Funeral services for Willie Thomas, 95 of West Helena will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Dec. 27, 2004 at the Phillips, Lee, Monroe and Desha District Center at Helena Crossing. The Rev. Lonnie Whitfield will officiate. Burial will be in Jackson Memorial cemetery in the Southland Community.

Thomas, born Oct. 6, 1908 in Eudora to Bill Thomas and Louise Reynolds Thomas, died Dec. 27, 2004 at his home. On March 6, 1954 he married
Lucinda Pitts-Thomas.
Thomas received Christ as his savior at an early age and united with the True Vine Baptist Church were he was a faithful member. His mother, Louise Reynolds-Thomas, a sister Lelia Ward, two brothers Ivory Thomas and Robert Thomas, preceded him in death.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife, Lucinda Thomas and children Willie Thomas Jr. and wife Malva of St. Louis, Eddie Thomas and wife Frances of West Helena; four daughters, Dorothy Kurt of Forrest City, Betty Sylvester of Hot Springs, Saddie Hanks of Benton and Gorland Thomas of Little Rock; ten nephews, two nieces, 15 grandchildren; 29 great grandchildren and eleven great great grandchildren and a host of relatives and friends.

Funeral services for Geneva Mae Cooper, 83, of West Helena will be held at 4 p.m. Friday, Aug. 22, 2003 at the chapel of Roller-Citizens Funeral Home in West Helena. The Rev. Rodger Hooker will officiate. Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Park in Barton.
Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. this evening at Roller-Citizens Funeral Home.
Cooper, born Nov. 27, 1919, at Trenton, died Aug. 19, 2003, in Little Rock. She was a retired employee of the shipping department at Bobbie Brooks.
She leaves a daughter, Joyce Mallard of West Helena; a son James Cooper of West Helena; two grandsons, Grady Garrison Jr. and wife Holly of West Helena and Donnie Cooper of Palestine; two granddaughters, Marie Cooper of Louisiana and Nickie Cooper of Forrest City; two great-granddaughters, Brittany Garrison of Louisiana and Kelsey Garrison of Searcy.
Her husband George W. Cooper and a son Bobby Jean Cooper preceded her in death.
Pallbearers will be Grady Garrison Jr., Donnie Cooper, Doug Ince, Robert Garrison, Herkie Pervis and Bob Morris.

Jones, died Monday, Aug. 18, 2003 at Helena Regional Medical Center. She was a Baptist and a homemaker.

Marjorie Ann Wells Russell, 70, died Thursday at her home in Marvell.

EDDIE F. FORD
Funeral services for Eddie Frances Ford, 100, of Helena will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 21, 2003 at the King Solomon Baptist Church in Helena. The Rev. Cedric Pride will officiate. Burial will be at Jackson Memorial cemetery in the Southland Community.
Ford, the tenth of thirteen children, was born Dec. 23, 1902 in Dublin, Miss., to the late Isom Edward and Eddiemonia Bolten, died Aug. 14, 2003 at Crestpark Nursing Home.
Visitation will be from 1 to 5 p.m. this afternoon at the chapel of Jackson and Highley Funeral Home in West Helena.
She confessed a hope in Christ at an early age under the leadership of Rev. Henderson at the New African Colony, near Alligator Lake, Miss. There she was active in her church until she moved to Helena on Jan. 4, 1928 to continue her career as a barber.
In April of 1920 she met and married
Clarence Ford and no children were born to their union.
She was a member of New Light Baptist Church and after her marriage joined her husband in attending the King Solomon Baptist Church in 1936.
Ford served in her church and in all auxiliaries and was an active member until becoming ill in 1986 and moving to Texas to recuperate.
She returned to Helena in 1987 and reunited with her church and served on the Usher Board, was a choir member, president of the Willing Workers, president of the Missionary Society, superintendent of the Sunday School and on the churches' Mother's board until her health failed. She remained a member of King Solomon Baptist Church until her death.
She leaves to cherish her memory a Goddaughter, Geraldine Starks of West Helena, nieces, Ollie and Daphne Raeford of West Helena, and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

James, born Feb. 9, 1950 to Nathan and Arlease James, died March 20, 2004 at Helena Regional Medical Center.
He confessed a hope in Christ at an early age. Jordan was a kind, loving person, who tried to help all he came in contact with.
He was a 1968 graduate of Central High School and later earned a Master's Degree at Loyola University in Chicago, Ill.
His mother, father, and a sister, Lola Greer preceded him in death.
He leaves to cherish his memory; a son Raymond Perry of Little Rock; two grandchildren Latesa and Joshua Perry of Little Rock; two brothers Orville E. and Lola James of Ferguson, Mo., Lloyd A. and Ella James of Helena; a sister Patricia and Kent Smith of Little Rock; an aunt, Lola Whitaker of West Helena and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.

