Pvt. Van Ryan Marcum, 21, of Prescott, died Saturday, June 19, 2004 in Fort Bening, Ga.

Ilene Nordrum
Ilene Nordrum, 68, of Bluff City, died Tuesday, June 15, 2004.
She was a homemaker and a member of the First Assembly of God Church of Gurdon.
Survivors include her husband, Joe Nordrum; two sons, Ricky Nordrum of Cabot and Mike Nordrum of Bigelow; two daughters Yvonne Kackley and Lisa Marty, both of Cabot; two brothers, Pierce Holliman of Nebraska and Steve Branscum of Panama City, Fla.; four sisters, Maudine Manning of Alton, Mo., Bertie Crawford of Mountain Home, Louise Taylor and Glenda Foster, both of Harrison; 12 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers and a grandson.
Funeral services were at 2 p.m. Friday, June 18, at the Horne Chapel. Burial was at Bluff City cemetery under the direction of Horne Funeral Home.
Visitation was from 6-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Ora Dildy
Ora Olene Rooks Dildy, 85, of Prescott, passed away on Monday, June 28, 2004, at Medical Park Hospital in Hope.
She was born on January 20, 1919, in Nathan, the daughter of Iliff Marion and Orrie Ellen (Reed) Rooks.
She was a teacher and Curricular Coordinator with the Prescott Schools and member of the Prescott Church of Christ.
Survivors include: one daughter, Phyllis Ann Dildy of Houston, Texas; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Services were Thursday, July 1, 2004, at 11 a.m., in the chapel of Shackelford Funeral Home in Prescott. Burial followed in Restland Memorial cemetery in Nashville with Howard Horton officiating.
Visitation was Wednesday evening from 8 a.m. until 8:30 p.m.
Evelyn Farr
Evelyn V. Farr, 82, of Texarkana, Texas, formerly of Bodcaw, died June 30, 2004, at Wadley Regional Medical Center in Texarkana, Texas.
She was born November 13, 1921, in Texas to William and Pearl Hollemon.
She was a homemaker and a member of Grace Baptist Church in Hope.
She is preceded in death by her parents, and one son, Arthur M. "John" Pine.
Survivors include: her husband, Billy Farr of Texarkana, Texas; one son, Raymond Pine and wife, Joann of Rosston; eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Services were Saturday, July 3, 2004, at 1 p.m. at Herndon Funeral Home Chapel, with Bro. Austin Missey officiating, interment followed at Rosehill cemetery under the direction of Herndon Funeral Home.
Visitation was Friday, July 2, 2004, from 6-8 p.m. at Herndon Funeral Home.

Billie McCrary
Billie Gerald McCrary, 83, of Prescott died Thursday, July 1, 2004, at Baptist Health Medical Center-Arkadelphia.
He was born Feb. 24, 1921, in Cisco, Texas, the son of the late Danny and Velma Hagar McCrary.
He was a retired employee of Standco Oil Field Equipment Manufacturing and a World War II U.S. Marine Corps veteran. He was a member of the Prescott Country Club and the Mens Golf Association. He was preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Lona M. McCrary.
Survivors include: his son, Billy N. McCrary and his wife, Sarah Kay, of
Arkadelphia; two grandchildren, Matthew and Mark McCrary; one great-grandchild, Michael McCrary.
Funeral services were at 10 a.m. Monday, July 5, 2004, at Ruggles-Wilcox Chapel with Dr. Tom Martin officiating. Visitation was from 4-6 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
Bonnie McVey
Bonnie "Boka" McVey, 61, of Rosston, died July 5, 2004, in Rosston.
She was born March 7, 1943, in Kansas to Thomas and Juanita Lewis Burns.
She was a homemaker.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Survivors include: her husband of 45 years, LaVerne McVey of Rosston; two sons, Roman McVey of Hope and Dane McVey of Conway; six daughters, Dawn Mathis of Conway, Mia Clifton and husband, Mike, of Emmet, Amber Turner and husband, Richard, of Prescott, Tara Robinson and husband, Daryl, of Prescott, Missy Cato and husband, Curtis, of Spring Hill, and Quinn McVey of Tucson, Ariz.; 15 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Church services were held Thursday, July 8, 2004, at 11 a.m., at First Baptist Church of Emmet directed by Herndon Funeral Home. Interment followed at Pleasant Hill cemetery in Prescott, under the direction of Herndon Funeral Home.
Visitation was Wednesday, July 7, 2004, from 6-8 p.m. at Herndon Funeral Home.

