Jean Bonds
Mrs. Jean Phenea Munn Bonds, 86, of Little Rock, formerly of Prescott, died Thursday, March 16, 2006, in Little Rock.
She was born on August 11, 1920, in Prescott to Thomas Owen and Lula Beth Barham Munn. She was a lifelong member of the Methodist Church, more recently Asbury UMC and Primrose UMC and was a member of the United Methodist Women Society Presbyterian.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her step-father, Minus Duncan 'Buck' Shell; her husband of 33 years, Herman Glenn Bonds; a son, Thomas Alfred Bonds; and two grandchildren.
Her survivors include: one daughter, Sue Beth Johnson and Joe; one son, Herman Glenn Bonds, Jr. and Karen; seven grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren and one step-great-grandchild.
Graveside services were at 12 p.m., Monday, March 20, 2006, at DeAnn cemetery in Prescott, with Rev. Jim Stone officiating. Burial followed. Arrangements by Brazzel/Cornish Funeral Home in Prescott.
Family received friends on Sunday, March 19, 2006, from 2-4 p.m. at Griffin Leggett Healey and Roth Funeral Home in Little Rock.

Suzanne Hulan
Suzanne Lee Hulan, 64, of Prescott, died Wednesday, April 12, 2006, at Medical Park Hospital in Hope.
She was born on March 22, 1942, in Prescott, to James Eugene and Louise Cummings Lee. She was an employee in the insurance office at the former Nevada County Hospital for 30 plus years. She was a Baptist and loving grandmother.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Her survivors include: her husband of 45 years, James Hulan of Prescott; one daughter, Lisa Dougan of Prescott; one sister, Rosemary Lee of Prescott; five grandchildren, Misti and Lauren Avery of Prescott, James Alex, Brad, and Raegan Dougan of Prescott; one uncle, Tom B. 'Bussy' Lee of Prescott.
Graveside memorial services were at 10 a.m., Saturday, April 15, 2006, at Liberty cemetery in Prescott, with Rev. Jerry G. Westmoreland officiating. Arrangements by Brazzel/Cornish Funeral Home in Prescott.
Audie Wakin
Audie Stuart Wakin, 83, died March 30, 2006, at St. Michael Hospital in Texarkana, Texas.
She was born November 19, 1922 in Nevada County, to Virgil and Anna Witherspoon Stuart. She was a homemaker and a Baptist.
Preceding her death were her parents; one son, Jeffrey Dale Wakin in 1981; one sister, Era Avery in 1977; two brothers, Dale Stuart in 1944 and Ramon Stuart in 1983.
Survivors include her husband of 58 years, Tony G. Wakin of Texarkana; one son and daughter-in-law, Steven G. and Susan Wakin of Pipe Creek, Texas; two granddaughters, Cassandra A. Wakin and Kristi A. Wakin of Pipe Creek, Texas; two brothers-in-law and one sister-in-law, Eddie and Gracie Wakin of LaVergne, Tenn. and Jack Wakin of Wake Village, Texas; two nephews, Denver Avery of Delight and Jim Stuart of Prescott; three nieces, Mary Staggs of Delight, Geraldine Stockton of Prescott and Evorie Loe of Prescott.
Services were conduceted at 2 p.m. Saturday, April 1, at Chapelwood Funeral Home, Nash, Texas, with Neal Ridling officiating. Entombment was at Chapelwood Mausoleum.
Varrie Young
Mrs. Varrie Young, 89, of Prescott, died Wednesday, March 15, 2006, at Hearthstone Assisted Living Care, Irving, Texas.
She was born on June 28, 1917, in Blevins to Clem and Ellen Maxwell Harris. She was a homemaker. She was a member of Mt. Ephesus Baptist Church, Prescott.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Marvin Smith; her second husband, Otis Young; and one daughter, Darlene Smith James Green.
