Mrs. McClain was a solid Southern Baptist, keeping her membership at various local churches in the cities where she resided. She was a good seamstress, making many of her children’s clothes as they grew up. In later years she made quilts, blankets, dolls, and stuffed animals for her grandchildren. She is survived by her four children, Barbara Fuller of Woodland, California, Patricia (Don) Hopper of Copperopolis, California, Darlene (Ron) Wolfe of Merced, California, and Glen (Bobbi) Fuller of Wilton, California; and one brother, Douglass (Shirley) Low of North Highlands, California. She is also survived by two step-children, Wanda (Bill) Kerr of Quitman, Arkansas, and David (Shirley) McClain of Arkansas. She is survived by too-many-to-count grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband of thirty-two years, N. L. "Doc" McClain; one brother, Bondee Low; and two sisters, Reba Hill and Lillie Mitchell.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, May 6, 2005, at the Center Point cemetery in Quitman, Arkansas. A memorial service will be held at the home of her daughter, Patricia Hopper, at 2:00 p.m., May 15, 2005. All are invited to attend. Any remembrances may be made to your favorite charity or church.
