Anastastia Rebecca Lynn Mix of Quitman, Arkansas, the daughter of Lennie Mix and Becky (Wright) Mix passed away Friday, August 12, 2005 in the Arkansas Children's Hospital at Little Rock, Arkansas at the age of fifteen years. She was born March 18, 1991 at Searcy, Arkansas. She had been a student at Quitman and also at West Side School at Greers Ferry, Arkansas, and had participated in school activities and was a cheerleader, she would have been in the 9th grade this year. She was preceded in death by her grandfather Jackson T. Mix. She is survived by her parents, Lennie and Becky Mix, her sister Beth Sanders of Heber Springs, aunts and uncles, Greg and Angie Mix, Heber Springs, Tom and Shawn Mix of Mt. Vernon, Robin Mix of Searcy, Kim Rankin of Greenbrier, Karen and Timothy Melchione of Boston, Massachusetts, Rachelle and Shelby Janes of Quitman, Billy and Brenda Wright of Niceville, Florida and James and Kimberly Wright of Gulf Shores, Alabama and her grandmother Mary Mix. She is also survived by other Relatives and her friends.
Services will be held Tuesday, August 16, 2005 in the Pearson Palestine Baptist Church at 10:00 am with Bro. Matthew Corkran officiating. Interment will follow in the Pearson cemetery. Pallbearers will be C.D. Wright, Greg Mix, Tom Mix, Howard Mix, James Wright and Ty Norris.

Kin Bruce Claunch
Kin Bruce Claunch the son of Johnny Ross and Valerie Edwards Claunch was born in Little Rock, Arkansas on March 28, 1942 and passed away in Heber Springs, Arkansas on August 10, 2005 at the age of 63 years. Kin attended Hendrix College and UALR and worked in carpentry and for the DFA before coming to Heber Springs in 1973 and practicing as a public accountant. He was a member of the Methodist Church and the Optimist Club where he coached baseball. He enjoyed his grandchildren, fishing, traveling, spelunking, writing and sitting in the sunshine. He is survived by his wife Joaquin "Jo" Harmon Claunch, two children Patti Westerman, Bruce Claunch and wife, Candy. Two step-sons Benjamin Damron and Brett Rolen, two brothers Johnnie Claunch and wife Marsha and Paul Claunch and wife Marie. One Grandson Jimmy Westerman and Four Granddaughters Tiffany Westerman, Arin Claunch, Tonya Claunch and Kailey Claunch, One Nephew Jack Claunch and Two Nieces Anne Marie Morse and Brittany Leahman, One Great Niece and One Great Nephew besides other relatives and many friends.
A memorial service will be held Saturday August 13, 2005 at 3:00 p.m. in the Olmstead Funeral Chapel by Rev. John Miles. Honorary Pallbearers will be Jack Jones, Larry Johnson, Brady Ervin, Bob Dwyer, Sammy Lester and Ronnie Flynn. Arrangements by Olmstead Funeral Home, Inc. of Heber Springs.
Buel Wallace
Buel Wallace, who was lovingly known as "Arkie", passed away on Sunday, August 7, 2005, in Tempe, Arizona, at the age of 76. Born on November 1, 1928 in Heber Springs, Arkansas, he was the son of the late William D. and Delia (Overly) Wallace and the baby of nine children. He is survived by his wife, Shirley Lee Wallace; five children, Jeanette Wallace Brown, Richard Boring, Roxanne Morris, Lee Ann Hinton, and Bill Marrs; one sister, Geraldine Wallace Hana; and eight grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held Tuesday, August 16, at 10:00 a.m. at the Heber Springs cemetery. Arrangements are by Olmstead Funeral Home, Inc.
Edward Frank White
Edward Frank White, age 65, of Heber Springs, Arkansas, passed away Tuesday, August 9, 2005, at the Baptist Health Medical Center in Little Rock, Arkansas. Born in Huntington, New York, on August 18, 1939, he was the son of the late Edward George and Ann (Persson) White. Mr. White was a retired Navy pilot. He is survived by daughter, Kristine White of Marshfield, Missouri.

