John Henry Agur, 102, of Lonoke died Feb. 7, 2007.
He is survived by two daughters, Judy Moody and husband Earlin, Fern Davis and husband David; five grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.
He was a retired farmer and businessman.
Funeral services were Feb. 9 at Lonoke Apostolic Church with burial in Sunset Memorial Gardens. Arrangements were by Boyd Funeral Home in Lonoke.
Stewart Bailey
Stewart Edward Bailey, 51, of Romance passed away Feb. 6, 2007 in Searcy. He was born June 29, 1955 in Edinburgh, Scotland, to the late Samuel E. and Mary Stewart Bailey. He was a machine operator for Altivity Packaging for 35 years.
Survivors include his wife of 14 years, Rachel Bailey of the home; daughter, Lalona Scott; step-daughter, Victoria Whitmire; adopted kids, Brandi Kirsch and Nichole Smith; grandchildren, Layla, Dawn and William Scott, Devin, Breana, and Emily Smith and Alyssa Kirsch.
Funeral services were Feb. 9 at Moore's Jacksonville Funeral Home.
Gladys Hamilton
Gladys Marguerite Hamilton, 84, of Jacksonville went to meet her Lord on Feb. 7, 2007 at Woodland Hills Healthcare and Rehab of Jacksonville.
She was born Jan. 31, 1923 to John H. and Nanny Mae Wages Rogers of Pine Bluff.
She received her education at Dollarway Jr. High and Watson Chapel High Schools.
She was a Cub Scout den mother, a classroom mother and was active in the P.T.A. at Pine Bluff's Gabe Meyer School. She enjoyed sewing, taking photographs, flower gardening, flower arranging and houseplants. She was currently a member of Bailey Street Church of Christ. During her lifetime, she taught children's Bible classes and ladies' Bible classes.
She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, three sisters, and her husband of almost 64 years, Retired Msgt. Archie C. Hamilton.
She is survived by one son, Archie C. Hamilton, Jr., and wife Edie of Corpus Christie, Texas; and one daughter, Deborah Fitt and husband, Cliff, with whom she lived in Jacksonville.
She is also survived by one granddaughter, Jennifer Fitt of Ward; two grandsons, Dirk Hamilton of Bryant and Aric Hamilton of El Dorado and one great-granddaughter, Grace Hamilton, and many loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 10 at Moore's Funeral Home Chapel in Jacksonville with Mike Sinapiades officiating. Entombment will be in Chapel Pines Mausoleum in Chapel Hill Memorial Park in Jacksonville.

Larry Whitaker
Larry Henry Whitaker, 54, of Blytheville passed away Feb. 4, 2007.
He was born Feb. 11, 1952 in Marked Tree to the late A.B. and Dorothy Whitaker.
He was also preceded in death by two brothers, Johnny Monroe and Buster McDonald and three sisters, Ann Chism, Hattie King and Pearlie Lucas.
Survivors include two sons, Michael Lynn Whitaker of Cabot and Larry Wayne Whitaker of Jacksonville; one daughter, Shalla Hollis of Jacksonville; six sisters, Mary Francis McDonald, Bobbie McGarity, Edna Hudson, Sue Bowers, Louise Shirley and Maxine Lee; six brothers, Jerry Wayne Whitaker, Roy Whitaker, John Henry McDonald, Joe McDonald, Junior McDonald and Richard McDonald, and eight grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 10 at New Testament Church in Jacksonville. Funeral arrangements were by Thomas Funeral Service in Cabot.
Jessica Coppini
Jessica Kinau Lee Jones-Coppini, 23, of Ward died Feb. 6, 2007.
She had a long battle with cancer but she lived life with purpose and great joy, and her memory will be forever in the hearts of those who knew her.
Jessica is survived by her husband, Dane Coppini; her parents, Carl and Pamela Obrey Jones of Ward; grandmothers, Lurline Obrey of Hawaii and Onnie Bell Jones of Hickory Ridge; three brothers, David, Christopher and Jonathan; two sisters, April and Jennifer and a host of other friends and acquaintances. We love you, Jess.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday, Feb. 12 at Westbrook Funeral Home in Beebe with funeral to follow at 1 p.m. Burial will be in Old Austin cemetery in Ward.
