Mrs. Henrietta Ingram, age 89, of Prim, Arkansas, passed away at her home on Wednesday, November 26, 2003. Born in Prim, Arkansas, on May 30, 1914, she was the daughter of the late James Henry and Bessie Ferne (Coppele) Everett. Mrs. Ingram was a resident of Prim and Parma most of her life. She was a retired nurse s aid, and she was member of the Parma Full Gospel Church. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Daniel Smartt. Survivors include two daughters, Nancy Everett of Prim, AR and Zelma Osburn of Parma, AR two sisters, Clarice Dollar of Parma, AR and Betty Jo Duncan of Pacific, Missouri and many grandchildren and great grandchildren. Mrs. Ingram is also survived by other relatives and her many friends.

Mrs. Willie Laverne Berry
Mrs. Willie Laverne Berry, age 80, of Shirley, Arkansas, passed away Thursday, November 20, 2003, at Baptist Health Medical Center in Little Rock, Arkansas. Born on December 19, 1922, at Shirley, Arkansas, she was the daughter of the late Charlie J. and Leona (Nixon) Huggins. Mrs. Berry was a lifetime resident of Shirley. She was a homemaker and a member of Pleasant Valley Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Claudie Lee Berry, Sr., who passed away on October 6, 1997. Mrs. Berry was also preceded in death by four brother, Huey, C. J., George, and Homer Huggins, one sister, Lydia Crew, and one grandson, Alex Kirkendoll. Survivors include two sons, Claudie Berry, Jr. of Shirley, AR and Jimmy Berry of Fairfield Bay, AR four daughters, Rhonda Carlton, Lavern Bolden, and Gail Kirkendoll, all of Shirley, AR and Kathy Berry of Houston, Texas one sister, Betty Moss of Shirley, AR thirteen grandchildren and twenty great grandchildren. Mrs. Berry is also survived by other relatives and her many friends.

Mrs. Blanche Bailey, age 81, of Greers Ferry, Arkansas, passed away at her home on Sunday, November 23, 2003. Born at Lone Pine, Arkansas, on March 9, 1922, she was the daughter of the late John Virgil and Tabitha (Nail) Bailey. Mrs. Bailey was a lifetime resident of Greers Ferry. She was a homemaker and a member of Shiloh Cross Roads Church. Survivors include: her husband, Ewing Bailey of Greers Ferry, AR, one son, Terry Bailey of Greers Ferry, AR, three daughters, Diane Bailey and Doris Moore, both of Greers Ferry, AR, and Phoebe Harris of West Palm Beach, Florida, one brother, Eddie Jack Bailey of Peoria, Illinois, six grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Mrs. Phyllis Jean Klober, age 64, of Greers Ferry, Arkansas, passed away Thursday, November 20, 2003, at Baptist Health Medical Center in Little Rock, Arkansas. Born September 21, 1939, at West City, Illinois, she was the daughter of the late Glen and Ursula (Bybee) Mumbower. In 1985 Mrs. Klober bought a home in Greers Ferry. She was a data programmer for Electronic Data Associates of Little Rock. She enjoyed her hobbies of sewing and ceramics. Mrs. Klober was a member of the Lone Star Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by one stepson, Roy L. Klober, Jr. Survivors include her husband, Roy L. Klober of Greers Ferry, AR one son, Bill Meek, Jr. of Knoxville, Tennessee one stepson, Terry Dean Klober of Fairfield Bay, AR one half sister, Jolene Williamson four grandchildren, Heather Gibson, Rhonda Ford, Melissa Meek, and Billy Meek, III five step-grandchildren, Joshua D. Klober, Chad E. Klober, Chasity Talley, Tyler Wright, and Tanya Wright one great grandchild, Gabriel Lee Gibson and one step great grandchild, Riley D. Klober. Mr. Andrew Jasper Newby, Jr., age 73, of Richmond, California, passed away Friday, November 21, 2003, at Vale Health Care Center in San Pablo, California. Born November 25, 1929, in Oklahoma, Mr. Newby was the son of the late Andrew Jasper Newby, Sr. and Esta Brown Newby. He was a carpenter and had been a resident of California since 1960. Mr. Newby is survived by: his brother, Winston Newby his nephew, Winston Newby, Jr. of Wasilla, Alaska his nieces, Carrie Newby, Margarett McCuloch, Nancy Newby, Lee Ann Newby, and Kelly Prinz and sister-in-law, Carol Newby. Mr. Kurt Alfred Hartig
Mr. Kurt Alfred Hartig, age 83, of Fairfield Bay, Arkansas, passed away at his home on Thursday, November 20, 2003. Born at Paterson, New Jersey, on April 25, 1920, he was the son of the late Kurt Lewis and Frieda (Silberberger) Hartig. Mr. Hartig was a retired chemist for G.A.F., a chemical and building products company. He and his wife Adele had been residents of Fairfield Bay for ten years. In 1941 Kurt volunteered to serve in the United States Army. After serving in the Army, he married
the girl next door on November 22, 1947. Mr. Hartig was an active volunteer at the Fairfield Bay Recycle Center, a member of the Coast Guard Auxiliary, a member of the Audubon Society, and the Fairfield Bay United Methodist Church, where he served as an usher. Survivors include: his wife, Adele (Williams) Hartig of Fairfield Bay, AR, two sons, Kurt Hartig of Bayville, New Jersey, and Kevin Hartig of Colorado Springs, Colorado, and five grandchildren, Kiri, Sean, Sarah, Daniel, and Kurt. Mr. Hartig is also survived by other relatives and his many friends.