Robert Edwin Low
Robert Edwin Low, age 86, of Rose Bud, Arkansas, passed away Sunday, August 7, 2005, at Beverly Health Care in Heber Springs, Arkansas. Born in Portland, Oregon, on September 9, 1918, he was the son of the late Charles Wesley and Olive Mary (Educumb) Low. Mr. Low was retired from the United States Air Force with thirty years of service. A former resident of Salem, Missouri, he moved to Rose Bud in 1987. Mr. Low enjoyed reading, and his religious belief was Methodist. He was preceded in death by his wife, Anna Mae (Renken) Low. Survivors include two sons, Charles Michael Low and Brian David Low, both of Heber Springs, one stepson, Theador Horn of Long Branch, New Jersey; two stepdaughters, Theresa Tincher of Crab Orchard, West Virginia, and Donna Bradshaw and her husband, Tom, of Rose Bud; two brothers, James Low of Garden Grove, California, and Donald Low of Springfield, Oregon; eight grandchildren, Jennifer Hufkins of Little Rock, Christopher Tincher of Belleville, Illinois, Justin Bradshaw of Rose Bud, Anna Plumbley of Beckley, West Virginia, Jon Nathan Bradshaw of Searcy, David Horn, Douglas Horn, and Shane Horn; and five great-grandchildren, Jon Nathan Bradshaw, Jr., Zachary Tincher, Lauren Plumbley, Gavin Martin Bradshaw, and Wyatt Bradshaw. Mr. Low is also survived by other relatives and his many friends.

Mrs. Ocie Fern Bittle
Mrs. Ocie Fern Bittle, age 83, of Heber Springs, Arkansas, passed away at her home on Wednesday, August 3, 2005. Born in Prim, Arkansas, on April 14, 1922, she was the daughter of the late Oliver and Emily (Butler) Knapp. Mrs. Bittle had been a resident of Heber Springs since 1968. She was a homemaker who helped her husband with farming, and she was also a former employee of the Glove Corporation where she worked for thirty-one years. Mrs. Bittle enjoyed traveling, camping, sewing, and working in her yard. She was a member of the Cleburne County Baptist Church. Her husband, James Thurman Bittle, preceded her in death on October 14, 2003. She is survived by one son, Wendell Bittle and his wife, Betty; three daughters, Norma Jean Martin and her husband, Sherlon, Kay Davis and her husband, L. J., and Kathy Atkins and her husband, Danny; two brothers, Edward Knapp and Dwayne Knapp; three sisters, Earlene Long, Violet Stewart, and Shirley Caudell; thirteen grandchildren, and nineteen great-grandchildren. Mrs. Bittle is also survived by other relatives and her many friends.

