Homer Lavender
Homer Ray Lavender, 81, of Prescott, died Tuesday, January 8, 2002, at the Medical Park Hospital in Hope.
Lavender was born December 30, 1920, to Ed and Maude Pearl Lavender.
Survivors include: his two daughters, Cindy Brassington of Oceanside, Ca. and Marci Rollins, Kaneohe, Ha.; three grandchildren, Ryan and Jeffrey Brassington and Stephanie Disbrowe.
Graveside services were Saturday, January 12, 2002, at 10 a.m. at the Union Grove cemetery near Blevins with Bro. Ricky Burke officiating.
Visitation will be Friday night from 6-8 p.m. at the Shackelford Funeral Home.
Services entrusted to the Shackelford Funeral Home in Prescott.
Ann Cole
Ann McGill Cole, 99 of Chidester, died Wednesday, January 23, 2002.
Cole was born April 21, 1902., in Tates Bluff to M.W. and Eliza Ann Josephine Tate McGill.
She was a former teacher of grades and Home Economics at Prescott, Chidester, Bluff City and Laneburg. She was a graduate of the Peabody High School and the University of Arkansas. She was the second homecoming queen of the University of Arkansas, a member of Phi Mu Sorority and University of Arkansas life member. She was a member of the Retired Teachers Association, B&PW;, Delta Kappa Gama. She was also a member of the DAR and WSCS. She was a resident of Prescott for 36 years, a member of the First United Methodist Church in Prescott and later joined the Tates Bluff Presbyterian Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, J.A. Cole, her daughter, and 15 brothers and sisters.
Cherishing her memory are: her two sons and one daughter-in-law, Jim and Sue Cole of Houston, Texas; and William Cole of Chidester; four grandson: David and Peggy Cole, Bobby Cole, Richard and Karen Cole and Tommy and Joyce Cole; three great-grandchildren, James Michael, Marshall Tate and McKinzie Annie; and 20 nieces and nephews.
Services were Saturday, January 26, 2002, at 1p.m. at the Tates Bluff Presbyterian Church with Robyn Nygaard officiating.
Interment was at Missouri cemetery at Chidester.
Visitation was Friday, January 25, 2002, from 5-7 p.m. at her home, 2094 Ouachita 23, Chidester.

Raymnd Birdsong
Raymond Edward "Ray" Birsong, 37, of Prescott, formerly of Little Rock, died Saturday, January 26, 2002, at University of Arkansas Medical Services (UAMS), in Little Rock.
He was born April 25, 1964, in Prescott to Ed and Anna Davis Birdsong.
He was a registered nurse. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Prescott.
He is survived by his parents: Ed and Anna Birdson of Prescott; two sisters: Tina Johnson and Dan of Wake Village, Texas, and Gaye Vanderbilt and Jeff of Prescott; one nephew, Josh Wicker of Prescott; four nieces, Anna Johnson and Leah Johnson both of Wake Village, Katelyn Wicker of Prescott and Tracy Vanderbilt of Prescott.
Memorial services will be 2 p.m., Saturday, February 2, 2002, at First Presbyterian Church, in Prescott with Rev. Robin Nygaard officiating. Arrangement under the direction of Brazzel/Cornish Funeral Home in Prescott.
Dorothy Wilson
Dorothy Crowe Wilson, 71, of Detroit, Texas, formerly of Prescott, died January 10, 2002, in Harlingen, Texas.
She was born March 5, 1930, to Glenn and Helen Prosser in Victor, New York.
Mrs. Crow-Wilson is survived by her husband, Walter G. Wilson of Detroit, Texas; three sons and daughter-in-laws, Herle and Krissie Crowe of Tucson, Arizona, Thomas and Deborah Crowe of Detroit, Texas, and Phillip and Lisa Crowe of Saratoga; two daughters and one son-in-law, Tonya Crowe of Little Rock and Helen and Donny Hunt of Prescott; a step-son and wife, Gary and Kelly Limpel of Pellake, Wisconsin; two sisters, Lois Hill of Winter Haven Florida and Elsie Lord of Golden Colorado; 11 grandchildren; one step-grandchild; and seven great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her late husband, Carvolin Crowe, two brothers, Ellis and Leroy Proser.
Graveside services were Monday, January 14, 2002, at 2 p.m. at the Macedonia Primitive Baptist Church cemetery in Dalark.
The family received friends at the Shackelford Funeral Home in Prescott on Sunday, January 13, 2002, from 6-8 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Arthritis Foundation or the Valley Baptist Medical Center Foundation of Harlingen.
Services were entrusted to the Shackelford Funeral Home of Prescott.
Helen Ingersoll
Helen Christine Ingersoll, 77, of Prescott, died Saturday, January 26, 2002.
Ingersoll was born March 31, 1925, in Prescott to Aaron Allen and Alta Sue McVay Ingersoll.
She was a homemaker.
Cherishing her memory are, her daughter and son-in-law, Marsha and Bill Griffin of Prescott; her four grandchildren, Jim Griffin of Burleson Texas, Joseph Griffin of St. Petersburg, Florida, Jennifer Weinkam of Frisco, Texas and Julie Capone of Charleston, S.C.; her six great-grandchildren, Shaley Griffin, Grace and Atticua Griffin, Griffin and Mitchell Weinkam, and Aaron Capone.
She was preceded in death by her father, Mr. A.A. (Rip) Ingersoll, her mother, Alta Sue McVay and her brother, Mr. A.A. (Buddy) Ingersoll.
Graveside services were Wednesday, January 30, 2002, at 2 p.m. at the Piney Grove cemetery in Boughton with Jim Lenderman officiating.
Services entrusted to the Shackelford Funeral Home in Prescott.
Visitation was Tuesday, January 29, 2002, from 6:30-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
