Anna Pauline "Polly" Washam, 82, of Floral, died Monday, February 11, 2002 at Batesville. She was born March 20, 1919 in Cairo, Illinois, to George and Della Thornton. She was a homemaker and a member of the Floral Baptist Church.
She is survived by two sons, Phillip Sexton of Floral and Jerry Sexton of Batesville; two daughters, Phyllis Pearson of Judsonia and Jonna Williams of Pangburn; three grandsons; two granddaughters; one great grandson; and one niece.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, John Washam; a grandson; two half brothers; and three sisters including Georgia Rhoades of Floral.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Floral Baptist Church with Jim Dillard officiating. Burial will be in Cedar Grove cemetery with arrangements by Powell Funeral Home of Bald Knob. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday. Memorials may be made to Floral Baptist Church.
The pallbearers will be Evon Sharp, Lanny Frazier, Robert Harmon, Daryl Brown and Jerry Robbins.
Frederick Leo Crook Sr.
Frederick Leo Crook Sr., 60, formerly of Pangburn, died Monday, June 3, 2002. He was born December 25, 1941, in Heber Springs. He was a sergeant in the U.S. Air Force, stationed in Incirlik, Turkey.
He is survived by his mother, Pauline Crook; his wife, Nancy Crook; one son, Frederick Leo Crook Jr.; one daughter, Candice Lindstrom; two brothers, Michael Crook and Dwight Crook; two sisters, Nina Louise Crook and Paula Sue Mardis; and three grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, June 6, 2002, at Henderson cemetery in Pangburn.
Arrangements are by All Faiths Funeral Service of Austin, Texas.
Irene Houston Glasscock Bowman
Irene Houston Glasscock Bowman, 88, of Pangburn, died Friday, August 16, 2002. She was a housewife and a member of the Pangburn Assembly of God Church.
She is survived by one daughter, Willow Head of Pangburn; three step-daughters, Geneva Stroud of El Paso, Elwanda Boone of Beebe, and Mabel Nick of Millington, Tennessee; seven grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and eight great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, Jeff Glasscock and Oscar Bowman.
Visitation will be 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday at Westbrook Funeral Home in Beebe, which is in charge of arrangements.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Monday, August 19, 2002, at Pangburn Assembly of God Church. Interment will be in Henderson cemetery in Pangburn.
Marie 'Me-Me' Barger
Funeral services for Marie "Me-Me" Barger of Romance were conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday, October 23, 2002, at Gravel Hill Free Will Baptist Church with Brother Sam Moore and Brother Velon Harmon officiating. Interment was in Gray Cemetery.
Song selections were "The Lights Of Home," sung by her son, Robin Covington; "I Want That Kind Of Blessing," Where The Roses Never Fade," and "I'll Meet You In The Morning," all sung by the church choir; and "What Will I Leave Behind" and "The Prettiest Flowers Will Be Blooming," sung by a quartet.
Pallbearers were Dewayne Holliman, Olan Barger, Billy Smith, Earl Chapman, Tommy Atkin, and Bill Barger.
Arrangements were by Roller-Daniel Funeral Home of Searcy.
Beatrice Newton
Beatrice Newton, 85, of Searcy, died Saturday, December 21, 2002. She was born May 13, 1917, at Garner to the late Author E. and Clara Winnie Freeman Osborne. She was a homemaker and a member of Garner Methodist Church.
She is survived by her husband, W.B. Newton of Searcy; three brothers, Frank O., George "Bud," and Charles Osborne, all of Searcy; and one sister, Juanita Webber of Garner.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one daugher, Geraldine Newton; four brothers, Carl Eldon, Leslie J., Glen E., and Jack Osborne; and one sister, Effie Sanford.
Visitation will be 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday at Searcy Funeral Home, which is in charge of arrangements.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Monday, December 23, 2002, at Garner Methodist Church. Interment will be at Lebanon cemetery in McRae.
Randall Franklin Osborn
Randall Franklin Osborn, 74, of Searcy died November 14, 1999. Born March 8, 1925, in Kennett, Missouri, he was the son of Cecil and Maggie Smith Osborn. He was a retired construction company welder and an United States Army veteran of World War II, serving in France.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Osborne; four sons, Bill Mathis of Lansing, Michigan, Jerry Osborn of Concord, and John Osborn and Jackie Osborn, both of McRae; two daughters, Judy Lybarger of Butler, Missouri, and Melody Harrison of Austin; one step-son, Elmer James of Evening Shade; one step-daughter, Teresa Cofran of Judsonia; two brothers, G.B. Ward of Yellville and Troy Ward of Kingsburg, California; two sisters, Dean Bramlett of Texas and Nayrene Qualls of Redfield; 18 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Grover and Maggie Ward; his first wife, Virgie Osborn; two daughters, Gwendolyn Sue Osborn and Ginger Darlene Fritz; and two brothers.
Graveside services will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. at White County Memorial Gardens in Searcy by Roller-Daniel Funeral Home.
Survivors include two daughters, Maxine Rister of Searcy and Charlene Gresham of Albuquerque, New Mexico; three granddaughters; and four great-grandchildren.

Kamezo Sando
Kamezo Sando, 86, of Searcy died June 7, 2000. Born September 27, 1913, in Tokyo, Japan, he was the son of Naobe and Ai Haga Wada. He was a bookkeeper for Sakura Film Company and member of the Tokyo Figure Skating Association and College Church of Christ.
Survivors include two daughters, Hiroko Robertson of Searcy and Keiko Hidaka of Tokyo; and five grandchildren, Andrea Baker of Mbarara, Uganda, Kenneth Robertson of Milton, Florida, Wilson Robertson and Jill Robertson of Searcy, Seiko Hidaka of Oxford, England, and Hiromasa Hidaka of London.
Funeral services will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Roller-Daniel Chapel by Roller-Daniel Funeral Home. Visitation with the family will be Monday from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Uganda Mission Fund, First Colony Church of Christ, 3119 Sweetwater Blvd., Sugar Land, Texas 77479.

Lee Liles, 87, of Beebe died June 22, 2000. He was a retired service station owner/operator.
Survivors include several nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Geraldine; one son, Myron Ray; and a daughter, Oneida.
Funeral services will be Saturday at 10 a.m. at Westbrook Chapel with burial in Antioch cemetery by Westbrook Funeral Home. The family will receive visitors tonight from 6:30-8:30 at the funeral home.

Funeral services for Alton Ray "Bo" Coleman were conducted Wednesday, October 4, 2000 at Roller-Daniel Chapel with Brother Douglas Robison officiating.
Special music was lead and provided by Dr. Ed Baggett and the Westside Church of Christ Singers. Song selections included "What A Friend We Have In Jesus," "Safe In The Arms Of Jesus," and "Faith In Victory."
Pallbearers were Tracy Coleman, Randy West, Morgan L. Watson, Kenneth Crafton, Bob Conder, and Leon Person.
Burial was in Romance cemetery by Roller-Daniel Funeral Home.