Young was born Dec. 17 1928 to Richard and Aliene Adams, the youngest of six children. She died March 23, 2004 at Helena Regional Medical Center.
He accepted Christ under the leadership of Rev. McClain. She was a faithful member of the usher board until her health failed.
She married
the late Matthew Young and 14 children were born to their union. Three children, three sisters and her parents preceded her in death.
She leaves to cherish her memory eight daughters, Ethel Young Davis, Vera Young of Clarendon, Julie Young and Celestine Young of Faricoway, New York, Martha Young, Joyce Young of Holly Grove, Hattie Wallace of West Helena, Mary Lee Wesley, Gloria Young both of Marvell; three sons, Frankie Young, Oneida ; Sylvester Young and Lee Henry Young of Turner; a sister, Livonia Young of Lake View; a brother Richard Adams of Chicago, Ill., and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.

Funeral services for Myrtle S. Mayville, 81, of Conyers, Ga., were held at 2 p.m. Monday, March 28, 2004 at the chapel of Roller-Citizens Funeral Home. The Rev. J.L. Sanders officiated. Burial was in Sunset Memorial Park.
Mayville, born Jan. 12, 1923 in Woodruff, Ark., died March 26, 2004 in Conyers. She was a homemaker.
She leaves four sons and their families, Ernest and Dorothy Mayville of Helena, Howard and Ellene Mayville of Dayton, Ohio, Johnny Mayville of Elaine, and Harley and Beth Mayville of Clearwater, Fla., four daughters and their families, Mamie Stiles of Alma, Laverne and Cecil Newsom of Helena, Lottie and Billy Joe Bridges of Ft. Smith, Dian and Charles Mathews of Conyers, Ga., 23 grandchildren and several great grandchildren. Her husband Arville Mayville and a daughter Linda Simpson preceded her in death.
Pallbearers will be Arville Earnest Mayville III, Johnny Ray Steelman, John Mayville Jr., Jimmy Mayville, Chris Donahue and James Edward Farnsworth.

JOHN H. HOWE
Funeral services John Hornor Howe, 59, of Hot Springs Village and Little Rock, will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, March 30, 2004 at St. John's Episcopal Church in Helena. The Rev. Evelyn Hornaday will officiate. Burial will be at Maple Hill cemetery in Helena.
Howe died March 23, 2004 in Palm Springs, Ca. of injuries sustained when a car struck him. Howe was born to Otis and Harriet Howe of Wabash on May 7, 1944. Preceding him in death was a daughter, Lindsey Morrison Howe.
A daughter, The Rev. Heath Howe Civetta and husband Peter of Concord, New Hampshire; a son, Wilson Herrick Howe, of Little Rock; two grandchildren, Sophie and Eli Civetta; two brothers, Otis W. Howe Jr., and Jamie M. Howe of Helena; as well as a dear friend Virginia Young survive him.
Howe attended schools in Wabash and Helena and graduated from The Baylor School in Chattanooga, Tenn. He received a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from the University of Arkansas, Fayetteville, where he was a member of Sigma Chi fraternity. Howe was an avid Razorback fan and supporter.
For over 35 years, Howe enjoyed a successful financial consulting career that benefited numerous individuals, corporations and charitable organizations. He began his career in Helena, with the formation of John Howe Insurance Co. and was an active member of Rotary International. Later, E.F. Hutton employed him in Little Rock and he once achieved top status in sales nationwide in his division. Most recently, Howe operated Eagle Classics of Hot Springs Village, a golf memorabilia business.
Howe was an active Episcopalian and a former member of the Standing committee of the Episcopal Diocese of Arkansas. He was a member of St. Michael's Episcopal Church in Little Rock and attended Holy Trinity Episcopal Church in Hot Springs Village.
ELAINE C. CRACRAFT
Funeral services for Elaine Cracraft, 75, of Albion, will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 3, 2004 at Trinity Episcopal Church in Marshall. The Rev. Leonard Brinkmoeller will officiate. Burial will be in the Riverside cemetery in Albion, Mich.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until 8 p.m. Friday at the J. Kevin Tidd Funeral Home, 811 Finley Drive, Albion. The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m.
Cracraft, born July 17, 1928 in Jackson, Miss. to Mario and Lilih (Lard) Comfort, died March 25, 2004.
Cracraft was active in community affairs, including Camp Fire Girls, ELT, DAR and Pi Beta Phi. She was a member of the Albion Historical Society, Hospital Service League, A.I.M., Trinity Episcopal Church in Marshall, and always remained interested in southern heritage and traditions.
On February 12, 1955 she married
Scott Cracraft, who survived. Other survivors include two sons, Scott and Ellen Cracraft Jr., of Gilford, N.H., James and Holly Cracraft of Northville; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Her son George and a sister, Louise Chambers preceded her in death.