Her survivors include: three sons, Odell Young of Lexington, Texas, Darnell Young of Dallas, Texas and Benny Ray Young of Fredericksburg, Va.; four daughters, Nannie Mae Smith Williams, Hattie Marie Young and Annette Young, all of Kansas City, Mo., and Lois Jean Young Elmore of Dallas; 18 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were held at 3:30 p.m. Saturday, March 18, 2006, at Mt. Ephesus Baptist Church in Prescott, with Rev. Joe Frank King. Burial followed in the Shorter Chapel cemetery in Blevins. Arrangements by Brazzel/Cornish Funeral Home in Prescott.
A wake was held Saturday, March 15, 2006, from 11-12 at Brazzel/Cornish Funeral Home in Prescott.
Heidi Hoglund
Miss Heidi Lane Hoglund, 18, of Hope, diedpassed away on Wednesday, March 15, 2006, in Magnolia as a result of an auto accident.
She was born on September 28, 1987, in Magnolia to Bill and Terri Neal Hoglund. She was a freshman student at Southern Arkansas University in Magnolia. She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Hope.
Her survivors include: her parents, Bill and Terri Hoglund of Hope; one brother, Zac Hoglund of Hope; great-grandmother, Ruth Jordan of Magnolia; paternal grandparents, Dick and Mary Hoglund of Magnolia; maternal grandparents, Vonciel and Calvin Neal of Magnolia and several aunt, uncles and cousins.
Funeral services were at 10 a.m. Saturday, March 18, 2006, at First United Methodist Church in Hope, with Rev. Darin York and Rev. Jason Poss and Dr. Tandy Hanson officiating. Burial was in Magnolia Memorial Park cemetery in Magnolia. Arrangements by Brazzel/Oakcrest Funeral Home in Hope.

James Collier Jr
Mr. James Aubrey Collier, Jr., 84, of Hope, passed away on Wednesday, March 15, 2006, at Christus-Schumpert Grace Home/Hospice in Shreveport, La.
He was born on February 16, 1922, in Hempstead County, to Jessie Aubrey 'J.A.' and Lillie Henry Collier. He was a former owner/operator of Collier Floor Covering Co. in Hope. He was a member of the Hope Church of Christ; an Army veteran of World War II having received a Bronze Star while serving in China; and also a member of the Hope VFW.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Lois McDowell Collier; one brother, Harrell 'Bud' Collier; and one sister, Kathleen Delony.
His survivors include: one son, Terry Collier and Denise of Mena; one daughter, Cynthia Rowe of Bryant; three sisters, Pat Rhodes of Hope, Lillie Mae Erwin o Searcy and Gladys Stone of College Station, Texas; one sister-in-law, Odelle Collier of Hope; three grandchildren, Teena Elrod of Texarkana, Kevin Rowe of Texarkana, Texas, and Roger McLelland of Fayetteville; four great-grandchildren, Hunter Elrod, Ashtyn McLelland, Hayle and Baylor Harris.
Funeral services were at 2 p.m. Saturday, March 18, 2006, at Brazzel/Oakcrest Funeral Home Chapel in Hope with Larry Culbreath and Harley Sisson officiating. Burial was in Memory Gardens cemetery in Hope. Arrangements by Brazzel/Oakcrest Funeral Home in Hope.

Bonnie Dennis
Bonnie L. Dennis, 77, of Magnolia, died Wednesday, April 12, 2006, at Baptist Medical Center in Little Rock.
She was born September 24, 1928 in Prescott, to the late Jethro W. and Fulma Dillard Lee. She was a retired bookkeeper for Chad White; a member of First United Methodist Church, and a member of the American Legion Forty and Eight Auxiliary.
She is preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Robert 'Bud' Loe.
She is survived by her husband, Couch Dennis of Magnolia; two daughters, Gwenette Jacobson and husband Russ of Magnolia, and Tama Martin and husband Robert of Cabot; one sister, Margaret Webb and husband Donald of Prescott; two grandson, Dr. Ryan Ward and wife Tera of Monroe, La., and Jon Martin of Bryant; two granddaughters, Haley Ward of Magnolia, Jennifer Coffman and husband Clay of Benton; three great grandsons, Tucker Ward of Monroe, La., Elizha Fields of Magnolia, and Jackson Martin of Bryant. Mrs. Dennis will be missed by her faithful companion 'Sam'.