Opal Mallett
Opal Harpole Mallett, 88, of Jacksonville died Feb. 9, 2007 at her home.
She was born Oct. 8, 1918 in Jacksonville to Harry and Jewel Boyd Harpole.
She graduated from Jacksonville High School at the age of 16. She began teaching at 18. Later, she became a graduate of University of Central Arkansas, formerly Arkansas State Teacher College. She began her teaching career at Sylvan Hills where she met her husband, John Mallett. On Aug. 31, 1941 they were married
at First Presbyterian Church in Jacksonville. She taught school at Jacksonville Elementary for a total of 15 years until she retired in 1955. She was a lifelong member of First Presbyterian Church. She was a 50-year member of the Eastern Star as well as serving several years as the tour director for the Jacksonville Senior Center.
She is survived by her husband, John Mallett of the home; son, Robert Mallett of Jacksonville; daughter, Betty and husband Gary Wallis of North Little Rock; step grandson, Gary Wallis II of Boston, Mass.; brother, Harry Neil and wife Sally Harpole of Houston, Texas; sister, Nell and husband Lyle Jones of Lee's Summit, Mo.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, Feb. 12 at First Presbyterian Church with Rev. David Dyer officiating. Burial will be in Bayou Meto cemetery in Jacksonville. Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 11 at the funeral home.

BILLY PITCHFORD
Billy Dwain Pitchford, 52, of Austin passed away Feb. 4, 2007. He was born July 29, 1954 in Las Vegas, Nev. to Donna Pitchford of Austin and the late Billy Houston Pitchford. Survivors include his wife Dianna Pitchford of the home; two daughters, Shawna Branscum and husband Scott of Cabot and Michelle Stewart and husband Shawn of Beebe; one brother, Jim Pitchford and wife Donna of Austin; two sisters, Deb Pitchford of Austin and Judy Burnett and husband Jessie of Jacksonville; seven grandchildren, Nicole, Dusten, Stephan, Caleb, Jordan, Seth and Tayler, along with many other family members and friends.

MERVYN ROBINSON
Mervyn Alfred Robinson, 80, of Ward died Feb. 3, 2007 the date which would have been his and Mrs. Robinson's 56th wedding anniversary. He was born Jan. 17, 1927 in Coventry, England, to the late Fredrick William and Charlotte Bradshaw Robinson.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Frances May Glover Robinson and one sister, Doreen Sharpton.
He was a member of the English Army as a young man and was employed by the Army and Air Force Exchange Service, for 42 years, after coming to the United States. He was also a member of the Board of Directors of the Air Museum and a member of the Masonic Lodge in Pennsylvania. He is survived by his son, Wayne Robinson and his wife Penny of Cabot; three brothers, Billy, Alan and Raymond Robinson and one sister, Margaret Cole, all of Texas; five grandchildren, Kellilyn Auryansen, Wayne Thomas Robinson, Tracey Burger, Sabrina Stewart and Samantha Stewart as well as one great grandson, Owen Michael Robinson.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 7 at Our Savior Lutheran Church with Mark Eisold officiating. Funeral arrangements are by Cabot Funeral Home.
ANDY KERR
Rev. Andy A. Kerr, 78, of Little Rock passed away Feb. 1, 2007. He was born to the late Leslie N. and Goldie Kerr. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Alice Moran Kerr of Little Rock; a son, Larry Kerr and wife Julie; daughters Charlotte 'Casey' Starkey and husband Steve, and Tina Overton and husband Jerry; grandchildren, Clay Starkey and wife Belinda, Blake Starkey, Jesse Ware and Jason Overton and wife Katie.
He ministered to the people and was a servant to God for 52 years, most recently at Brownsville Baptist Church for over 17 years. He also served at Jacksonville Second Baptist Church for over 10 years, Archview Baptist for four years and a number of other Arkansas churches. He also served on the executive committee of Arkansas Baptist State Convention for one year as well as president of the retired ministers association of Arkansas for one year.