"Vic" Don Williams of Heber Springs, Arkansas, formerly of Black Oak, Arkansas, passed away Friday, July 29, 2005, at his home. Born April 12, 1949 [SSDI says the 27th], at Monette, Arkansas, to the late Jack and Pauline (Bass) Williams, he was 56 years of age. Vic had lived in Heber Springs for the last 40 years where he was a neon sign maker. He was a Christian, a Navy veteran of 7 years, having served in Vietnam, and a member of the VFW. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, David Williams; a brother, Dearl Williams, and a daughter-in-law, Bonnie Noble. He is survived by his wife, Alanna (Huckaba) Williams, three sons, Donnie Williams of Boswell, OK, Jessie Williams of Memphis, TN, and Sam Noble of Heber Springs, two daughters, Leslie Price of Mt. Rev. Horton A. Goodin
Rev. Horton A. Goodin, age 83, of Heber Springs, Arkansas, passed away Wednesday, July 27, 2005, at Baptist Health Medical Center in Little Rock, Arkansas. Born in Limestone County, Alabama, on October 14, 1921, he was the son of the late Martin L. and Lula (Amerson) Goodin. A resident of Heber Springs since 1996, Rev. Goodin was a retired Baptist minister. He was a veteran of World War II, having served in the United States Army. Survivors includehis wife, Molly (Wallace) Goodin of Heber Springs; one daughter, Geneva Taylor of Heber Springs; one brother, Eugene Goodin; one sister, Irene Crawford; four grandchildren, Karen Staats, Christy Greenlee, Kevin Ray Taylor, and Carla Parker; eight great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild.Rev. Steven Mark McCaskill
Steven Mark McCaskill, age 43, of Heber Springs, Arkansas, passed away at his home on Thursday, July 28, 2005. Born in Greenville, Mississippi, on August 11, 1961, he was the son of Bill and Gladys (Shepeard) McCaskill. Mark was a former resident of Mississippi and Georgia. In 1994, he moved to Heber Springs and was the owner and operator of Dirt Works of Heber Springs. Mark enjoyed riding motorcycles, and he was loved by many people. His religious belief was Baptist. Survivors include: his wife, Holly (Van Pelt) McCaskill of Heber Springs; his parents, Bill and Gladys McCaskill of Heber Springs; and one brother, David McCaskill of South China, Maine. Mark is also survived by other relatives and his many friends.

Sherri Jane Willis, age 47, of Heber Springs, Arkansas, passed away Thursday, August 25, 2005, at the University of Arkansas for Medical Science in Little Rock. Born in Pine Bluff, Arkansas, on December 17, 1957, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Ouida (Tucker) Vinson. Sherri was a gardener. Her religious belief was Baptist. She was preceded in death by her parents and her beloved dear twin brother, Bubba Vinson. She is survived by her husband, Roy Willis of Heber Springs; one son, Justin Bonham of Heber Springs; one daughter, DeAnna Willis of Heber Springs; three brothers, Pat Vinson and Michael Vinson, both of Rose Bud, and Larry Vinson of Pine Bluff; two sisters, Joy Holeman of Rose Bud and Donna Clay of Joy; and a very special sister-in-law, Sharon Vinson of Rose Bud. Sherri is also survived by other relatives and her many friends.

Veronica Jade Verser, infant daughter of Jeremy Glenn Verser and Ashley Marie Meredith of Heber Springs, Arkansas, was born and passed away on Tuesday, August 23, 2005 at Central Arkansas Hospital in Searcy, Arkansas. She was preceded in death by her great-grandfather, George Meredith. Survivors include: her parents, Jeremy Verser and Ashley Meredith; her grandparents, Randy and Julia Verser, and Bob and Pam Meredith; her great-grandparents, Marcella James, Jim and Sue House, Ruby Verser, Bill and Polly Verser, Larry and Dorothy Swint, Herbert and Martha Weinberger, and Carolyn Meredith, her great, great grandmother, Verniece Horton. her uncle, Shadd Meredith and her aunts, Amber Meredith and Emily Meredith. Veronica is also survived by her great aunts and uncles and her cousins as well as friends of the family.

Linda Kaye Stark Dunn Hutto, age 55, of Greers Ferry, Arkansas, passed away at her home on Wednesday, August 17, 2005. Born in Heber Springs, Arkansas, on January 28, 1950, she was the daughter of J. W. Stark and the late Mary Alice "Tookie" (Walters) Stark. A lifetime resident of Greers Ferry, Linda was employed a housekeeper. She enjoyed fishing, gardening, and flowers. Linda was a member of the Lone Star Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Bobby Dunn; her mother, Tookie Stark; and two sisters, Glenda and Katherine. Survivors include her husband, Walter Hutto of Greers Ferry; one son, Terry Dunn of Sunny Slope; one daughter, Tonya Allison of Hot Springs; her father, J. W. Stark of Sunny Slope; one brother, Jerry Stark of Heber Springs; and one granddaughter, Alyssa. Linda is also survived by other relatives and her many friends.

