City, Okla.; two sisters-in-law; three
brothers-in-law; close friend, Peter McGuiness of Clovis, N.M; and
several nieces and nephews.
Services were at 1 p.m. Tuesday, June 17, at Bill Eisenhour Southeast
Chapel with burial at Sunny Lane Cemetery.
J. R. (KENNETH) MOUNCE, 54, of Springdale died May 7, 1997, at
Northwest Medical Center - He was born May 10, 1942, at Springdale, to
John and Maudie Henson Mounce. He was a masonry contractor and a
lifetime resident of this area. He was a Baptist and an avid hunter
and fisherman
Survivors include his widow, Deloris Harrelson Mounce, of the home to
whom he was married
May 15, 1959; two sons, John and Danny Mounce,
both of Springdale; one daughter, Sabrena Perkins of Springdale; his
mother of Springdale; five brothers, J.D., Melvin, Lee and Jack
Mounce, all of Springdale and Billy Joe Mounce of Siloam Springs;
three sisters, Grace Wolfe of Wesley, Lena Calico and Leona Mulkey,
both of Springdale; and four grandchildren.
Services were Saturday, May 30, at 4 p.m. at Sisco Funeral Chapel with
the Rev. Paul Eden and the Rev. Cecil Garrison officiating. Burial was
in Hickory Creek Cemetery. Services were under the direction of Sisco
Funeral Chapel of Springdale.
Pallbearers were Tim Perkins, Luke Perkins, Joe Freshwater, Robert
Luper, Tracy Davis and Mark Perkins.
NAOMI ALEENE MCCOY, 82, of Rt 1 Box 113, Huntsville died May 18, 1997
at Meadowview Lodge Nursing Home in Huntsville. She was born August
22, 1914 at Huntsville, the daughter of John Riley and Elizabeth
Harper Dvis. She was a homemaker and was the widow of Amos Leander
McCoy whom she married
on July 5, 1930 and who preceded her in death
on July 26, 1995.
Survivors include three sons, Dalton McCoy and Duane McCoy, both of
Huntsville, and Joe McCoy of Lowell; four daughters, Kathleen Sparks
of Ava, Mo., Glenna Pettz, Jean Hill, and Kay Usrey all of Huntsville;
one sister, Wilma McCoy of Huntsville; 22 grandchildren; 29 great-
great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
Funeral services were held Saturday, May 31, in the chapel of
Brashears Funeral Home with the Rev. Jimmy Bennett officiating.
Interment was in the Bohannan cemetery under the direction of
Brashears Funeral Home. Pallbearers were Donnie McCoy, Justin
McCoy, David McCoy, Lyndell McCoy, James Sparks, Robert Pettz, Mike
Haney, and Jeff Haney.
JOHN ELIGA WRIGHT, 66, of Spring Valley died June 21, 1997, at his
home. He was born Oct. 31, 1930, at Spring Valley to Everett and Elsie
Graham Wright. He moved to this area seven years ago from Great Bend,
Kan., where he was a member of First Bible Baptist Church. He was a
self-employed truck driver and a member of the Spring Valley Baptist
Church. He was preceded in death by his son, Scott Wright in 1988.
Survivors include his widow, Loretta M. Wright of the home, to
whom he was married
Jan. 29, 1957; his stepmother, Gladys Smith
Wright of Springdale; two brothers, Mangus Wright and Kenneth Wright,
both of Springdale; two ,half-brothers, Danny Wright and Jimmy Wright,
both of Springdale; .one sister, Opal Ramer of Springdale; five half-
sisters, Geneva Miller, Loretta Bohannan and Leona Wright, all of
Springdale, and Barbara McGarrah of Gentry and Clara Staggs of
Hindsville.
Services were at 2 p.m. ,Tuesday, June 24, at the Sisco .Funeral
Chapel of Springdale with the Rev. Bob Morris officiating. Burial was
in Joyce Cemetery. Pallbearers were Don Wright, Danny Joe Kirby,
Delbert Ramer, Shelby Ramer, Scott Ramer and T. J. Hill.

HAZEL JACKMAN, 81, of 600 North 12th in Ozark, Ark., died May 6, 1997,
at Sparks Regional Medical Center. She was born Oct. 1, 1915, in
Ozark, Ark., the daughter of Jonah and Minnie Agee Yates. She was a
homemaker and a Methodist and attended the United Methodist Church.
Hazel and her husband Hack opened Hack & Hazel's Cafe in Huntsville in
November, 1947. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Halley
(Hack) Adcock to whom she was married
53 years and Charles (Dick)
Jackman, her husband of eight years; a brother, Jack Yates; and her
parents.
Survivors include one daughter, Peggy Fritts of Huntsville; one son,
Tom Adcock of Arlington, Tex.; one brother, Tommy Yates of Ozark; one
sister, Billie Adams of Houston, Tex.; five grandchildren and 10
great-grandchildren.
Services were held Friday, May 9, at 2 pm. at Shaffer Funeral Home
with Dr. Coy Lee officiating. Interment was in Highland cemetery in
Ozark under the direction of Shaffer Funeral Home.
MARIAN SUE HUDGINS, 40, 2807-B Alton Ave., Springdale died May 5,
1997, at Washington Regional Medical Center at Fayetteville. She was
born Sept. 27, 1956, at Abilene, Tex., the daughter of Marion Jack and
Sallie M. Shipley Hudgins. She was night supervisor for the
Respiratory Therapy Department at Northwest Medical Center and a
member of the Huntsville Church of Christ. She was preceded in death
by one sister, Mrs. Terry D. Finnel on July 1985.
Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Christina Grider of Rogers and
Miss Terra Thompson of Galena Park, Tex.; her parents, Mr. and Mrs.
Marion Jack Hudgins of Clifty; one brother, Joel C. Hudgins of Clifty;
and one sister, Mrs. Cynthia D. Blackshire of Albany, Ore.
Services were held at 2 p.m. Friday, May 9, at the Huntsville Church
of Christ with Larry Combs, minister, officiating. Interment was in
the Clifty cemetery under the direction of Brashears Funeral Home.
Pallbearers were Elton Eledge, Presley Thomas, Lyndell Thomas, ,Bill
Madison, Tim Howard and Ernest Spurlock. Honorary pallbearers were
Leland Lewis, R.G. Howard, Eldon Hestand and Randy Bohannan.
