Graveside services for Ronnie Gene Smith, 50, of Barton will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Sunset Memorial Park in Barton. The Rev. Gary Steiner will officiate.
Smith, born Sept. 3, 1953, in Helena, died Sept. 11, 2003 in Barton.
Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. this evening at Roller-Citizens Funeral Home.
He was a member of the Arkansas Disabled Sportsmen's Association
Smith leaves his mother Frances Smith of Barton; two brothers, Ricky Smith and Reggie Smith of Barton; two nieces Candy Smith and Ashley Smith of Barton; his grandmother Molly Davis of Helena.
His father Gene Smith preceded him in death.

Funeral services for Veola Jefferson 72, of West Helena will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 13, 2003 at the Gumwood Baptist Church near Elaine. The Rev. Jerome Turner will officiate. Burial will be at First Baptist Church cemetery in Elaine.

Jefferson, born Sept. 1, 1931, to the late Elizabeth Jefferson and George Williams in Gould, died Sept. 7, 2003, at Baptist East Memorial Hospital in Memphis. She moved to Ratio with her family in 1939 and in 1944 she married
Thomas Lee Jefferson.
She confessed a hope in Christ at the Gumwood Baptist Church in 1951 under the leadership of Rev. Harris.
She leaves to cherish her memory, four sons Thomas Jefferson of Fort Wayne, Ind., Preston and Tiny Jefferson, Kenny McCraney, and Rickey McCraney all of Ratio; five daughters, Grace and Willie B. Otey, Theresa Young both of West Helena, Addie and Ira Ester of Dearfield, Bernice and Roy Jones of Oxford, Miss., and Barbara Turner of Elaine; a sister, Geneva Duncan, two cousins; 45 grandchildren, sixth four great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
Her husband preceded her in death as did two sons Melvin Jefferson and Hosea Jefferson.

Funeral services for Bobby Harris Jr., 70, of Marianna will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 13, 2003 at Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church 2787 State Route 243 South of Marianna. The Rev. Roosevelt Bowman will officiate.
Harris, born Nov. 25, 1932 to the late Bobbie and Katie B. Harris, died Sept. 5, 2003. He was married
to the late Erma Lee Bowman Harris and two children were born to their union.
He leaves two sons Bobby L. Harris III and Albert R. Harris; a brother, Tommy Lee Harris Sr., of Marianna; seven sisters, Marie Coleman, Hattie Little, Polly C. Moore, Geraldine Rucker, Susan Banks, Christine Vinson, and Katie Mae Harris, six grandchildren an two great-grandchildren; a sister-in-law Annie Harris; three brothers-in-law Fred Coleman, Eddie Moore and Carl Vinton, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and close friend Annie Bell Watson.

Griffin, born November 28, 1905, in Butler County, Missouri, died September 14, 2003, in Cave City. She was a homemaker.
She leaves one son, Leo Lloyd Griffin of Batesville; one daughter, Iva Evon Shelby of Columbus , Mississippi; nine grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; and five great great grandchildren.
Her husband, Otto Mark Griffin; her parents; and two sons, Horace and Johnny Griffin, proceed her in death.

Kines, born July 31, 1943 in poplar Grove, died Sept. 16, 2003 at Jefferson Regional Medical Center in Pine Bluff. He was baptized at Miracle Temple of deliverance where he continued worship. He was famous for his portrayal of others, his infectious smile and his undying trust and faith in the people who loved him. He attended M.M. Tate public school in Marvell.
He leaves a son, Alfred Kines Jr.; a granddaughter, Sequloyah Kines both of West Helena; three sisters, Geneva K. Brewer of Barton, Izola Sylar of Rochester, Gloria J. Nelson; brothers, Albert Nelson of Syracuse, N.Y., Fiance Mae Francis Powell and family of Rondo; and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins of other relatives and friends.

Mooney, boarn Dec. 14, 1941 in Eufaula, Ok., died Thursday, September 18, 2003 in West Helena.
She leaves her husband, Jack Mooney of West Helena; two daughters, Toni Rincon of West Helena and Tina green of Tunica, Ms.; two sons, Dewayne Smalley of Norman and Shawn Smalley of West Helena; two brothers, Po Jackson of West Helena and Roger Jackson of Norman; two sisters Joyce Johnson of De Valls Bluff and Debbie Walker of Norman, eleven grandchildren, and five great grandchildren.

She leaves five sisters, Norma Strawn of Collierville, Tenn., Helen Cherry of Hot Springs, Shirley Dye, Gladys Corley and Linda Bridges of Monticello; a son-in-law Jerry Richardson of Lexa; two grandsons Shane Richardson and Jeremy Richardson of Lexa; a granddaughter Aaron Swafford of Ward and two great-grandchildren.
Her husband William Hamilton Gibson III and a daughter Rena Gibson Richardson preceded her in death.