William Everett Six
William Everett Six, age 87, of Quitman, Arkansas, passed away Tuesday, September 27, 2005, at Hospice Home Care in Little Rock, Arkansas. Born December 8, 1917, at Woodrow, Arkansas, he was the son of the late Edward and Sarah Addie (Everett) Six. A lifetime resident of Cleburne County, Mr. Six was a farmer and timber worker. He enjoyed his hobbies of coon hunting and sports, and he was a member of the Disabled American Veterans. Mr. Six was the first resident of Cleburne County to be drafted for World War II. For three years he served in the United States Army as a front line soldier and machine gunner. Mr. Six was a member of the Rose Bud Church of Christ. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Paul Six and Luther Six; and two sisters, Beulah Westerman and Jackie Manker. Mr. Six is survived by his wife of fifty-nine years, Lorene (Trammell) Six of Quitman; two daughters, Sharon Phillips and her husband, Don, of Quitman, and Charolette Graham and her husband, Don, of Dardanelle; his 94 year old sister, Verta Stone of Heber Springs; six grandchildren, Tyrell (Ty) Phillips, Shanna Mozeko, Tamara Looney, Gigi Wagner, Coby Graham, and Charles Graham; and five great-grandchildren, Haley Phillips, Connor Phillips, Reid Mozeko, Jace Mozeko, and Chase Wagner. Mr. Six is also survived by other relatives and his many friends.

Larry Dean Sprinkle
Larry Dean Sprinkle, age 35, of Rose Bud, Arkansas, passed away Saturday, September 24, 2005, at Baptist Health Medical Center in Heber Springs. Born in Fairbanks, Arkansas, on February 23, 1970, he was the son of Marvin Gene and Mary Daphene (Ezell) Sprinkle. Larry was employed as a truck driver for Razorback Concrete. A resident of Heber Springs for most of his life, he enjoyed motorcycles. Larry was a member of Liberty Hill Praise and Worship Center. He is survived by his wife, Tina Faye (Presser) Sprinkle; one son, Dillon Dean Sprinkle; three daughters, Allison Faye Sprinkle, Brittney Leeann Sprinkle, and Crystal Nicole Sprinkle; his parents: Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Sprinkle one brother, Bobby R. Sprinkle; two sisters, Donna Jean May and Melanie Huff; his grandfather, Baycell R. Sprinkle; and his aunts and uncles. Larry is also survived by other relatives and his many friends.

Helen Angela Hill White
Helen Angela Hill White was born in Cotton Plant, Arkansas, November 27, 1915.
Her parents were John William Hill and Vashti Mooring Hill who were descendents of early settlers in Woodruff County, Paul and Lula Shelton Hill and Captain John Blackwell and Emma Angela Johnson Mooring. After graduating from the Cotton Plant High School in 1934 she attended Arkansas State Teacher's College in Conway, Arkansas, and graduated with a Bachelor of Education Degree in 1938. Helen's two brothers William Mooring Hill and Paul Blackwell Hill predeceased her.
She taught the first and second grades in the Cherry Valley, Arkansas school system for three years. On June 5, 1941 she married
James Ellis White, also a former resident of Cotton Plant, who was employed by the Standard Oil Company of Louisiana. During the fourteen years residence in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, she became the mother of Anita Louise and Virginia Carol. Helen was active in the Sunday School of the First Presbyterian Church, served on the Board of the Baton Rouge Girls Scouts and participated in several local service groups during World War II.
In 1955 she and her family moved to Chatham, New Jersey. She became active in the Ogden Memorial Presbyterian church and in the school PTA. Upon graduation from the Chatham High School both daughters attended and graduated from the University of Delaware with Bachelor of Education Degrees. In 1966 Helen and Jim were transferred to London, England. From her home in Epsom, Surrey, England Helen developed two interesting hobbies, brass rubbing and attending country auctions. During her eleven years in England she transferred over 350 brass images set in the floors of the old Norman churches onto paper. Also during her stay she attended lectures and tours of the museums, manor houses, silver vaults, Houses of Parliament and churches that provided a background for her visits to the country auctions. Holiday trips and joining her husband on business trips took her to most of the countries in Europe and to Iran.
Upon Jim's retirement in 1977 they moved to Montville, New Jersey, to be near their daughters. She renewed participation in activities of the Ogden Memorial Presbyterian church in Chatham, became a volunteer in a nursing home and caught up on the activities of her five growing grandchildren. The eldest daughter Anita is the mother of Christine Elizabeth and Jeffery Clayton, Virginia "Ginger" is the mother of Heather Lliane, Carrie Michelle, and Tawny Whitehill.
In October 1987 Helen and Jim moved to Fairfield Bay, Arkansas. Helen became an active member in several organizations, including Questers Antiques, AARP, Audubon and The Literary Club.
She is survived by her husband James E. White, two daughters, Anita Wellings of White Plains, NY, and Ginger Lane of Bakersfield, CA. Five grandchildren, Christine Miller of Brandon, FL, Jeffery Quinn of Valley Cottage, NY, Heather Olson of Palo Alto, CA, Carrie Chet of Fullerton, CA and Tawny Lane of Chicago, IL and one great grand child, Megan Elizabeth Olson.