Services were Feb. 5 at Otter Creek Baptist Church in Little Rock with burial at Pinecrest cemetery. The Rev. Elvis Smith, Rev. Jess Whitley and Rev. Robert McDaniel officiated the services. Funeral arrangements were by Boyd Funeral Home of Lonoke.
The family would like to thank Dr. Brad Baltz and his staff for all of their dedicated and outstanding service to Bro. Andy and his family during his association with them. Their care went above and beyond their call.
RUTH PORTER
Ruth Marie Porter, 72, of Jacksonville passed away Feb. 1, 2007 in Little Rock. She was born July 30, 1934 in Platon, Mo., to the late Robert and Bessie Carter Willhite. She was also preceded in death by a son, Mike Porter and one brother. Survivors include her husband, Norris Porter; son Edward Norris and his wife Carolyn; four grandchildren, Jeffery, Allison, Jennifer and Ashley Porter and six brothers and sisters. Cremation arrangements were by Moore's Jacksonville Funeral Home.
DAVID WHITE
David D. White, 68, of Beebe died Feb. 3, 2007. He was the retired owner of the White Shell Gas Station in Beebe. He was a member of the Lighthouse Pentecostal Church of Beebe and a United States Navy veteran. He was preceded in death by his parents, Buster and Julia White; one brother, Amon White; two sisters, Icie Mae Wooten and Mary Hanna. He is survived by three sons; Mark, Randy, and Michael White all of Beebe and one daughter, Gina Conner of Beebe, also a brother, Earl White of Perryville and 10 grandchildren. Funeral services were Feb. 6 at Lighthouse Pentecostal Church with burial in Meadowbrook Memorial Gardens in Beebe. Funeral services were by Westbrook Funeral Home in Beebe.
Dorothy Landa
Dorothy Lee Landa, 84, of Jacksonville passed away Dec. 5, 2007. She was born Sept. 6, 1923 in Jonesboro to the late James and Ela Gregg.
She worked for the military in personnel at Memphis Municipal Airport's Fourth Ferry Group, where she met her husband, Joseph. They were married
for 61 years and during that time she worked as a homemaker. They were members of the Second Baptist Church of Jacksonville.
She was preceded in death by her parents; three sons, Michael Landa, Gregg Landa and an infant son, James Thomas Landa; and by one brother, Jon Griffin.
She is survived by her husband, Joseph Landa of Jacksonville; one son, Robin Landa and wife Terri of Birmingham, Ala.; one sister, Sue Griffin Kuhn of Jupiter, Fla.; and grandchildren, Robin Landa and Erin Landa.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 8 at Moore's Jacksonville Funeral Home. There will be a private family burial in Jonesboro following the funeral service.
Rasco White
Rasco Hollis White, Sr., 86, of Searcy died Dec. 5, 2007.
He was born Sept. 21, 1921, at Dewitt to James Hollis and Bessie Lee Davis White.
He was a retired farmer and an Army veteran of the Second World War. He was a member of Trinity Baptist Church of Searcy.
He was preceded in death by a son, Rasco Hollis White, Jr. and his parents. He is survived by his wife, Shirley; children, Larry Thomas White and wife Mary of Conway, Christopher Cansler and wife Carolyn of Dallas, Texas, Brenda Rose Moreland and husband Tom of Ft. Smith, Linda Canfield and husband Kenneth of Searcy, and Tracy Thomas and husband Steve of Beebe; 12 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews who loved him.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 8 at Westbrook Funeral Home with burial in Meadowbrook Memorial Gardens.
She is survived by her children, John Stivers of Woodlawn, Don Stivers and Rickey Stivers of Little Rock, Maxine Ellison and Tammy Pounds of Benton, Ruby Wagner of Cabot, Mary Johnson and Veda Good of Lonoke, Shirley Basinger of Bald Knob, Ruth Reed of Judsonia and Lisa Rhodes of Hensley; 29 grandchildren, 51 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
Funeral services were Dec. 7 at First Assembly of God Church in Lonoke officiated by Rev. Bobby McElroy and David Good. Burial was in Concord cemetery. Arrangements were by Boyd Funeral Home in Lonoke.
