DANNY JOE KAYLOR, A LONGTIME RESIDENT OF KOKOMO, INDIANA PASSED
AWAY SUNDAY, MARCH 9, 2003 IN AN INDIANAPOLIS, INDIANA HOSPITAL
AT THE AGE OF 47 YEARS. THE SON OF DAVID KAYLOR, AND LORETTA
(SWINEA) BURNS, HE WAS BORN JUNE 11, 1955 IN KOKOMO, INDIANA.
JOE WAS RETIRED FROM CHRYSLER CORP IN KOKOMO. HE LOVED CAMPING
AND NASCAR RACING.
HE IS SURVIVED BY HIS DAUGHTER, JODY KAYLOR OF CLEARWATER,
FLORIDA, BROTHER AND SISTER IN LAW, LARRY AND ELAINE KAYLOR OF
KOKOMO, INDIANA. HIS FATHER, DAVID KAYLOR OF QUITMAN, ARKANSAS,
HIS MOTHER, LORETTA BURNS OF HEBER SPRINGS, ARKANSAS. HE IS ALSO
SURVIVED BY UNCLES, AUNTS AND MANY COUSINS.
FUNERAL SERVICES WILL BE HELD AT THE SOUTH CROSS ROADS CHURCH
ON FRIDAY, MARCH 14, 2003 AT 2:00 PM WITH REV. JOHNNY COOPER
CONDUCTING THE SERVICE. VISITATION FOR FAMILY AND FRIENDS WILL BE
AT OLMSTEAD FUNERAL HOME, THURSDAY NIGHT. INTERMENT WILL BE IN THE
SOUTH CROSS ROADS cemetery.
Mr. Vernon Owen Moreland, Jr.
Mr. Vernon Owen Moreland, Jr. of Heber Springs, Arkansas, passed away Sunday,
March 9, 2003, at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in Little Rock,
Arkansas. Born in Benton Harbor, Michigan, on April 18, 1942, Mr. Moreland was
60 years of age. He was the son of the late Vernon Owen and Velma A. (Little)
Moreland, Sr.
A resident of Heber Springs since 1984, Mr. Moreland was a maintenance worker, and
he enjoyed fishing, motorcycling and riding around. He was a member of the Sugar
Loaf Baptist Church.
Survivors include:
his wife: Victoria (Christopher) Moreland of Heber Springs
two stepsons: Dean Cummings and Jason Murphree, both of Heber Springs
his father-in-law and mother-in-law: Waren and Jean Christopher of Heber Springs
and two step grandchildren.
Mr. Moreland is also survived by other relatives and his many friends.
Jeffrey Daniel Stair
Jeffrey Daniel Stair was born in White County on November 14, 1980. The Lord called him home on
Sunday, March 9, 2003. Jeff spent his 22-year life living in Heber Springs. He was a
member of Heber Springs Baptist Church and came to know the Lord at a young age.
He was a graduate of Heber Springs High School. He continued his education in the
boating industry where he also worked. Jeff also worked as a chef for a local restaurant.
Jeff always had an outstanding personality and always put others before himself. He was
compassionate, generous, kind, and always willing to help those in need.
His grandfather, Stanley Stair, preceded Jeff in death. Survivors include:

Jeff had a niece and five nephews that adored him in addition to having many other
family members and friends.
Neither words nor tears can express the love or loss we all have for Jeff, nor can we
totally express the joy he brought into our lives. The time he spent on this earth was
too short for those of us left without his smiling face. Jeff will always live in our
hearts and in heaven, never to be forgotten.
Visitation will be held Wedneday, March 12, from 4:30-7:00 P.M. at Olmstead Funeral
Home, Inc. Funeral services will be held Thursday, March 13, at 2:00 P.M. in the Heber
Springs Baptist Church with Bro. Mike Love officiating. Interment will follow in
Cleburne County Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be David Long, David Baldridge,
David Vaughan, Tommy D. Vaughan, Bruce Stair, Steve Haile, Jamie Heaver, and Sam

Mrs. Eva Bell Westerman
Mrs. Eva Bell Westerman of Heber Springs, Arkansas, passed away Friday, March 14,
2003, at Beverly HealthCare in Heber Springs. Born August 9, 1915, in Greenbrier,
Arkansas, Mrs. Westerman was 87 years of age. She was the daughter of the late Arthur
and Sally (Freeman) Earnhart.
Mrs. Westerman was a homemaker and had been a resident of Heber Springs most of
her life. She was a member of the Church of Christ.
Survivors include:
her husband, Otis Westerman of Heber Springs, AR
one son: Charles Pete Westerman of Russellville, AR
one daughter: Carolyn Barger of Heber Springs, AR
one brother: Walter Earnhart of Greenbrier, AR
and four grandchildren.
Mrs. Westerman is also survived by other relatives and her many friends.
Visitation will be held Sunday, March 16, from 6:00-9:00 P.M. at the Olmstead Funeral
Home, Inc. Funeral services will be held Monday, March 17, at the Olmstead Chapel
with Coy Dan Siddal officiating. Interment will follow in the Heber Springs cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Wayne Westerman, Wendell Westerman, Tommy Earnhart, Gene