Lorene Mary Boyd, age 91, of Quitman, Arkansas, passed away at her home on Monday, September 19, 2005. Born in Rose Bud, Arkansas, on August 10, 1914, she was the daughter of the late Riley and Elizabeth (Adcock) Forbus. Mrs. Boyd was a homemaker and mother. Her religious belief was Primitive Baptist. Her husband, Granville Boyd, preceded her in death on February 23, 1994. Mrs. Boyd is survived by four sons, Gerald Boyd of Quitman, Lynn Boyd and Ron Boyd, both of California, and Gary Boyd of Iowa; one daughter, Hazel Donelson of California; 15 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren, and 5 great-great-grandchildren. Mrs. Boyd is also survived by other relatives and her many friends.

Patricia Ann (Guetschow) Grant, age 45, of Heber Springs, Arkansas, passed away Sunday, September 18, 2005, near Russell, Arkansas. Born in Newport, Arkansas, on October 9, 1959, she was the daughter of Joyce Bernice Hodge Guetschow and the late Gerald Lee Guetschow. Patricia was employed as a machine operator, and she enjoyed crafts, flowers, and plants. She attended Complete in Christ Nondenominational Church. Patricia was preceded in death by her father and one sister, Lisa Gail Guetschow. She is survived by one son, Briar Grant of Drasco;one daughter, Ashley Maple Adams of Heber Springs; her mother, Joyce Bernice Hodge Guetschow of Illinois; three brothers, Gerald Lee Guetschow, Jr. of Arizona, Michael Guetschow of Illinois, and Russell Guetschow of Texarkana; and her nephew, Joel Guetschow of Illinois.Patricia is also survived by other relatives and her many friends.

Roger James MacMurray
Roger James MacMurray, son of the late Roger J. and Irene (Carringer) MacMurray, passed away Friday, September 16, 2005 at Ozark Health Medical Center in Clinton, AR. Born August 11, 1921 at Okmulgee, Oklahoma, he was 84 years of age. Roger was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church of Fairfield Bay, AR, V.F.W., Knights of Columbus, Fairfield Bay Animal Protection League, Little Red River Audubon Society, and a U.S. Navy veteran. He was a lubricationengineer for Chevron-Texaco Oil and Gas Company. He and his wife Jeanne moved to Fairfield Bay in 1987 from Littleton, CO. Besides his parents, Roger was preceded in death by one brother, John W. MacMurray, and two sisters, Mary L. Ford and Elizabeth Williams. He is survived by his wife, Jeanne Marie (Young) MacMurray of Fairfield Bay, AR; one son, Randall Lee MacMurray of Shreveport, LA; one daughter, Cathleen Addis of Ft. Smith, AR; four grandchildren, Ashley Lake Richey, Jessica Rose Cochenour, Carson James Addis, and Katie Jane MacMurray; two great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many friends.