Alexandria Taylor was born in Searcy, on January 10, 2001 and passed away in Little Rock, on November 21, 2003 at 2 years of age. Alexandria attended the First Baptist Church and is survived by her parents, grandparents David and Kay Taylor of Wilburn, Jerry Killion and Marsha McCurry of Heber Springs, Aunts and Uncles: Randy and Shay Morris, Terry and Rachel Lynn and Chris Reynolds. Mr. Joseph Kurzeak, age 81, of Heber Springs, Arkansas, passed away at his home on Sunday, November 16, 2003. Born in Catlin Center, New York, on November 30, 1921, Mr. Kurzeak was the son of the late John and Eva (Jerwerski) Kurzeak. He was a retired builder and had been a resident of Heber Springs since 1976. He enjoyed trout fishing. Mr. Kurzeak was a veteran of World War II, having served in the U.S. Army. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Heber Springs. He was preceded in death by one son, Philip Bray. Survivors include his wife, Mary Marie (Weatherly) Kurzeak of Heber Springs his grandson, John Bray and wife, Julie, of Shongaloo, Louisiana and his daughter-in-law, Sandi Bray of Pontotoc, Mississippi Mr. Kurzeak is also survived by other relatives and his many friends.

Patricia Lynn Beavers, age 30, of Heber Springs, Arkansas, passed away Monday, November 17, 2003, at the Central Arkansas Hospital in Searcy, Arkansas. Born in Heber Springs, Arkansas, on July 3, 1973, Patricia was the daughter of Imogene (Adcock) Clevenger and the late Michael B. Beavers. She was a lifetime resident of Cleburne County, and her religious belief was Baptist. Survivors include her mother, Imogene Clevenger of Evansville, Indiana her brother, Michael Beavers her sister, Tammy Lucille Beavers and her grandmothers, Lucille Adcock and Lena Beavers, all of Heber Springs, AR Patricia is also survived by other relatives and her many friends.

Frank B. Mentel
Frank B. Mentel age 94 passed away Sunday, November 16, 2003 in the Indian Rock Village Nursing Home. He was born in New York City, February 25, 1909, the son of the late Benedict Mentel and Josefa Stocka Mentel. He was born in New York City and lived in both Astoria and Copiague, New York until he moved to Fairfield Bay in 2002. Frank was a member of Jan bus Presbyterian Church in New York City. He was a printer by trade and claimed that a very distant relative worked on the Guttenberg Bible. Frank was exceptionally proud to have served his country in the United States Army, during World War II as a staff sergeant with the 42nd Rainbow division in the European theatre. He was a good man and lived a long and happy life. He is now in the company of angels with his beloved wife, Alike, to whom he was married
for 62 years. He is survived by his sister; Marry Vajda of Savannah Georgia and niece, Marianne Horan and husband Tom of Savannah, Georgia. Nephews, Albert Vajda and wife, Sharon of Greers Ferry, Arkansas and Paul Vajda of Batesville, Arkansas. He is also survived by grand nieces and nephews, T.J. Horan of Del Mar, CA., Kimberly and Neal Rhone of Lewisville, TX., Michael and Jordan Horan of Charleston, SC., Michael and Beth Ann Vajda of Cranford, NJ., Stephen Vajda of Oakland, CA., and Allison Vajda of Albuquerque, NM.

Mr. Joseph R. Dick Nowak, age 78, of Heber Springs, Arkansas, passed away Saturday, November 15, 2003, at the Baptist Hospital in Jackson, Mississippi. Born in Bay Shore, New York, on August 23, 1925, Mr. Nowak was the son of the late Joseph and Josephine (Levandoski) Nowak, Sr. He was a retired motel owner and operator. Mr. Nowak was a veteran of World War II, having served in the United States Navy. His religious belief was Lutheran. Mr. Nowak was preceded in death by his wife, Hazel, on May 19, 2003. He was also preceded in death by one brother, Robert Nowak. Survivors include two sons, Rick Nowak of Brooklyn, New York and Steve Nowak of Jackson, Mississippi one brother, Peter Nowak of Long Island, New York four grandchildren and three great grandchildren. The hobbies she enjoyed include crafts and camping. Her religious belief was Methodist. She was a registered nurse and worked for White County Medical Center, Beverly HealthCare Baxter County, and Conway Regional Medical Center. Melody loved animals. She was preceded in death by one sister, Linda Croney. Mr. George A. Tomlinson
Mr. George A. Tomlinson, age 70, of Heber Springs, Arkansas, passed away Thursday, November 6, 2003, at the Central Arkansas Hospital in Searcy, Arkansas. Born in Crawfordsville, Indiana, on January 14, 1933, he was the son of the late Lawrence Austin and Agnes Viola (Moody) Tomlinson. He was raised in Danville, Illinois, and he was a graduate of Danville High School. Mr. Tomlinson was a retired equipment salesman, pilot and A & P mechanic, and I-A inspector. He served in the United States Marine Corps and was a member of the American Legion. Mr. Tomlinson was a member of Quiet Birdman, AOPA, NRA, the Jaycees of Danville, Illinois, General Contractor Association in St. Croix, Virgin Islands, and the Heber Springs Airport Commission. His religious belief was Protestant. Survivors include his wife, Hellen Marie (Martin) Tomlinson of Heber Springs, Arkansas three sons, Mark Allen Tomlinson of Fairbanks, Alaska Scott Allen Tomlinson of Concord, North Carolina and Rex Allen Tomlinson of Anchorage, Alaska one aunt, Rebecca Perigo and her husband, Don, of Waynetown, Indiana and four grandchildren, Scott Allen Tomlinson, Jr. and Ryan Allen Tomlinson of Kannapolis, North Carolina Austin Allen Tomlinson of Seaside, Oregon and Victoria Jean (Tori) Tomlinson of Phoenix, Arizona.