Mrs. Jean N. Bradford
Mrs. Jean N. Bradford of Heber Springs, Arkansas, passed away Sunday, March 16,
2003, at Central Arkansas Hospital in Searcy, Arkansas. Born in Olla, Lousiana, on
August 18, 1927, Mrs. Bradford was 75 years of age. She was the daughter of the
late Henry Allen and Adelia (Reeves) Reed.
Mrs. Bradford was a retired bookkeeper and had been a resident of Heber Springs
since 1982. She was a member of the Eastern Star and First Baptist Church of Heber
Springs. Her husband, Alva Curtis Bradford, Jr., preceded her in death in 1994.
Survivors include:
three sons: Al Bradford of Atlanta, Georgia
John Bradford of Kansas City, Missouri
and Allen Bradford of Chicago, Illinois
one sister: Henrietta Hampton
and six grandchildren.
Mrs. Bradford is also survived by other relatives and her many friends.
A memorial service for Mrs. Bradford will be held Wednesday, March 19, at 10:30 A.M.
at Cleburne County Memorial Gardens with Bro. Hugh Nelson officiating.

Mr. Clark McKinley Sturch
Mr. Clark McKinley Sturch of Wilburn, Arkansas, passed away at his home on Thursday,
March 20, 2003. Born at Magness, Arkansas, on May 14, 1917, Mr. Sturch was 85 years
of age. He was the son of the late William Shirley and Ida (Pennington) Sturch.
Mr. Sturch had been a resident of the Tyler, Hiram, and Wilburn area all of his adult life.
He was a retired mechanic and farmer, and he enjoyed gardening. His religious belief
was Church of God.
Survivors include:
his wife: Louise Emmajane (Ellis) Sturch of Wilburn, Arkansas
three sons: Darrell Sturch of Niceville, Florida
Floyd Sturch of Gurdon, Arkansas
and Douglas Sturch of Ida, Arkansas
one daughter: Patsy Kratsch of Laguna Woods, California
one brother: William Tanner Sturch of Kokomo, Indiana
12 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, and 1 great, great grandchild.
Mr. Sturch is also survived by other relatives and his many friends.
Services will be held Saturday, March 22, at 10:00 A.M. in the Wilburn Community
Church with Rev. Randy Altom and Conrad and Marilyn Dawkins officiating. Interment
will follow in Magness Chapel cemetery. Grandchildren will serve as pallbearers.

Mrs. Erma Fay Graves
Mrs. Erma Fay Graves of North Little Rock, widow of William K. Graves, passed away Sunday, March 23, 2003. She was born August 11, 1933, in Heber Springs, Ark., to Bill and Amanda (Foust) Reeves. Erma was an employee of B.N. Sinkey Co. in North Little Rock for 25 years and enjoyed meeting people and making new friends.
Erma has joined her husband, parents and brother Gene Reeves who preceded her in physical death.
Survivors include her two daughters and sons-in-law, Jan and Steve Nicholas of North Little Rock and Brenda and Bob Bradley of Conway; sister and brother-in-law Betty and Homer Stephens, two nieces Nancy Stephens and Judy Perry, sister-in-law Mildred Reeves and nephews C.R. and Lester Reeves of Duncanville, Texas, and three great nieces and one great great niece; and numerous friends and family.
The family would like to thank Dr. Lawrence Mendelsohn, the staff of Little Rock Hematology/Oncology Associates, P.A. for their many months of care and support. Arkansas Hospice - Ft. Roots for their care and compassion.

Mrs. Frances Margaret Speraw
Mrs. Frances Margaret Speraw of Heber Springs, Arkansas, passed away Wednesday,
March 26, 2003, in Collierville, Tennessee, at the Health and Rehab Center. Born in
Livermore, Iowa, on April 10, 1913, Mrs. Speraw was 89 years of age. She was the
daughter of the late John and Libbie M. (Loomer) Johnson.
Mrs. Speraw moved to Heber Springs in 1971 and was a retired nurse and ward clerk.
She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Heber Springs. She was
preceded in death by her husband, Harold W. Speraw.
Survivors include:
one son: Don Speraw of Memphis, Tennessee
one sister: Winnie Falb of Humboldt, Iowa
two grandchildren: Randy and Donna
and five great grandchildren.
Mrs. Speraw is also survived by other relatives and her many friends.

Mrs. Lavena V. McCall
Mrs. Lavena V. McCall of Heber Springs, Arkansas, passed away Wednesday,
March 26, 2003, at her home. Born in Beebe, Arkansas, on January 8, 1918,
Mrs. McCall was 85 years of age. She was the daughter of the late Floyd and Lydia
(Busbea) Bomar.
Mrs. McCall was a loving homemaker and mother. She had been a resident of Heber
Springs since 1980, and she was a member of the Heber Springs First Baptist Church.
Survivors include:
