Aggie Muldrow
Aggie Lee Robinson Muldrow, 82, of Prescott, died Saturday, June 9, 2001, at Medical Park Hospital in Hope.
She was born April 14, 1919, in Prescott to Tom and Hattie Mayo Washington Robinson.
She graduated from Madam C.J. Walker's School of Cosmetology in Kansas City.
She was a member of St. Luke AME Church, Craven Community, and after her marriage to Harmon J. Muldrow, she became a member of Ward Chapel AME of Prescott. She was also a member of the S.L. Young Order of the Eastern Star, Chapter #385 of Prescott, and former past Worthy Matron.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Harmon J. Muldrow.
She leaves to cherish her memory: three sons: Horace J. "Petey" Muldrow of Prescott, Lionel Wayne Muldrow of Jacksonville, and Thomas Roger Muldrow of Fayetteville; one daughter, Delois M. "Sue" Cox of Texarkana; three brothers, George Robinson of San Diego, California, Wade Robinson of Magnolia, and Harvey Robinson of Memphis, Tennessee; one sister, Miria Smith of Little Rock and seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Funeral services were at 1 p.m. Saturday, June 16, 2001, at the Brazzel/Cornish Funeral Home Chapel in Prescott with Rev. Harold Box officiating. Burial is in DeAnn cemetery in Prescott. Arrangements by Brazzel/Cornish Funeral Home in Prescott.
Thelma Brink
Thelma Brink, 87, of Chidester, died Friday, May 25, 2001, at her home.
She was a member of Chidester Baptist Church. She was born on February 4, 1914, at Emmet to Marshal and Ada Dougan.
She was preceded in death by a grandson, Barry Wayne Wheelington and husbands, Charlie Wheelington and Sam Brink.
Survivors include a son, M.N. "Bear" Wheelington of Jonesville, Kentucky; a daughter, Jo Nell Beaver of Chidester; a brother, Vick Dougan of Hope; six grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were at 2 p.m., Sunday, May 27, at Chidester Baptist Church with Rev. Micah Mauldin officiating. Burial was in Chidester cemetery with Proctor Funeral Home of Camden in charge of the arrangements.
Joe R. Copeland
Joe R. Copeland, 77, of Bryant, died Thursday, June 7, 2001.
Copeland is survived by his wife, Bettye; four sons, Kenneth Copeland of Bryant, Roy Copeland of Louisiana an Leroy and Joe David Copeland both of Indiana; one half-brother, Curtis Johnson of Prescott; three half-sisters, Louise Knack and Janell Brennan both of California and Janette Graf of Oklahoma and five grandchildren.
Graveside services were held Saturday, June 9 at Stoney Point cemetery by Westbrook Funeral Home in Beebe.
Carroll D. "Jack" May
Carroll D. ‘Jack' May, 84, of Bodcaw, died Wednesday, June 20, 2001, at Christus St. Michael Hospital in Texarkana, Texas.
May was born December 31, 1916, in Bodcaw, to Christopher Columbus and Annie Dail Butcher May.
He was a self-employed carpenter and member of the Bodcaw Missionary Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by one son, Arvil Glen May.
Survivors include his wife, Ima Nell May of Bodcaw; one son, Douglas May of Little Rock; two daughters, Donna Brewer of Stamps and Frieda Kay May Knighton of Stamps; one sister, Mollie Bell Thompson of Shreveport, La., and eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Sunday, June 24, at the Brazzel/Oakcrest Funeral Home Chapel of Hope with Rev. Charles Walthal and Rev. Ray Bowman officiating. Burial followed in the Sardis cemetery in Stamps under the direction of Brazzel/Oakcrest Funeral Home of Hope.
Frances Ellen McDade
Frances Ellen McDade, 76, of Prescott died Monday, June 18, 2001, at Hillcrest Care and Rehab in Prescott.
McDade was born February 26, 1925, in Boughton, to Homer and Mary Smith Elmore.
She was a housewife and retired as a Certified Nurse's Aid after working for 16 years. She was a member of the Assembly of God Church.
Survivors include her husband of 58 years, Watson McDade of Prescott; three daughters, Louise Burkett, and Al, of Hope, Patricia Ann Monroe, and Charles, of Gustine, Texas and Sandra Jean Rader, and Ike, of Onalaska, Texas; two brothers, L.C. Elmore and Orland Elmore both of Lexington, Mo., three sisters, Gladys Wicker of Prescott, Eris Goodloe of Lexington, Mo., and Betty Sue Doddwell of Gurdon, five grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Thursday, June 21, at the Brazzel/Cornish Funeral Home Chapel in Prescott with Rev J.R. Callicott officiating. Burial followed in the Sweet Home cemetery in Hempstead County under the direction of Brazzel/Cornish Funeral Home of Prescott.
Juanita Mae Spencer
Juanita Mae Spencer, 78, of Prescott died Sunday, June 17, 2001, at Hope.
Spencer was born February 10, 1923, in Tahlequah, Okla., to James Christopher Tillman and Nancy Mae Whisenant Tillman.
She was owner/operator of an auto parts store, member of the Immanuel Baptist Church of Magnolia, member of the American Legion Auxiliary and a Girl Scout Leader.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Clinton Floyd Spencer; her parents, Jim and Mae Tillman; three brothers, an infant, Eugene Tillman and Charles Tillman.
Survivors include her son, Gerald Spencer of Emerson; three daughters and sons-in-law, Donna and Lonny Bradberry of Bigelow; Cheryl and John Wilson of Altus, Okla., and Cynthia and Ricky Reyenga of Prescott; two sisters, Pauline Giner of Novato, Calif., and Betty Easley of Sperry, Okla., four brothers, Leo Tillman of Okmulgee, Okla., Edmund Tillman of Pryer, Okla., Bill Tillman of Collinsville, Okla., Clarence Tillman of Coweta, Okla., seven grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews and a host of friends.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, June 20, at Johnson-Kunkel Mortuary Chapel with Jeff Easley officiating. Burial followed in the DeWitt cemetery in Humboldt, Kansas under the direction of Shackelford Funeral Home of Prescott.
Alta L. Dorman Mullins
Mrs. Alta L. Dorman Mullins, 94, of Hope, died Saturday, June 23, 2001, at Medical Park Hospital.
She was born January 24, 1907 in Nevada County, to Green and Lola Purtle Dorman.
She was a housewife and mother and former cafeteria worker at Bodcaw Schools.
She was a member of the Bodcaw No. 1 Baptist Church in Bodcaw for more than 80 years and a former member of the Dorman Sisters Singers.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Otha Mullins, by one son Terrell Mullins, by one daughter, Vernice Arterbury and by one grandson, Alan Arterbury.
Survivors include: two sons: C.Q. "Moon" Mullins and Jeffie of Texarkana, Ark., William Mullins and Helen of Prescott; one daughter: Mary Hinton and Jack of Perrytown; one daughter-in-law: Jeweldene Mullins of Bedford; one brother: G.W. Dorman of Hope; four sisters: Ruby Vines of Bodcaw, Jude Allen of Bodcaw, Lola Mae Allen of Hope and Opal Barger of Arkadelphia; 12 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren, and a number of nieces and nephews, and other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were at 2 p.m., Tuesday, June 26, 2001, at Bodcaw No. 1 Baptist Church, in Bodcaw with Rev. James Ross, Rev. Tom Stevens, Rev. Bobby Joe Wright officiating. Burial was in Bodcaw No. 1 cemetery, in Bodcaw. Arrangements under the direction of Brazzel/Oakcrest Funeral Home in Hope.
The family received friends, Monday, June 25, 2001, from 6-8:30 p.m. at the funeral home.

Nadine Myrtle Tippitt
Nadine Myrtle Tippitt, 82, of Prescott, died Tuesday, July 24, 2001, at Medical Park Hospital in Hope.
Tippitt was born July 21, 1919, in Prescott to D.C. and Josie Frances Tatum Tippitt. She was a member of the Church of Christ.
She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Elmer, Herman and Bluphard Tippitt; and three sisters, Byrd Tippitt, Christine Tippitt and Mrs. Charles Harrell.
Survivors include three nieces, Frances Harrell Russell of Dallas, Texas; Carolyn Wahlquist of Little Rock and Jackie Butler of Dallas, Texas.
Her body was cremated under the direction of Brazzel/Cornish Funeral Home of Prescott.
Captoria Pride
Captoria Pride, 84, of Prescott died Saturday, July 21, 2001, at Medical Park Hospital in Hope.
Pride was born February 4, 1917, in Nevada County. She was a housewife.
Graveside services were held Tuesday, July 31, in the Snell cemetery under the direction of Brazzel/Cornish Funeral Home of Prescott.
Roland George Meadors
Roland George Raymond Meador, 90, of Bauxite, formerly of Prescott, passed away Saturday, July 28, 2001.
Meador was born on February 22, 1911, in Bluff City.
He was a retired equipment operator for 25 years at Potlatch Forests, a member of West Side Church of Christ for 40 years and a member of Bauxite Church of Christ for the last 10 years.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William Henry and Johnnie Meador and two brothers, James Roy and Herbert Meador.
Survivors include his wife, Marion Estelle Meador of Bauxite; five children, David Gene Meador of Mabelvale, Geraldine Euzeba Wilson of Bauxite, Gary William Meador of Russellville, George Roger Meador of Kerens, Texas and Maxie Jane Walden of Cord; thirteen grandchildren, twenty great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Monday, July 30, at the Ashby Funeral Home Chapel with graveside services at Bluff City cemetery in Bluff City under the direction of Ashby Funeral Home, Inc. of Benton.
