Catherine Turner, 35, of St. Louis and formerly of Cabot left this world to be with the Lord Jan. 9, 2008.
Ms. Turner was preceded in death by her cousin, Patrick Pisanello of Cabot, her sister, Michelle Owens of Sheridan and her father, William Turner of Little Rock.
She leaves behind five children, four grandchildren, four sisters, two brothers, two sisters-in-law and her mother, Terrell Turner of Beebe and several nieces and nephews.
Ms. Turner wished to be cremated and returned to her mother for burial.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the National Heart Association.
James Tyler
James Gaylon Tyler, 78, of Jacksonville passed away Jan. 8, 2008.
He was born August 9, 1929, in Senath, Mo., to the late William Herman and Percy Viola Carlisle Tyler.
He was also preceded in death by a son, Patrick Tyler in 2002, three brothers and four sisters.
He served in the Air Force and retired with the rank of senior master sergeant after 31 years of serving his country.
He was a life member of VFW Post 4548.
He was an avid golfer, and a Baptist. Most of all, he loved his family.
Survivors include his wife, Betty Tyler of Jacksonville; children, Linda Davis and her husband Darwin of Memphis, Mike Tyler of Jacksonville and Janet Waters and her husband John of Jonesboro; a brother, Louis Tyler of Picwick, Tenn.; two sisters, Louise Goodwin and Mary Kitchens and her husband Donald all of Kennett, Mo.; grandchildren, Troy Hallsell, Lauren Hallsell, Josh Waters, Jana Waters and Jodi Waters and a great-grandson, Tyler Morgan.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 12 in Moore s Funeral Home Chapel in Jacksonville with Rev. Ron Raines officiating.
Internment will follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Park.

H.G. Cunningham
TMC H.G. Cunningham USN Ret., 69, of Des Arc passed away Tuesday, Jan. 8, 2008.
He was born Oct. 7, 1938 in Des Arc, to the late J.B. and Edith Whitehead Cunningham.
For 27 years, he served with honor and distinction in the Navy and retired at rank of chief.
He was a sailor s sailor and very patriotic. Gene was a member of VFW Post 2330.
He is survived by his wife, Shirley Cunningham of 45 years; children, Sharon Edwards and her husband Clyde of Bald Knob, Julia Williams and her husband LCDR Rick of White Oak, Ga., and Donna Cunningham of Ocala, Fla.; two sisters, Virginia Bittle of Cabot and Kathryn Casey of Laughlin, Nev.; three brothers, Billy and Duel Cunningham both of Cabot and Don Cunningham of Louisiana; eight grandchildren; three great-grandchildren and special friends, Mark and Judy Stephenson and George and Terry Maher.
The funeral service will be at 5 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 12 at the Chapel of Cabot Funeral Home with Julia Williams officiating.

Lewis Pledger
Lewis Guy Luke Pledger, 72, born June 18, 1935, went to be with Jesus Christ on Jan. 9, 2008, after a very long illness.
He was a 32nd degree Mason, a member of the Lonoke Local Lodge 51, and was a master brick mason with a 50-year Service Award Gold Card.
Preceding him in death, his parents, Louis and Pearl Pledger; a brother, Otis Pledger; a baby sister, Nora, and his wife of 30 years, Catherine Munnerlyn Pledger.
He is survived by his second wife of 15 years, Carolyn Hiblong Daniels Pledger; two sons, Jerry Pledger and his wife Sherry and Danny Pledger and his wife Lori; two daughters, Linda Mickey and her husbdan Danny and Kathy Pledger Pope and her husband Rick; three stepdaughters, Brenda Von Ohlen, Sheila Crum and Dana Cicirello and her husband Matthew; 14 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and three sisters, Katie, Dormae and Juanita.
Lewis will be greatly missed by his family and his Jack Russell terriers, Gabby, Gideon and Guy Luke.
The memorial service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 12 at Boyd Funeral Home, Lonoke, officiated by Revs. Wayne and Nancy McHughes.
Patricia C. Landry, 60 of Cabot passed away Jan. 9, 2008 in Jacksonville.
She was born in Cebu City, Philippines on Nov. 18, 1947 to the late Faustino and Soladad Rifa Cortel.
Patricia was Catholic and a member of St. Jude the Apostle Catholic Church in Jacksonville.
Survivors include her husband, Robert Landry of Cabot; stepsons, Thomas Landry and his wife Janeth of Jacksonville and Steven Landry and his wife Sandra of Graham, Wash.; grandchildren, Krystle Fields, Thomas Landry and Joy Landry; great-grandson Ian Fields; a sister, Wedelina Cortel of Jacksonville, nieces, Lisa Davenport of Riverside, Calif., and Elizabeth Cortel of Jacksonville.
Funeral services were Friday in the chapel of Moore s Jacksonville Funeral Home with Father Les Farley officiating.