Bill Elser officiating. Interment with military honors followed at Woodland Memorial Park, Edgemont, AR. Dorothy May (Johnson) Swint
Dorothy May (Johnson) Swint, age 62, of Wilburn, Arkansas, passed away at her home on Friday, September 16, 2005. Born in Oakdale, Louisiana, on May 29, 1943, she was the daughter of Mabel Dorothy (Verheyden) Johnson and the late Oscar Johnson. Dorothy was a waitress, and she was a member of the Wilburn General Baptist Church and the Gideon Auxiliary. She was also a member of Baptist Health Medical Center Auxiliary and was named the 2005 BHMC Heber Springs Auxiliarian of the Year. Dorothy was preceded in death by her father and one sister, Mary Evelyn Lee. She is survived by her husband, Larry L. Swint of Wilburn, AR; one son, Vernon Blake Swint of Kellogg, Idaho; one daughter, Pam Meredith of Wilburn; her mother, Mabel Dorothy Johnson of Dallas, Texas; three brothers, Wilbur Lee Johnson of Tulare, California, Herman O. Johnson of Beaumont, Texas, and Lynn Michael Johnson of Dallas, Texas; two sisters, Joyce McElroy of Lynden, Washington, and Blondean Bartlett of Houston, Texas; three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Dorothy is also survived by nieces and nephews, other relatives, and her many friends.
Visitation will be held Monday, Sept. 19, from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at Olmstead Funeral Home, Inc. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, Sept. 20, at 2:00 p.m. at Wilburn General Baptist Church with Rev. James Thomas Penner
James Thomas Penner, age 68, of Drasco, Arkansas, passed away at his home on Tuesday, September 13, 2005. Born in Byars, Oklahoma, on December 28, 1936, he was the son of the late Ira A. and Ethel N. (McCall) Penner. Jim was a former resident of Trenton, Michigan, and had lived in Drasco since February of 1976. He was an electrician and enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, and computers. Jim was a member of the Drasco General Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by one granddaughter, Reanna Marie Reedy. Survivors include his wife, Clara Faye (LaDuke) Penner; three sons, Kevin Penner, Darin Penner, and Mitchell Penner; four daughters, Donna Gadberry, Carol Reedy, Judy Jorden, and Elizabeth Penner; four brothers, Donald A. Penner, Ralph Penner, Randal E. Penner, and William R. Penner; two sisters, Delores Robinson and Sharon R. Hamilton nineteen grandchildren: James, Jessica, Amanda, and Aaron Gadberry, Jacob Penner, Shawna and Aaliyah Reedy, Justin Penner, Jared and Geoffrey Jorden, Kaci Witter, Whitney, Gedde, Miranda, and Emily Dickerson, Todd, Brett, and Hayley Kinsey, and Morgan Friddle; three great-grandchildren: Nathan and Damion Gadberry and Matthew McElhaney, and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held Friday, Sept. 16, at Olmstead Funeral Home, Inc. Funeral services will be held Saturday, Sept. 17, at 2:00 p.m. in the Drasco General Baptist Church with Rev. Billy Henderson officiating. Interment will follow in the Friendship cemetery. Pallbearers will be Jackie McPherson, Rick Cunningham, Kenny Allen, Gary York, Ron Reedy, and Larry Witter. Betty Lou Fuchs
Betty Lou Fuchs of Heber Springs, Arkansas, passed away Saturday, September 10, 2005 in Little Rock, Arkansas. Born September 6, 1926 in Ranger, Texas to the late Melvin Thomas Clifford Shingleton and Sudie (Pascall) Shingleton, Betty was 79 years of age. Betty was a mother, homemaker, and a member of Heber Springs Christian Church.Besides her parents, Betty was preceded in death by her husband, George Fuchs on January 13, 1988. Betty is survived by her three sons, Victor G. Mallis of Heber Springs, Arkansas, Thomas M. Mallis of Moriches, New York, and Robert L. Mallis of Quitman, Arkansas. 7 Grandchildren, 1 Great Grandchild, other relatives, and many friends.
Services were held Tuesday, September 13, 2005 at Higden Church of Christ with Pastor Andy Thomas and Carroll sites officiating. Interment followed at Woodland Memorial Park at Edgemont, Arkansas. Arrangements were by Olmstead Funeral Home, Inc. Heber Springs, Arkansas.