Funeral services were Saturday, April 15, 2006 at 10 a.m. at Lewis Chapel. Dr. Walter Smith officiated, assisted by Tal Webb. Burial was in Memorial Park cemetery under the direction of Lewis Funeral Home. Elzie Muldrew, Jr.
Elzie Muldrew, Jr., 58, of Emmet, died Thursday, March 30, 2006 in a Little Rock hospital.
Mr. Muldrew was born January 27, 1948, in Hot Springs. He was an employee of CNA Insurance, Bellsouth, Alltel and member of Haynes Chapel Baptist Church, where he was a member of the senior choir and president of the male chorus.
He was preceded by one grandson.
Survivors include: three daughters, Jocelyn Cybil Wallace of Poplar Bluff, Mo., and Rose Elizabeth Muldrew and Danielle Jean Muldrew of Atlanta, Ga.; his mother, Willie Mae Muldrew of Prescott; one brothers, Derek D. Muldrew of Hope; one sister, Deborah S. Muldrew of Auburn, Ala.; one sister-in-law, Delois Muldrew; two aunts, Gracie Jenkins and Dorothy Williams; six grandchildren; and a number of other relatives.
Services were at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Haynes Chapel Baptist Church with the Rev. Frankie B. Mitchell officiating. Burial was in Snell cemetery in Emmet, under the direction of Hicks Funeral Home.
Cecil Price
Cecil Owen Price, 53, of Little Rock, passed away Saturday, May 6, 2006.
Born September 14, 1952, in Prescott, he was the son of Nina (Rutherford) and Wilford Maurice Price, Sr.
Owner of his own business since 1993, Cecil had been in the heating and air business for over 35 years. He also built and sponsored race cars, and was an avid deer hunter. HE was of the Lutheran faith.
He was a loving son, husband, father, stepfather, brother, brother-in-law, grandpa, and friend.

Cecil is survived by his wife of 10 years, Sharon Hindman Price; a son, Tony Price and his wife, Shaun, all of Little Rock; a daughter, Tracy Price Stricklin and her husband, J.D., of Maumelle; two stepchildren, Brian Wise and his wife, Tracy of North Little Rock, and Anna Peterson and her husband, Chris of Little Rock; his mother, Nina Price of Prescott; three sisters, Brenda Williams, Peggy McLelland and her husband, Thomas E. Jr., all of Prescott, and Linda Straun and her husband, Larry, of Nathan; eight grandchildren, Madison, Cameron, Chanse, Hunter, Elaine, Grant, Brooke, and Olivia, and mother-and father-in-law, Lillie (O’Neal) and Robert Lawerence Hindman of Sherwood.
Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, May 9, 2006 at Sylvan Hills Community Church, 8019 Sylvan Hills Highway, Sherwood, with Bro. Tim McMinn officiating. Burial was at Gibson cemetery in Gravel Ridge. Visitation was from 5-8 p.m. Monday, May 8, at Griffin Leggett Rest Hills, 7724 Landers Road, North Little Rock, 501-835-3515.
Howard Batchelor
Wm. Howard Batchelor, 79, of Gurdon, died Friday, May 12, 2006 at his home in Gurdon.
He was a retired Conductor for Union Pacific Railroad, a member of the First Christian Church of Gurdon and a US Navy veteran serving in the Pacific Theatre on the USS Deuel. Born in Poyen, to Willie and Vinnie Prince Batchelor on March 19, 1927.
The family wishes to extend to Dr. Stephen Snyder and Staff, to Dr. Greg Bienvenu and Staff and to Dr. Emilio Tirado a heart felt token of appreciation for the care they gave.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 53 years, Kathleen and grandson, Adam King.
Survivors include, three daughters, Vivian Overbey (Tommy), Diana Stroud (Happy) and Nancy Batchelor, all of Gurdon; three sisters, Janie Wilson of Bismarck, Grace Martin and Ruby Carter, both of Malvern; 7 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Grave side services were 2 p.m. Monday, May 15, 2006 at Rose Hill cemetery (Gurdon) by Horne Funeral Home of Gurdon.