O.H. Ingram
O.H. Ingram, Jr. of Amity passed away on Saturday, July 3, 2004, at Riverside Community Hospital. Born on July 31, 1931, in Prescott.
He was a member of the Amity United Methodist Church, The Alma Lika Shrine, The Scottish Rites and The Masonic Lodge.
He is survived by his wife, Darlene; daughter and son-in-law, Kathy and Marcelino Carrillo of Romoland, Calif.; sons and two daughters-in-law, Jarrett and Donna Ingram of Alabama and Randy and Cindy Ingram of Riverside, Calif.; sister, Mildred Hart; brother and sister-in-law, Bill and Mary Ingram; brother-in-law, Bob Flynn; brother and sister-in-law, Fred and Betty Lynas; and six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Services were held on Monday, July 12, 2004, at Arlington Mortuary Chapel with Rev. Phillips officiating. Interment was at Riverside National cemetery. Pallbearers include: Bobby Worthington, Jerry Ingram, Steve Center, Jeff Laliberte, Brent Kimball, and Bob Lea.
He was joy to his family. He never met a stranger. He brought smiles to everyone, everyday. He will be missed dearly.
Jessie McKinnon
Mrs. Jessie Fern Milner Head McKinnon, 82, of Texas City, Texas (formerly of Magnolia), died Sunday, July 11, 2004, in Ashton Parke Care Center in Texas City.
She was born on December 19, 1921, in Hempstead County to Edward Theophilus and Myrtle Clauselle Bruner Milner. She was a Nursery and Food Service Worker.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Earl Head and her second husband, Coy R. McKinnon; by one daughter, Loyce Merle Head; two brothers, Joyce Wilton Milner and Leighton Carman and two step-sons, Ardell McKinnon and Coy McKinnon, Jr.
Her survivors include: one son, John Calvin Head and Wanda of Shreveport, La.; one daughter, Sherlyn Jean McKinnon Dyda and William of Santa Fe, Texas; one brother, Joseph J. Milner of Sarasota, Fla.; one sister, Jewell Rose Milner of Hawthorne, Nev.; and 16 grandchildren and numerous greats and great-greats; and one step-daughter, Maurine Barton and Jimmy of Galveston, Texas.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 14, 2004, at Brazzel/Cornish Funeral Home Chapel in Prescott, with Rev. Barry Nall officiating. Burial to follow in Sweet Home cemetery in Blevins. Arrangements by Brazzel/Cornish Funeral Home in Prescott.

Glendon Vines
Glendol Ray Vines, 67, peacefully passed from earth to heaven on July 16, 2004, at the home surrounded by family and friends.
Funeral services were held on Monday, July 19, 2004, 2 p.m. at the Allison Funeral Service Chapel, 1101 North Travis Street, Liberty, Texas, with the Rev. Jimmy Van Dorn, and the Rev. David Pursley officiating. Burial followed in the Cooke Memorial cemetery Liberty. Visitation was Sunday, July 18, 2004, from 5-8 p.m. at Allison Funeral Service.
Ray was born October 2, 1936, to Paris Wilson and Helen Faye Blankenship Vines, in Bodcaw.
He lived in Hull, Texas, for 47 years, where he worked as a welder and heavy equipment operator for Roeling Equipment; he served in a management position until the company closed in 1986. He loved his family and spent time outdoors mostly fishing and hunting. He was Baptist by faith and lived life believing in hard work and dedication to his God, his neighbors and his family.

Ray was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Peggy Jean Moon Vines, three children, Debbie and Marvin Taylor of Daisetta, Bobby and Glenda Vines of Hull, Rhonda George and her fiancé Steven Devillier of Daisetta, four grandchildren, Marvin and Christina Taylor, Amber Taylor, Bobby Vines and fiancé Holly McClellan, and Angela George all from the Hull-Daisetta area. He has two step-grandchildren, Kelly and Josh Young; two great-grandchildren, Shawn and Cori Taylor; three step great-grandchildren, Quince and Kane Bott, and Caleb Downs; three brothers, Wilson and Ellen Vines of Buckner, Harold and Sharon Vines of Arkadelphia, and Bo Jack and Shirley Vines of Bodcaw; a sister, Margie and Jim Schafterling of White Wright, Texas; he is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

James Cummings
Mr. James H. "Booger Red" Cummings, 80, of Prescott, died Thursday, July 15, 2004, at his home.
He was born on February 20, 1924, in Nevada County to Robert Lloyd and Eunice Munn Cummings.
He was a retired Arkansas Game and Fish Wildlife Officer and a farmer. He was an Army Veteran of World War II. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Joyce Benson Cummings.
His survivors include: his wife, Peggy Love Cummings of Prescott; four sons, Keith Cummings and Martha of Prescott, Hal Cummings of White Oak Lake, Bob Cummings and Lori of Prescott, and Ricky Cummings of Prescott; one daughter, Mary Cummings Godwin and Edd of Prescott; two step-sons, Steve Alsobrook of Sparkman and Rick Alsobrook and Kitty Sparkman; one brother, R. L. Cummings of Prescott; three sisters, Polly Powers of Palm Desert, Calif. and Regina Cole of Rolling Hills, Calif.; six grandchildren and one great-granddaughter with another great-granddaughter due in August.
Funeral service were 2 p.m. Sunday, July 18, 2004, at Brazzel/Cornish Funeral Home Chapel, Prescott, with Rev. Jerry G. Westmoreland officiating. Burial followed in Bluff City cemetery, Bluff City. Arrangements by Brazzel/Cornish Funeral Home, Prescott.