Flora Estlee Nicholson
Flora Estlee Nicholson, age 94, of Floral, Arkansas, passed away at her home on Thursday, September 8, 2005. Born in Ida, Arkansas, on July 30, 1911, she was the daughter of the late Enoch and Oma (Lacy) Kennedy. Mrs. Nicholson was a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her husband, David Lee Nicholson, on August 26, 1987. She is survived by three daughters, Jessie Whorrall of Heber Springs, and Belle M. Wilson and Ettie L. Craven, both of Floral; and her grandchildren. Mrs. Nicholson is also survived by other relatives and her many friends.

Ancel Welborn Gibson
Ancel Welborn Gibson, age 80, of Heber Springs, Arkansas, passed away on Thursday, September 8, 2005, at the Veterans Memorial Hospital in Little Rock, Arkansas. Born October 24, 1924, in Laurel, Mississippi, he was the son of the late Norman and Bertha ( Boutwell) Gibson. Mr. Gibson retired from the United States Navy, a World War II veteran having served on the USS Enterprise CV6 and USS Ranger. He was a Mason and had been a member of the Hesperia Masonic Lodge #411 in Chicago, Illinois, for forty-eight years. Mr. Gibson was also a Shriner. In addition to being a master chef, he enjoyed his hobbies of collecting clocks and doting on his children and grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Louise Arnold Gibson, on October 13, 2004 and also by one brother, Fred Gibson, and his parents. Mr. Gibson is survived by one daughter, Debora Gibson of Somerville, Tennessee; one stepson, Alvis Arnold of Heber Springs; two stepdaughters, Joyce Williams and Cathey Cox, both of Heber Springs one grandchild, one great-grandchild, four step grandchildren, four step great-grandchildren. Mr. Gibson is also survived by his many other friends and loved ones.
Visitation will be held Saturday, Sept. 10, from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Olmstead Funeral Home, Inc. Services will be held Sunday, September 11 at 2:00 p.m. in the Olmstead Chapel with Rev. Wayburn Cooper and Rev. Kenneth Rolland, Jr. officiating. Interment will follow in South Cross Roads cemetery with Masonic graveside services and military honors by the American Legion Honor Guard. Mrs. Ruth B. Krauskopf
Mrs. Ruth B. Krauskopf, age 92, of Greers Ferry passed away Tuesday, September 6, 2005, at Indian Rock Village in Fairfield Bay, Arkansas. Born in Maryville, Illinois, on October 30, 1912, she was the daughter of the late William and Wilhelmine (Gronemeyer) Blass. A resident of Cleburne County, Arkansas, for twelve years, Mrs. Krauskopf was a homemaker and mother. She was a lifelong member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Maryville, Illinois, and attended Peace Lutheran Church in Edgemont for the past twelve years. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Earl O. Feldman and Theodore H. Krauskopf. Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, John and Joyce Feldman of Hillsboro, Illinois; three daughters and sons-in-law, Judith and David Wieduwilt of Greers Ferry, AR, Janet and Lester Boegemann of Claremore, Oklahoma, and Diane and Oliver Clarke of Cape Coral, Florida; thirteen grandchildren, nineteen great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren. Mrs. Krauskopf is also survived by other relatives and her many friends.