Phillip Holt
Phillip Allan Holt, 50, of Jacksonville passed away Jan. 7, 2008.
He was born Dec. 10, 1957 in Jacksonville to Cecelia Haggard Holt and the late Gerald Holt.
Phillip was a plumber and served his country in the Air National Guard.
Survivors include his son, Joshua Lyle of Sherwood; a daughter, Rebekah Holt of Vilonia, two brothers, Mike Holt and his wife Brenda of Haskell and John Holt of Jacksonville; two sisters, Francis Blassingame and her husband Jim of Jacksonville, and Donna Hurd and her husband David of Joshua, Texas, one granddaughter, Allison, as well as several other family and friends.

Charles Stocks
Charles M. Stocks, 83, of Beebe was born August 14, 1924 at Cabot to Riley James 'Buck' Stocks and Mattie Mae Wright Stocks, and he died Jan. 8, 2008.
He was a retired farmer and carpenter and a member of 16th Section Methodist Church.
A World War II veteran, Charles was awarded the Purple Heart. He was a 32nd Degree Scottish Rite Mason and a member of Eastern Star.
Charles was preceded in death by his wife, Leva Mae Rees Stocks, and a son, Ronnie Charles Stocks.
He is survived by his wife, Marie; one son, Joe Stocks and wife Fran of Ward; two daughters, Shirley Oakley and husband Gerald and Barbara Ausbrooks and husband Carmon, all of Austin; two brothers, Harold Stocks of Conway and Jack Stocks of Mission, Texas; one sister, Maybel Osburn of North Little Rock; four grandchildren, Neal Stocks and wife, Kim, Diane Skeel and husband Ben, Brian Oakley and wife Karla and Lydia Huggins and husband Chris; nine great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were Jan. 11 at 16th Section Methodist Church, Lonoke County, with burial at 16th Section cemetery.

Gene Brewer
Gene Brewer, 66, a longtime resident of Beebe, was born March 17, 1941, at Conway and he lost his battle with cancer on Jan. 8, 2008.
He was a former dairy farmer and truck driver. Gene has touched many lives in the community.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Myrtle Brewer, a brother and two sisters.
He is survived by his wife, Norma Brewer; daughter, Vicki Mowles and husband Lt. Col. Donald G. Mowles, Jr. of Woodbridge, Va.; two sons, Rick Brewer and wife Lynne and Moose Brewer and wife Debi all of Beebe; 10 grandchildren and three great-granddaughters; a brother, Carroll Brewer of Conway; a sister, Alice Simpson of Beebe and numerous nieces and nephews.
Graveside services were Jan. 10 at Antioch cemetery.

James Smith
James Thomas Smith, 66, of Smithville, Okla., formerly of McRae, died Jan. 6, 2008 of lung cancer.
He was born Feb. 13, 1941, in Searcy to Murray and Ada Lackey Smith.
From McRae High School he entered the 101st Airborne Division, serving for nine years.
From 1968 to 1982, he lived and worked as a pipefitter/welder in LaPorte, Texas and was a member of the Local 211 Pipefitter s Union.
He was a newspaper publisher and started the White County Shopper in 1975.
He was a political activist, always striving for change at both the national and local levels of government and consistently published materials regarding current issues until the time of his death.
Smith was preceded in death by his parents and his eldest brother, Billy Murray Smith.
He is survived by his daughter, Chris Ferguson and husband Joseph; four grandchildren, Rachel, Elizabeth, Andrew and Laura; a sister, Helen Liles and brother Robert Smith, both of McRae, and a sister, Mary McClure of Texas. The family expresses gratitude to the caring staffs of both Arkansas Hospice at St. Vincent Doctors Hospital and the VA Hospital Oncology unit.
Graveside services were Jan. 10 at Lebanon cemetery.
